As they left, Rauru, Link, and Hali were quiet. Hali still was shocked over what her parents had told her. Rauru then said "Well Princess Zelda is there anything you want to ask or know about your past?" "Well, what were my other parents like?" she asked. "Your parents loved you very much; they sent you with me because they didn't want to see you get hurt. Your mother gave you that locket, because she knew that it would be you who would send Gannondorf away forever. That's why that locket is very special." "But how do I put Gannondorf away, I don't even know how to work the locket." She said. "Don't worry Princess, all this is new to me too, but we'll do it together okay," Link told her. Zelda just smiled at him.

On the way back, they talked about Hyrule. When they got back, Zelda saw how horrible it looked. She couldn't believe that her parents once ruled over this place. She saw how the people were working and how they looked pitiful. "I have to do something to save them." "Zelda, Link, I'll be back later, I have to go run errands." Rauru told them. "You be careful okay watch out for anything okay." Said Link. "Rauru was off, and it was just Link and Zelda.

"Well Link I guess I will see you later," Hali said. "Where are you going?" he asked her. "Well I wanted to go look around and see what my Hyrule was like," "Well you can't go to Hyrule until everything is better b/c Gannondorf will get you." "Why don't I go with you, we can go out for a walk or something" he said to her. "Okay if you want to come, you can" Hali told him.

As they were walking, they notice the sun was coming down. The sat together by Rauru's home. "So are you nervous that you are the one who has to fight Gannondorf?" she asked him. "Yea, I'm nervous, but I got to save Hyrule and help everyone." He told her. Link told her all about how he lived in Kokiri forest and how he wanted an adventure. "So how does it feel to be a Princess?" "I don't know, I feel like I'm not a princess and that I can't do anything to help these innocent people. I just hope everything will be okay." She said to him. "Look Zelda, it will be better soon, I promise. If you need anything, I'm here for you." He told her. Before they knew it, it was dark. They had been talking for a long time. "Well I think its time to go" she told him as she was getting up, but before she could get up, Link put his hand on her cheek and kissed her. Link felt something that he has never felt before. Zelda also felt something strange. She had never been kissed before. She really liked Link a lot. As they parted, Zelda looked in his eyes and told him, "We have to go Link." As she was walking away, but Link caught her hand and kissed her passionately this time. Zelda gave in and kissed him back. "As they parted away, they looked at each other in the eyes for a moment, this time Zelda ran away from Link. "I'm sorry link, I can't do this, I can't be with you." She told herself out loud. Link just looked at her running, he knew that she really liked him and he liked her, he just didn't know why she was backing away from him. He walked back to Rauru's house still in shock.
