"A Love that was Always There"

Ch. 3

Link was out of the forest. He was so excited. He could have an adventure and see life outside of the forest. As he walked around he couldn't believe how horrible it looked. He thought that it would be beautiful, but all he saw was dead grass and black sky. Link kept on walking. He walked for a long time. As he walked, he was thinking if he should go back to the forest and forget about leaving the forest ever again. If this place looked so bad, he didn't want to be here. His heart told him to go a little bit further though. While he was walking he heard someone yell "SOMEONE HELP ME!"

Link ran to see what was happening. He suddenly saw an old man being held by a walking skeleton. "Gannondorf will be happen that I finally got you" said the walking skeleton. "Let him go!" said Link. "Yea, well make me. I'm going to get you so you mine as well run away now because going to die!" said the walking skeleton. Link ran up to the skeleton and slammed his Kokiri sword in the shoulder bone of the walking skeleton. "I'll get you for that" said the skeleton as he ran up to Link to slice him with his sword, but before the walking skeleton would get to him, Link sliced him which sent his bones flying all over the place. "Too bad it's you who's dead." Link said at the dead skeleton.

"Thank you for saving me. Those things have been after me for years. I can't believe I was so careless not to see him." "Well he's dead now, just be careful next time okay, I might not be here next time." said Link. "My name is Link." He said as he put his hand out to shake the old man's hand. The man couldn't believe this. "Your name is Link?" The old man said. "Yes my name is Link. Who are you?" The old man hugged Link and shook his hand cheerfully. "I have been looking for you for a LONG time. I didn't know what you looked like that's why I didn't find you sooner. Destiny has finally brought us together. My name is Rauru, I'm the keeper of the Temple of Time, and your everyone's hero" said Rauru. "Wait I haven't done anything to be anyone's hero, what are you talking about?" Link said. "Come with me and I will explain everything to you." "Okay" said link as he walked with Rauru to his home.

Hali was watching the sunset. She loved watching it. As she watched it, she would listen to her locket's melody. She loved it but she wished she knew where it came from. It was very special to her so she always wore it. She sat in a green field, which she had done every night, watching the sun go down, she just wished that she had someone to watch it with. Hali was a shy girl and didn't have any friends. All day she would help her mother and father, and in her spare time she would read or practice shooting her arrows. She was an excellent arrow shooter. She just wished she had someone to talk to other than her parents and that she would be on an adventure like she always wanted to do. "Someday, my wish will come true, I just need to give it time" she said to herself as she watched the sunset.

"You mean to tell me that when I pull this sword out, I will become the Legendary Hero, and I will defeat Gannondorf?" Link asked Rauru. "Yes you were the one chosen to fight Gannondorf and I have faith in you that you can beat him." He couldn't believe what Rauru was saying. He was going to be a hero, (if he beat Gannondorf). After living in the forest all his life, it paid off because he was going to have an adventure and be a hero to everyone. Thoughts kept racing through his mind. He was excited, but he was also nervous. "What if I can't do this? What if I fail everyone" he asked him. "You are the chosen one, just have faith in yourself and I promise you that you will defeat Gannondorf. Now get some rest we have a big day ahead of us." Said Rauru. "What do we have to do?" "We have to go to Straglin and get the princess. She lost her memory so we will have to bring her back over here and try and make her remember her past." Rauru said. "Okay then I guess I will see you tomorrow, goodnight" said Link as he went to bed.
