"So did you get it?" Asked a cold, mysterious voice from the shadows of the moonlit room.
The girl nodded softly and looked up, deep royal purple eyes dulling. "Yes sir... I did..."
"Good... give it here, Tetha."
Tetha stood, luminescence catching in her long teal hair. She walked over to the man, shaking slightly in fear. She raised her arm straight out and dropped a golden object in his hand. She saw a smirk spread across his face.
"Thank you Tetha... you helped me... Arwin’s as good as dead now. Baylin will take the throne just you watch...." He laughed, it was cold and harsh. Tetha felt her eyes widen in shock.
"Sir you never told me it was an assassination attempt!!" She was infuriated but quickly put back in her place as he slapped her hard.
"It isn’t assassination... it’s just getting rid of Arwin... he’s not worthy enough to be ‘assassinated’." Lightly she rubbed the red spot on her pale cheek, wincing in slight pain.
"You’re plan is for him to just die slowly, Sir?"
"Yes..."

"So let me get this straight, you and your gay ass self wandered off again to the gay ass forest where you met a gay ass shadow-freak person. So your gay ass self and his gay ass self got into a fight. Then your gay-" Baylin swallowed hard as Arwin glared daggers at him. "Um..... ass self then got your ass kicked and.... what?"
"THE CREST YOU IDIOT WEREN’T YOU LISTENING!?" Baylin winced
slightly at his brother’s voice.
"I swear we should nick-name you ‘banshee’... what Crest? Um.... Arwin... you’re scaring me!" He felt himself swallow again and even backing away from his brother.
Arwin was always scary, like now, he was always bearing fangs and glaring evilly if you didn’t listen to him.
"That was the point dumbass! Did you ever pay a BIT of attention during SCHOOL!?" Arwin exclaimed, slowly approaching Baylin.
"ARWIN! Your wound opened again!" Baylin frowned as blood leaked through the white cloth he had placed around Arwin’s injured torso. Amazingly, Arwin’s eyes narrowed more.
"I don’t care about my damn wound. You don’t remember anything about the CREST OF ARKIUS!"
"Um... not really... Arwin... it’s really bleeding bad..." Now Baylin knew when his brother started growling, you were in deep trouble. And unfortunately there was a rumbling sound coming from the back of Arwin’s throat.
"Of course you didn’t pay attention, that would explain why your IQ equals that of a goat!" Baylin opened his mouth to talk, only to be cut off by Arwin.
"The Crest, the one that the god of this world gave to the first king! It was supposed to be passed down to every king! But since most of the kings lived to be 8,000 years old, they are made to give it up when they reach 950 years old! Remember?" Arwin
said, calming down a bit.
"Vaguely, continue..." Baylin replied, still looking at Arwin’s claws and fangs with a bit of fear.
Arwin sighed. "Well the Crest contains to power of Arkius’s life! If a king or king-to-be looses it-" Baylin finally butted in, chopsticks in one hand.
"That would be a prince!" Arwin blinked. Baylin was grinning madly, a bowl in one hand, full of noodles.
"Yes Baylin, very good! Anyhow if one of them looses it, and it falls into the wrong hands, the planet dies slowly! As does the person who looses it. You did see the evergreens in the Dark Forest didn’t you?" Arwin tapped his foot lightly, wincing.
"Yeah... they were dying..." Arwin nodded walking back to his place and sat down softly on the futon. Blood soaked the bandages.
"The process already started... Arkius is dying and if I don’t get it back, I die with it..." The room went silent except the sound of chop-sticks hitting the ground.
