Starfighter8: Konichiwa! I hope you enjoyed the first chapter. I'm not very experienced when it comes to such things. ^^" And now to stop stalling and onwards with the story! Top_jock, do the disclaimer!

Top_jock: Okay. We three hunters do not own anything in the story except for the plot and storyline.

Story Starts:

As Angel walked on, she took out her clue and sighed heavily as the only clue for her was "the sunset" and beside it "obstacle". Angel groaned. This was going to be a long long day ahead. Especially when it is still dawn.

Soon, it was almost sunset and Angel was anxious. She did not want her search to stretch to the next day. A light tap on her shoulder nearly startled her out of her wits. Angel screamed. An amused chuckle greeted her as she whipped round, only to realise that it was only Youko and his band of thieves, coming to help on her quest. (A/n: *coughrobinhoodcough*)

Everyone was laughing at her. Angel was fuming with rage and scarlet with embarrassment. She stormed off, muttering about killing a certain fox. Youko realised she was leaving, he quickly stopped laughing and hurriedly called out, "Angel, wait! We were told to come with you to find the Yellow Topaz!"

"What do you mean, `we'?!" Angel hissed venomously. "Why do you even care?" The thieves backed away from the quick-tempered fighter. Youko frowned and replied, "Orders from… someone of a higher rank…" he seemed upset and grumbled about being sent to prison (A/n: 0.o … Powerful Toddler! *snicker* You should know what I mean if you watch YYH) After a few heated arguments over some small matters, the group set off once again, with a smirking Angel in front and a steaming Youko at the back.

After awhile of travelling west, they finally reached the sunset, which was glowing red. Out of the blue, a creature appeared before them. Everyone jumped back in surprise. She was pale with swan-like wings, cold emotionless eyes and a shining golden gown. Angel knew that this was the obstacle the clue was talking about. (A/n: clues talk???) She took a fighting stance, so did Youko. Mistaking his intentions, Angel thought Youko was planning to steal the jewel from her and became blinded with rage.

Soon, the battle started. Angel lunged out first and tried to hit the guardian. The latter laughed a laugh that froze her blood. "Foolish mortal! Did you think I would be so easy to beat?" She dealt a powerful uppercut to Angel's gut and Angel collapsed in pain. Youko was by her side in a flash, but she pushed him away.

"I'll kill her on my own, that filthy bitch!"

This time, it was an all-out fight between the guardian and Angel. Both fought with the ferocity of lions as the setting sun cast an eerie red glow around them. Equal in speed and strength, neither of them was giving way. However, Angel had a weak stamina and was slowly losing control of the battle. After almost two hours of non-stop fighting, it was dusk and too dark to see.

Now, the guardian had the advantage. Making every full use of it, she sent blow after blow to Angel, who fell to her knees. Fiery determination burned strongly in her eyes as Angel stood up once more. Going defensive, she cried out, "Baka fox! If you don't help me right now, I'll use you as a fur coat during my funeral!!" Youko had a sweatdrop on his head, but went to her aid at once.

The battle was to their advantage! Youko and Angel were an excellent team, and they were gaining control of the battle once again. Everyone was cheering them on. However, the guardian had one more trick u her sleeve. Conjuring a lightning bolt, she struck Youko and Angel, injuring them both. A paralysing spell was next. Poor Youko and Angel were trapped. (A/n: Trapped like a rat. *evil laughter*)

"Oh look! Seem like little Miss Weakling has found her limits. What a pity. She would have made such a lovely slave."

"I am not your f***ing slave!"

Out of sheer willpower, Angel managed to overcome the spell, her body had a powerful aura surrounding her, licking the air like flames of a candle. She helped Youko break free as well. The fox demon was furious at the guardian for using such underhand tricks. Using his powers, Youko summoned some vines, which wound themselves around the guardian's limbs. The guardian was trapped! Angel gathered her energy and sent a reddish-black blast of energy towards the guardian.

"No!!! How could such puny mortal defeat me, the Goddess of Light!" the guardian shrieked before evaporating into the air, leaving behind a yellow gem.

Overwhelmed with joy, Angel did a victory dance and hugged Youko for his help. She had completed her mission. Youko pried the girl off him. "Congratulations. You were good. The next time we meet, I hope to battle you." Angel grinned. "Sure! But I'll remain victorious!" With that, she left with the Topaz. Youko sighed. She was as proud and cocky as when they first met. Meanwhile, Angel had fallen asleep in a tree, in exhaustion from the battle. (A/n: Is it just me, or do I sound more like Hiei?) She wondered what had happened to her friends and wished them good luck for their upcoming battle.
