The campus was busy during passing period, but Nikumu managed to get to his locker anyway. 'I hope Daija and his cronies don't come back...' The younger boy thought as he exchanged his books. He closed his locker and began to walk to his next period. The raven haired boy smiled as he walked into his art class.

"Welcome," Mr. Hitomi said to his class as they sat down in their chairs. "Today we are going to work on tessellations."

Nikumu groaned inwardly, 'Everything comes down to math, doesn't it?'

Back with Rezuka, as he sat down in his assigned seat in his science class. He leaned back in his seat and prepared himself for a long boring period. 'Still an entire period before I can see Niki...' He thought.

Eventually the period ends, and the bell for breaks sounded off. Nikumu packed his sketchbook and finished tessellation in his bookbag. He walked outside, thinking about telling Rezuka about Daija. 'Wait...where am I going to meet him? I guess I'll head over to where I left him...' The raven haired boy walked over to near the entrance of the school.

Suddenly, five lagre boys surround Nikumu, preventing him from going anywhere. Daija walked up from behind Nikumu, and clasped a hand on his shoulder. "Hello, Nikumu." He said, deep voice straining to hold back malice. The raven haired boy shivered unvoluntarily as he turned around to face his tormentor. The bully smirked and curled his left hand into a fist. Nikumu closed his eyes, ready to recieve the punch. Daija pulled back his arm then swung it forward to punch the younger boy in the stomach. Before the bully's fist can connect with the target, Nikumu's hand came up and blocked it. Daija's eyes widened in surprise, as the raven haired boy's crimson eyes slowly open, and lock on those of the bully's. Again, they glowed with an unnatural light, piercing right through Daija. Nikumu's small hand grasped the bully's fist, as he grabbed Daija's shirt and pulled him down with the other.

Sneering into the bigger boy's face, Nikumu spoke, "You know Daija, belittling people is wrong, but for you, I make an exception." He raised his fist, ready to knock the bully out, when a voice seemed to call out to him from a distance.

"Niki! What are you doing?!"

"'Zuka..." the raven haired boy murmered, before relaxing his grip and letting Daija slump on the ground. He got up quickly and ran off, his fear-stricken cronies following behind.

"Niki! What's going on?" Rezuka said as he ran over to his lover.

"I...don't know." Nikumu said, as if in a daze.

The older boy wraps his kare into a swift embrace.

"Niki, what were you doing to that guy?" he said as he still held Nikumu in a hug.

"I don't remember..." Nikumu said, his voice a little muffled.

"Come on, let's go for a walk, okay?"

"Daijobu..."

The two boys walked over into the forest part of the school grounds.

"Why are we going over here, 'Zuka?" the younger boy asked.

"To get away from prying ears and eyes." the older boy says quietly.

"Oh..." Nikumu said, blushing a little.

They came over to a clearing, and Rezuka led Nikumu over to a tree with a hollow in the trunk. He sat down in it, and gestured for Nikumu to do the same. After, the older boy pressed his kare into a searing kiss. The younger boy responded with a return kiss, and it lasts for a couple minutes. Finally, the kiss is broken by lack of breath, and they relax against each other, letting their breathing rate return to normal.

"'Zuka? When you found me today, what was I doing?" The raven haired boy asks suddenly and quietly.

Rezuka looks to Nikumu with concern written on his face, "You were just about to knock Daija Kabocha's light's out."

Nikumu's expression reminded Rezuka of that of a fish. "I-I-I was about to...?" The older boy nods. Neither boy says anything, and they just sit there in silence. Soft crunching of leaves sounds off behind them and Rezuka looks around. Nikumu simply sits there, his eyes glazed over in thought.

"Nikumu?" a voice questions softly. Rezuka peeks out from behind the tree to see who it is? The speaker is none other than Daisuke Katsura. He wears his navy blue beret and a T-shirt that says seme in both san serif and kanji. He also wears a pair of jeans, and begins to walk over to the two boys. Rezuka taps his kare on the shoulder and whispers into his ear.

