Ba-Bump, Ba-Bump
A young girl stares at a book. If the words in it say anything, they wouldn't. They would scream `Math!' The girl chews her tongue, writing down numbers almost at random.
BuBump, BuBump, BuBump
Her numbers turn into scribbles, into chicken scratch. A song pounds into her ears. Over and over, it beats. Her hand shakes. It seems she is angry.
BuBumpBuBumpbaBumpbumpbump.
A leg kicks. No more numbers. None. She has paper. The pencil moves. Scribbles. She is mad, mad, mad, why is she alone, mad, mad, don't scare the cat, mad. A leg kicks. She's angry. Mad. The song pounds. Mad.
BumpbumpbumpbumpBumpbump.
End of the song. Pause, then piano.
The girl stops. Listens. Smiles. Relaxes, then leans back. The chair creaks. She's still smiling
Bubumpbubump, Bubumpbump.
She closes her eyes. The song is a favorite. The singer softly croons her words into the girl's ears. She's smiling. Then, a long sigh. The song is almost over.
Bubump, BaBump, Ba-Bump.
The girl opens her eyes. Looking at the CD player, she reaches out and presses the replay button. Then her eyes close again.
Ba-Bump, Ba-Bump.
