Well now… I know I haven't updated in ages, but I've been really busy or out of town, or more recently sick as a dog, so…yeah. Hey, at least I tried, okay?
I know this is really random, but is slitted a word? My computer says it's not. It also says scry isn't a word. Which one of us is crazy insane? I'm betting on me…but it's always nice to be wrong.
Speaking of spelling mistakes and such, someone suggested I get a beta, I tend to agree. As I've never had a beta before, I'm not entirely sure what it is they do besides proof read. If no one volunteers you'll all just have to deal with my weirdly worded sentences and really obvious mistakes forever. So there.

Ava Eight

~~*~~*~~

Crimson blood drew a shining trail down Kael Zarchast's chin, oozing slowly from his self inflicted bitten lip. A helpless snarl of fury escaped his damaged mouth as he watched his most hated enemy fondle his lover. From his garishly decorated throne, Mar the Twisted Mage taunted his powerless would be opponent gleefully.

“He doesn't even know who you are, Kael. He doesn't know, and he doesn't care. Ava only knows me now, and he's happy that way. Aren't you, darling?” Mar tangled his hand in Ava's hair and the cat boy turned adoring eyes to him, smiling sweetly.

Kael howled in rage and struggled furiously against his lizard like captors. He tried to shout his anger, his denial, but the words turned to ineffective gurgles in his throat, thwarted by the mage's lingering spell.

“Oh Kael, Kael. Why do you continue to struggle so? You of all people should know not to underestimate the power of my guardians! I must admit, I was a little disappointed with how easily I caught you. I was expecting more of a challenge from my greatest of creations.” Mar nibbled Ava's pointed ear and eyed Kael speculatively. “What was your plan, anyway? Did you expect to be able to simply barge in here, through the main entrance no less, snatch Ava from me, and dash out again, all in one go? I had heard you were a brilliant tactician, a veritable genius. What happened, my darling?”

Kael glared at him.

“Ah, yes. You still can't speak. Perhaps I should dispel the enchantment?” Mar laughed as Kael lunged against his captors again, “Or perhaps not, I rather like you this way. Anyway, I suppose now that I have you in my clutches I should unveil my master plot, yes? It's not terrible complicated, so this shouldn't take longer than you can concentrate. Where shall I begin? My goals seem a good place… There was only really one thing I wanted out of this: you. Lovely little Ava is just an added bonus prize, spoils to the victor, if you will. You see, ever since you ran away, I've been wondering what I should do about you. At first I would have been content with simply bringing you back to me, but after I started hearing rumors about your military exploits…well, things changed.”

Mar shifted on his cushioned throne and readjusted Ava against his side. “If you had joined Karek's forces, I wouldn't have minded so much, but when you went to fight for those obnoxious northern morons… I've known about that for a long time, too, I just didn't feel like doing anything about it. You were annoyingly hard to track down, for one thing. You moved around so much. So I bided my time. I suppose you could say I was waiting for a golden opportunity.” Mar giggled at his pun.

“You certainly did your best to hide from me, didn't you? But then you made a mistake. You made yourself a home, and stayed there. The army didn't need you on the frontlines all the time anymore, right? Once I had a fix on you, tracking you down was just a matter sending a few of my spies after you. Once I knew all there was to know about you I lured you to me. You came like a well-trained dog, fool that you are, but you escaped me…and you hurt me. I may have let you live, even after all the pain you put me through, but then there was Ava.” The mage's eyes flashed with anger, and his lower lip curled, “How dare you take some little mage-made whore as your lover when you're no better than him yourself? Your presumptuousness never ceases to amaze me, you know. I should have never made you so intelligent to begin with.”

The mage sighed and shifted restlessly on his throne, “Ah, well, I'm sure I'm boring you so I'll make this short. The point, if there really is a point, is that you've disappointed me for the last time. Bonding with some cat-slave was the last straw. I'm going to kill you, Kael, but first I'm going to destroy you. I've already taken your lover, now I'm going to desecrate your body and rape your mind until you're nothing more than a mindless piece of meat. Then I'm going to kill you in the most horrendously painful way I can't think of, even if you're to far gone to feel it. Once I'm done I'll feed what's left of your corpse to Ava as a treat.” Mar ruined the dramatic effect of his disturbing speech by trailing into a fit of hysterical giggles once he was finished.

The lizard men tightened their grip on Kael as if anticipating another escape attempt. The demon didn't bother; he knew it was a lost cause so he contented himself with glowering menacingly at Mar. He had received his fair share of death threats in his life, but never ones as in depth as Mar had just outlined. There was no doubt in his mind that the mage would happily carry out his threats with the utmost delight. Kael wondered briefly what terrible circumstances had shaped Mar into the evil, sadistic creature he was today. He found it hard to believe that such malevolence could have been present at birth. Kael realized he should pity his creator, but found it difficult to feel anything but hatred for one so blatantly evil.