"Niki, it's Daisuke looking for you."

"The younger boy turns to face his lover, "Hn?" He asks, but then looks around the corner. "Daisuke..." he murmers and then gets up to greet his friend.

"Nikumu!" The taller boy says to said person when he sees him coming out from behind the tree.

The raven haired boy walks over to Daisuke, "Hey." he stops walking and turns back to the tree. "'Zuka, come on out!"

Daisuke, catching on, calls out, "Yeah, I don't bite!"

"...hard..." Nikumu mumbles incoherantly.

Rezuka gets up and goes to stand behind Nikumu, placing his hands on the younger boy's shoulders and looking at Daisuke.

"So, Daisuke, you were looking for me?" Nikumu begins, placing a hand on Rezuka's. The crimson haired boy spots a small twitch under Daisuke's eyes before he begins.

"I heard you got into a fight with Daija, I wanted o see if you were alright. That, and the bell is about to ring."

"Okay. Thanks for telling us, Daisuke. About Daija, I'm okay, so forget about it, 'kay?" Nikumu says in repliance. Daisuke sighs and nods. The younger boy turns to face his kare. "Well, 'Zuka, are we going to go?"

"Sure, but we need a place to meet during lunch. It was only chance I found you today." Rezuka says.

"Okay, but let's decide as we are walking, okay?" The raven haired boy says as he turns away to begin walking. Rezuka voices acknowledgment, and walks up behind Nikumu. "Daisuke," Nkumu begins, "Go on ahead, you don't want to be late for your German class."

"Right. See you later, Nikumu!" Daisuke says, sounding hopeful as he jogged off towards the school grounds. Nikumu waved and then took Rezuka's hand in his, and squeezed it lightly.

"Niki?" Rezuka asks, looking down to his kare.

"Hn?" The younger boy replied. He looked up to Rezuka, and saw emotions playing across his face.

"Are you alright?" the older boy asked.

"I'm fine, stop worrying! Come on, we're going to be late." The raven haired boy said, and pulled Rezuka's hand to get him moving. He stood stock still though, and instead of moving forward, he pulls Nikumu back and bends down a little to be face level.

"Well, if there is anything wrong, Niki, please tell me." He said before he kissed his kare soundly on the lips. After breaking apart, Rezuka gave Nikumu a hug, and led him back to the school grounds. All the while, Nikumu was silent, thinking of his past relationship with Daisuke. He still cared about him, but after what he did, Nikumu didn't could care enough to forgive him entirely. Besides, he cared greatly about Rezuka, in a deep way which even he couldn't explain. When they arrived back on the main grounds the bell had already rung and students were filing off to their classes.

"'Zuka," Nikumu began. His kare turned to him. "I gotta go to class. How about we meet back in the forest where we were before."

Rezuka nodded, "Daijobu. I'll see you at lunch. He bent down and gave Nikumu a quick kiss before running off in the direction of his next class. Nikumu smiled and walked to his computer class.

Rezuka just got to his class in time, and sat down in his deat. He was panting lightly as he got out his history book and turned to the correct page. History was easily his best subject, he didn't need to worry if he slipped off to a minute daydream...

Nikumu sat down in front of his assigned computer and turned it on. He checked his assignment sheet. 'Hn. Nothing, I guess it's a free day...' he logged onto the internet and went to check his email. He hadn't done so for several days, so he expect junk mail. He deleted most of it, saving the ones from his few online friends and Daisuke, until he came to one labeled subject: Zen'aku, sender- unknown. He curiousity intrigued, he saved it. He finishes deleted the other junk mail, and moves on to responding to his email. One of his friends asks him if he's still single. He laugh a little, causing some people to look at him, but replies with a no. Another email has a survey, and he takes it. Most of the questions are simple, until the question 'Have you ever commited a felony?' pops up. He quickly types in no, and moves on.

