"A Love that was Always There"

Ch. 2

"Mom! Where is my locket?" Zelda asked her mother. "Look honey, its right here." Said her mother, Lushi. After the incident that happened in Hyrule, Rauru got her to Straglin. Zelda was hurt, she almost died. A few weeks later she recovered, but she had lost her memory. He knew a couple that wanted a child but couldn't have any. They took Zelda in as if it was there own child. Rauru thought that since the King and Queen were dead, everyone would think Zelda had died too. He thought if they would change her name, no one would think she was still alive. They would think she was an ordinary child. They decided to name her Hali. She has been living with them for the last seven years. "Hali can you come help me with this" "Sure mom" said Hali (Zelda).

Back in Hyrule, people were still working for Gannondorf as his slaves. Hyrule was once a beautiful place, but since Gannondorf took over, it has become one of the ugliest, deserted places you have ever seen. There was this forest called Kokiri forest. Children lived there but they never grew up. There was a guardian who watched over the kids, he was the great Deku Tree. There was this one boy though that wasn't a Kokiri; he was older and more mature than the other children. He was a 17-year-old boy who was tired of living in the forest. He wanted to get out of the forest and start and adventure. He loved adventures. He was an excellent swordsman, since he was too old to play with the kids; all he did was train with the sword. The Kokiri kids couldn't leave the forest, so he thought he couldn't leave the forest either. He thought he was stuck there forever. He loved the children and all but he was older now and he felt that he should be with people his own age and not kids. He was a very brave and strong boy, and someday he was going to be a hero. His name was….Link.

"Mido, go find Link and tell him to come see me now." Said the Great Deku Tree. The Deku Tree was Guardian of the kokiri children. He knew how Link was different from everyone else. He also knew that Link was going to be the one to save Hyrule and be a Hero to everyone. It was now time for him to start his adventure and to save everyone and destroy Gannondorf.

"Link! Link! Go see The Great Deku Tree now!" said Mido. "Do you know what he wants with me?" said Link. "No, but go see him NOW!" Mido was now screaming. "Okay thanks for telling me Mido" said Link as he was running to go see the Deku Tree.

"Deku Tree, you wanted to see me?" said Link. "Yes, Link, we need to talk. I know you feel odd being around the other kids and you being much older than them." " Yea, I do feel kind of odd, but I got used to it so it doesn't bother me that much anymore." Link said (but he lied). "Link you don't belong here for the rest of you life. You need to get out of here and see more than this forest. I know you love adventure, and there is adventure outside the forest. I think it's now time for you to start that adventure." said the Deku Tree. "You mean I can leave the forest ? I thought we Kokiri had to stay in the forest forever?" "Yes Link, but your not a Kokiri and you can leave. I think its time for you to leave the forest and start your adventure." "But where will I go?" Link said. "When you get out of the forest, you will know where to go and destiny will find you" said the Deku Tree. "Thank you Deku Tree" Link said with a big smile on his face. He was about to leave but first he wanted to say goodbye to all his friends.

"Link, be careful, we'll miss you." said Saria, one of his best friends. "Saria, I'll come back, but for right now, I need to go and see what life has to offer other than living in here for the rest of my life. Wish me luck." Link said. "Link we'll always be friends forever right?" Saria asked him. "Of course, friends forever" Link said as he hugged Saria. "Goodbye guys, I'll miss you all bye!" Link said as he was running out of the forest to start his adventure…