No, Mar was more than evil, he was mad. The mage was completely and totally insane. His mind was a twisted, convoluted miasma of pure lunacy. Kael had seen evidence of this time and time again in his dealings with Mar. What sane creature would create beings such as the lizard guardians or the troll-thing from the forest? Why, for that matter, would anyone create a demon such as Kael? Mar's mind worked in ways the sane could never hope to comprehend, and Kael was glad of this. He had no desire to understand Mar; he only wished to kill him. Ridding the world of the mage would be as much a mercy to the world as to Mar himself.

“Oh, Kael. You're not paying attention to me! Have I lost your interest, then?” Mar's sweetly seductive voice held a note of annoyance now. The mage disliked being ignored. “Since you seem to have calmed down a bit maybe I should see what you have to say, hmm?” Mar smirked at Kael and made a pass with his hand.

Kael cleared his throat experimentally, and sneered at his creator. “What makes you think I have anything to say, Mar?”

Mar giggled, and flipped his silver hair out of his face. “Well, you're going to be tortured and die…I'd think you'd have something to say about that.”

“Do you expect me to beg, master?” Kael snarled.

“It's been so long since you called me that, but no, I don't. If I recall, the only thing you ever begged for was release…”

Kael snorted, “I'm sure I did, mage. But then, you had to drug me to do that too, didn't you?”

Mar glowered at him, and hissed to his guards, “Take him to the Hole, and leave him there.” The Hole, of course, being Mar's semi-original name for his torture chambers, to Kael he said, “You'll have to excuse me if I leave you to the attentions of my guards for a bit, I have some unfinished business to attend to. Isn't that right, Ava?” Mar leered at Kael and groped Ava suggestively.

Kael's lip curled, but he managed to control himself. He was convinced that Mar wasn't hurting Ava now. The little cat boy really had no idea what was going on around him. Mar's insidious drugs had stripped all but his physical senses from him. As long as his little slave wasn't in pain or frightened, Kael would keep his cool. “I hope you don't keep me waiting to long. I can't wait to see if your technique has improved since I left.”

Mar gave him a disgusted look and dismissed his servants with a wave of his finely manicured hand before turning his attentions back to Ava. Kael caught a last glimpse of the mage plunging his tongue past Ava's unresisting lips as he was hustled from the room by his reptilian captors.

Mar really did hate Kael with all his black little heart. The stupid demon always managed to say the right things piss Mar off. Who's bright idea had it been to make Kael so god damned smart in the first place? Oh right… it had been his. No matter, nothing would save Kael now, not his intelligence, not his strength, nothing. Mar would have his revenge and all would again be right with the world.

In the mean time he would cool his heels with Ava. It would be less than wise to begin playing with Kael before he had calmed himself. The demon would require his full attention, which Mar was unable to give in his current irate state.

“Darling Ava…whatever would I do without you?” Mar mused.

Ava smiled up at him contentedly, and sighed with pleasure as Mar began kissing his neck. The mage cradled his drugged slave in his arms as he transferred them to the floor cushion Ava had formerly occupied.

“Do you want me to take you, kitten?” he asked, nuzzling Ava's ears.

Ava twined his slender legs around Mar's waist and rubbed his bottom against the mage's exposed genitals in response. Mar laughed and rolled himself on top of the eager slave, already fully aroused. Ava stared up at him with wide, innocent violet eyes and arched readily against him.

Mar pushed forward gently and found himself sheathed fully in Ava with hardly any resistance. “Gods, little one…always prepared, aren't you?”

Ava mewed with pleasure and dug his blunt nails into Mar's shoulders. “Oh…Master! It feels so good…”

“No kidding…” Mar muttered as he began to thrust. Ava was truly an exquisite creature, tight, hot and unbearably sweet. The slave met each of Mar's thrusts with his own, and tightened his inner muscles as Mar slid deeply into him. Each of the mage's rough thrusts brought his cock into brief contact with Ava's sweet spot, causing the boy to moan piteously and clench desperately around him.

They rocked together on the plush cushion, gasping and moaning as one. Silver locks mixed with flame colored tresses as Mar buried his face in Ava's pale throat. Ava's slim member rubbed tantalizingly against his lover's tense stomach, and he cried out deliriously, more than eager for release.

“Ah! Master, please… harder!” Ava wailed, feeling himself nearing that incredible peek.

Mar complied, plunging into Ava with almost brutal force. He nipped at Ava's pale shoulder and pushed his nose into his sweet smelling hair. “Almost there, little one.” He panted. The mage groaned as he felt Ava's slick passage tighten spasmodically around him when the boy climaxed.