Meanwhile, Rezuka is half in and half out of a daydream. He jots down notes his history teacher tells him, but he isn't really thinking about them. His mind s elsewhere, perhaps on a deserted island under a shading palapa with his kare, or maybe snowboarding down a mountain sending a thumbs up to Nikumu, or maybe even at a Dir en Grey concert, blowing kisses to the band members, and recieving jealous looks from his raven haired lover. What he really was thinking about is unknown, but we can be sure he's enjoying it.

Nikumu reads Daisuke's email-

Nikumu-kun,
Hey, what's going on? I haven't seen you in a couple days. Are you okay? Please tell me, I still care about you, you know. If you're avoiding me because of Noriko, well, that wasn't my fault! She came on to me, and took control of the situation! I couldn't fight back, you know I don't hurt girls. The kiss meant nothing! Nothing at all. You know what I felt when she did that? Empty, empty because I could see you, I saw you Nikumu. I saw your tears, and that pained and betrayed expression on your face. I felt like she had torn out my soul and ripped it to pieces. That moment, when you ran off, I knew that was when I lost you. If you can ever forgive me, please write back.

Eien ai,
Daisuke

Nikumu covered his mouth with his hand and gasped. 'Gods, I bet Daisuke doesn't think I'll forgive him. What do I do? I forgive him...but...'Zuka...'

The raven haired boy opens a reply box.

Daisuke,

I don't know what to say. Daisuke, I forgive you for that, but, well I've moved on. I...I love Rezuka. I don't know why, or even how it started, but there is just an uncontrollable force that tells me to love him. And, I do. I loved you, but...after the incident, I...just felt horrible and awful. I had these strange compulsions. I felt fury when someone picked on me. I never felt that before, and then...Rezuka found me. He took care of me, and there was something there, something, that just drew me to him. It wasn't just physical and mental attraction, but something more. I don't know any other way to explain it. I'll really miss you, Daisuke... with all my heart. But...I'm sorry.

-Nikumu

Nikumu clicked send, and a single tear slid down his cheek. "I'll miss you..." He whispered. He monotonely responded to the rest of his emails, and then came to the last one. "Zen'aku..." he murmered. Suddenly, the bell rang, jolting him back to reality. He doesn't check the email, but saved it as new. He turned his computer off, grabbed his book bag and left the classroom.

Rezuka got up out of his seat and packed his bag. Whistling a tune, he walked out of his class and moved onto the next.

Nikumu's fourth period went by quickly, especially since he regarded everything deattatchedly. So when the bell rang, his troubled mind finally snapped out of it, and he remembered to meet his kare in the woods. He ran through the campus as if demons were chasing. He got to the clearing and sat down, waiting for Rezuka. He doesn't wait long though, because soon after the older boy walked into the clearing humming a melody.

"'Zuka!" the raven haired boy exclaimed upon seeing his boyfriend. He ran up and glomped him as soon as he could.

Rezuka smiled, "What, were your periods that boring?"

"No, it's just," he paused and looked into the older boy's eyes. "I love you so much!" he buried his face into Rezuka's shirt, and held him tightly to him.

"I love you too, Niki. Is something wrong?" said Rezuka as he returned the hug.

"Nothing, everything's fine." the muffled voice of Nikumu's said from it's position in Rezuka's shirt.

"If you say so, Niki." said the older boy quietly. "Now," he bagan, and pulled Nikumu back so he could see his face. "Is there something you'd like to do?"

Nikumu blinked and looked to Rezuka in a cute manner. "Well, just being with you is what I want right now. What about you?"

"Me? Well," he started, "I'm sort of hungry. We didn't exactly have breakfast."

"Oh, oops. Well, do you want to go get lunch?" The raven haired boy said as he scratched the back of his head.

Rezuka turned out his pockets, "No money,"

Nikumu laughed a little before checking his own wallet, "Well, I've got about 3,000 yen..."

The crimson haired boy scratched his chin. "3,000, huh? Ah, that should be enough!" he said in mock seriousness.