Ava screamed and writhed against Mar, sobbing with ecstasy as he reached his peak. He spilled himself against the mage's belly, and clawed his back desperately. Mar slammed into Ava's arching body twice more before losing himself in mutual bliss with a tortured groan.

The mage lay limply on top of Ava for several moments before coming back to himself. He rolled slowly off the boy and lay beside him on the cushion, utterly exhausted. Never before had he lost his carefully cultivated control so easily with a lover. He was physically tired, but elated at the same time. He had claimed Ava yet again as his own. Kael would feel his lover's pleasure and know that he, Mar, was the cause of it. Mar's full lips curved in a self satisfied smile and he slowly got to his feet.

“Come, Ava. I'm sure you'd like to rest now. I will take you to your room, yes?”

Ava stood gracefully and looped his arms around Mar's neck. “Will you stay with me, Master?” He asked sweetly.

“I'm afraid I can't, love. I have urgent business to attend to. I will be there when you wake, that I promise.” Mar led Ava to his personal sleeping chamber and lay him out on a soft couch beneath an open window. He covered his sleepy slave with a blanket and kissed him before using a simple spell to put him to sleep.

“Once I'm finished with your former Master I'll be back to see you, lover, rest assured. Sleep well my beautiful toy.” Mar snickered and swept from the room, heading for the dark recesses of his lair.

When Ava woke, his mind was a muzzy blur. He lay limply on his side as he tried to clear the fog from his head and put together his thoughts. He had the vague sense that something was wrong. The bed he lay on was wrong for one thing. It was much to soft to be his bed at the school. The smell was wrong, too. His room was musty and cool. This place smelled of perfume and was comfortably warm.

Ava pushed himself to a sitting position and rubbed his eyes with balled fists. He yawned hugely and stretched, opening his slitted, violet eyes. He squeaked in surprise, and stared around himself in amazement. He was most definitely not in his room anymore. He was in a huge bedchamber, lying on a soft cushioned divan surrounded by silk covered pillows.

Where in god's name was he?

Ava closed his eyes and concentrated. There was something…someone… His hand rose involuntarily to his neck and he started with surprise. His fingers touched not the rough leather of his slave collar, but the smooth, cool metal of a different collar. Ava gasped. Memories jolted him... The man, the evil man who had abducted him… Leaving the school… Going home with his new Master…

Kael!

The demon's handsome face swam before Ava's confused eyes with such crystalline clarity that he felt he could reach out and touch him. But Kael was not there. He was…Ava strained to remember. Kael had been near him recently, Ava knew. All the memories were jumbled and strangely blurry, but he was slowly sorting through them.

The bad man had been there with Kael, but before Kael Ava had been alone with the bad man. The bad man had done things to him… He had given Ava things that jumbled his thoughts that made him feel false love and devotion for him. He had been in that confused state for some time, days at least, before Kael had come. So why was he awake and able to think clearly now?

Little did Ava know that his mage-made body had saved him yet again. His healing ability, designed for fixing the wounds of love making, was also able to negate the effects of drugs, given time. His magical nature had helped him subconsciously throw off the coercive spells Mar had placed on him as well. In short, he had done what Mar had never even suspected was possible.

Completely unaware of his accomplishments, Ava gnawed his lower lip worriedly. He knew, without knowing how he knew, that Kael was in trouble. It was almost as if his Master were in the back of his mind telling him how he felt by showing Ava his feelings. Ava could tell Kael was in pain and very, very angry, but not frightened. Kael was experiencing terrible agony, but at the same time Ava got a strange feeling that he was pleased about something. The redhead also knew that Kael was close by.

Ava rose from the divan and stood in the middle of the room, undecided. His Master was in pain and needed his help, Ava was sure of this, but what he could do about it he didn't know. There was a gentle tug in Ava's mind that the slave was sure would lead him to Kael if followed, and he was eager to pursue it. First he would have to find clothing. All he wore at the moment was the golden collar and…nothing else. Ava scooped up the blanket from the divan and wrapped it around himself toga style before turning to the door.

He winced as he took a step and fluid leaked down his thigh. He knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that it was the bad man's. He also knew that the bad man must be lurking somewhere, possibly with Kael. Ava suppressed a shudder, he didn't want to see the bad man ever again, but if he wanted to save his Master…

Ava tightened his jaw and marched resolutely to the door, opening it. He peeked outside and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw no guards. There were no blaring sirens or angry shouts when he stepped into the corridor or when he turned the corner at the end or the hall. In fact, the open ceiling passages seemed to be unexpectedly deserted. Ava didn't push his luck by lingering and hurried in the direction of the pull, eager to find his Master and escape this nightmare.