Nikumu laughed as well, "I should hope so! Alright I'll go and buy the food. What do you want?"

"Anything's fine. Just make sure there's plenty!" smiled the older boy.

"Alright 'Zuka! I'll be right back." Nikumu said as he started walking back to the campus.

Rezuka went to sit down in the hollow of the tree. He allowed his mind to wander, thinking of what they could do afterschool. Five minutes later, Nikumu stumbled back to the clearing, his arms and mouth full of containers of food. "Mmm, mm!" Nikumu managed to get out.

"Ah! Niki, I'm coming!" He ran over and took some of the food, including the container of sushi that was in Nikumu's mouth. "There. Why did you get so much?" Rezuka asked, laughing.

"Well, you told me you wanted plenty!" Nikumu said indignantly.

"Arigato, Niki." The older boy said with a smile. They carried the food over to the tree, and set it out. Then they sat down, ready to eat, when Rezuka makes a noise of confusion. "Niki, what are we going to eat with?"

The raven haired boy laughed and pulled out two pairs of chopsticks. "Try these, 'Zuka." The older boy looked sheepish, and took the chopsticks. They began eating ravenously, and soon half of the food is gone. Pretty soon, all of the food is gone, and only empty cartons, sauce and a few grains of rice are left. Rezuka looked to Nikumu. His kare had a few grains of rice and a little wasabi on his face.

"Hey Niki," said Rezuka.

"Nani?"

"You've got some stuff on your face."

"Where?" the raven haired boy asked. Rezuka leans in close to Nikumu's face.

"Right here," he said before he licked it off. Nikumu giggled a little. "Mmm, Nikumu with wasabi." said the older boy as he pulled back.

The younger boy smiled, "You know, 'Zuka, I think," he moved closer, "there's some food right here," and he licked off a speck of rice from the corner of Rezuka's mouth. The older boy smirked, and quickly claimed his kare's lips. Almost instantly, Nikumu allowed Rezuka entrance, as he explored the now familiar cavern. The crimson haired boy swept aside the remnants of their meal and leaned forward, slowly pushing Nikumu down to the ground. Nikumu moaned under the assault and he fell flat on the ground. Rezuka tangled his hands into Nikumu's hair as he deepened the kiss. The younger boy buried his fingers into his kare's shirt as he kissed back fiercely. They broke apart, gasping for breath, and looked at each other through half-lidded eyes. Nikumu caught his breath quickly, and then pulled the older boy back on him and sealed it with another kiss. Rezuka moaned into Nikumu's mouth, pleasantly surprised at his kare's anxiousness.

The younger boy is either unaware or doesn't care that dirt and leaves from the ground were embedding themselves in his skin, or that his own sweat was turning the dirt to mud.

Nikumu broke the kiss suddenly, "'Zuka..." he moaned. He could feel that this could lead somewhere that he didn't think would be too appropriate on school grounds.

Rezuka groaned, "I know..." he gave his kare a final kiss before getting up. His normally tucked in navy blue shirt hung loosely from his shoulders, conviently hiding his lust. Nikumu got up off the ground and dusted himself off. He turned around and the older boy saw the dirt. "Oh, Niki you're filthy!" he exclaimed.

The younger boy turned around, "Huh?" he asked, confusion written upon his features.

"Turn around," ordered Rezuka. The raven haired boy did so, and Rezuka took a moist napkin out of his book bag, and cleaned off the dirt and mud. "These things are so damn handy." The older boy muttered, as he finished wiping off the filth. "Kanryou," he said.

Nikumu turns around and expresses his thanks, "Arigato, 'Zuka."

Rezuka smiled and looked his kare up and down to check for more dirt. Seeing none, and no other evidence of their little make-out session, he nodded curtly. "Right. Now let's go back to the main grounds." he picked up some of their garbage and began to walk back. Nikumu did the same.

Now, full of energy from their lunch, and in a good mood, they go back to school, ready to face anything that comes their way.