~~*~~*~~

What felt like hours later, Ava rounded a bend and almost smacked right into a huge, wrought iron door. The pull had been growing increasingly stronger, and the feelings he was receiving from Kael increasingly more alarming the deeper into the castle cellars Ava got. He had found the entrance to the subterranean levels purely by accident when he had hidden behind a tapestry to avoid a passing sentry. There had been a stairwell behind the hanging, and when Ava had started down it the pull in his mind had suddenly strengthened.

He had blundered about what he assumed to be cellars for ages, stumbling over a skeleton or two, and running into walls before he found another set of stairs leading deeper into the earth. His sensitive nose had detected the scent of blood and death long before he reached the huge iron door. Once he'd put two and two together and realized that he was most likely headed for some sort of torture chamber, and that Kael was undoubtedly being tortured in said chamber, his sense of foreboding had morphed into a state of panic.

If Kael was being tortured then Ava would have to save him. Kael would be in no shape to save himself, much less Ava so he would have to rescue both of them. The slender slave steeled himself and grasped the handle of the iron door. Kael and the bad man were on the other side. The bad man was hurting Kael, and Ava was going to stop him.

The heavy door swung inward with not even the slightest of squeals. The room it opened into was dimly lit by torches and stank of fear and blood. Ava's sharp eyes picked out a scene straight from the most hellish of nightmares. Devices of torture packed the room. Strange machines Ava couldn't name lined the walls and horrible instruments of pain lay everywhere. The overpowering aura a pain and despair made Ava nauseous, but it was what was happening in the center of the room that almost made him scream.

In the center of the room stood two stone slabs. Kael lay strapped to the left most slab covered in gore and blood. The demon's wounds were to numerous and ghastly for Ava to fully comprehend them. Kael's wings lay in tatters around him and his chest was a latticework of oozing gashes. His dark hair was matted with blood and his face was bruised and cut in several places. Ava had known that his Master's injuries would be terrible, but he was still stunned into immobility.

As it were, it may have been Ava's shock that saved him, for Kael was far from alone. The lizard-like warriors Ava had seen in the halls surrounded the slab, watching Kael and occasionally reaching out to dig their vicious claws into him. The lizard's master was also in attendance. Mar was on top of the semi-conscious demon, moving rhythmically and moaning. A lizard-man shifted to the side and Ava got a good look at Mar fucking himself on his captive's ridged cock. The mage's slender hands were flat on Kael's shredded chest and his head was thrown back in ecstasy.

“Oh, gods… Kael…you stupid slut…can't resist me even when you're…half dead…”

The sound of the bad man's voice shook Ava from his stupor and galvanized him into action.

“Stop!”

At the sound of Ava's cry, the lizard-men whirled to face him, hands going to their weapons. Mar froze on top of Kael and turned to Ava, disbelief on his pretty face. “Ava…” he breathed, “What do you think you're doing? Why did you leave you're room? Why are you awake?”

“Get off him! Stop hurting my Master, you bastard!” Ava shrieked. Kael's pain enraged Ava and the need to help Kael was overpowering.

Mar slid off of Kael and stalked towards Ava. “You broke my bindings?” The mage snarled, “You broke my bindings? How dare you, stupid WHORE!” his voice rose to a furious scream, and he grabbed for Ava.

Ava gasped when the mage attacked him. Mar flailed at him, striking his face and clawing at him, screaming all the while. Ava fell to his knees, covering his face with his arms and tried to crawl away from the crazed mage. Mar kicked at him, shrieking. “I'm going to kill you! You've ruined everything! You stupid, stupid slut!”

The attack only lasted a few minutes, but left Ava covered in bruises and scratches. Mar's tantrum ended as quickly as it had begun and the mage stepped away from him. Once Ava was sure the blows had stopped for good he dared to look up at his attacker. Mar stared down at him with cold sapphire eyes, mouth twisted with anger.

“I should have known you'd overcome the drugs with you're healing, of course. I should have anticipated…but it doesn't matter now, to late. You're spoiled for me now, I'll have to kill you along with you're filthy master. Naghine, come here.”

The largest lizard warrior responded to his master's call and came to his side. “Yesss, Massstir?” he hissed.

“Bind him to the other slab.” Mar's cold eyes met Ava's and he sneered, “You and warriors may have you way with him as long as you wish…he is no more use to me.”

Terror filled Ava like a flood of icy water as he was jerked to his feet by Naghine and dragged towards the second stone slab.

Somebody (not on this site) keeps asking how cattish Ava is, so I suppose I should finally answer them. Ava purrs like a cat, humans can't purr so it only makes sense. He cries like a human. I didn't even know cats could cry… He's not *furry* god damn it! He doesn't even have pubic hair, alright? He doesn't have whiskers either. I guess he does have catty mannerisms, but he doesn't realize it as he's never seen a cat before. Ava doesn't know a lot of things, poor kid. He's to cute and cuddly.

My birthday's on Wednesday…just incase anyone cares…*sob*
