Fan Fiction ❯ Blood Lustre ❯ Old ends ( Chapter 2 )
Poison arrived at the run down apartment, the tall building stood out against the dark night, the lonely windows glowing with the warmth of light signaling to the housing of someone. It was here she would find her source.
She walked into the hall through the battered doors with out an emotion spreading across her face, not a glint in her eye, not a flinch on her pale face. Her boots thudded as she began to trek up the stairs, each step creating a soft pad that echoed throughout the silent space. She arrived on the 4th floor, looking to her left then to her right she saw the corridor unoccupied, not a soul existed with in the rotted halls. She tilted her head up slowly and sniffed at the air. Her eyes darted to the side as she turned to her left and began to walk down towards a room. The rusted numbers once upon a time probably a shiny brass hung from dull nails on the wooden door that she had stepped in front of. She rapped her knuckles on the old oak and waited, her ears straining for any sounds from the interior, a rustle sounded followed and she took a few steps backwards then raised her left leg and moved forward. The heel of her boots rammed to the wood and the lock that had been placed from the other side of the door gave way instantly, the force of her impact making it fly from its mound and scuttle across the floor.
The door now opened, she stepped into the room deafly, her blue eyes searched the area for her target. She saw him huddled into the corner shivering like a scared child. She walked up to him and towered over the man, he was of Latino origin, long dark brown hair spilling over tanned skin and large olive eyes. His ripped straight leg jeans and plain black t-shirt were damp, probably form sweat.
Her lip turned up slightly as she smirked at him sardonically
"Well hello there Jak" she said in a soft yet spine chilling voice. She stepped away from him and sat down in a torn up arm chair and folded one of her legs over the other casually "thought you could leave town without me knowing did you?" she said as she eyed the few suitcases by the window leading to the fire escape
"No Poison...I...I" he began and she snapped her head to the side and glared at him sternly before he could go any further.
"don't even try and sweet talk your way out of this" she growled at him "you know why I'm here, yes?" she said her voice no longer soft but hard and to the point. The man nodded as he stood from his corner and moved shakily over to the chair next to her. Her eyes followed him as she waited for him to be seated, his hands shook involuntarily before he clasped them together and rested them in his lap and she waited patiently for him to be ready to talk.
"VAS has risen again" he said in a breathless tone and she looked at him, her eyelids spreading slightly as Poison stared at Jak in disbelief.
"That's impossible, my family destroyed them over 17 years ago" she stated as her mind dwelled momentarily to the stories her mother had told her. Her mother, father and her uncle and how they had destroyed the organization for their crimes against the vampires. Poison shook her head a few times as she dispelled the thoughts from her head.
"It's true" Jak spoke "Helen Collins, the new head of technology at VAS. She created these...robots. They're called the Technocracy's" he panted, his entire body still shaking radically "their only objectives...kill their target at the order of VAS." Jak raised his head to look at her as he waited for Poison to digest the information.
"VAS has sent them after me haven't they" she said as she searched him for anything that might indicate a lie. Jak shook his head slowly his eyes trained on hers intently.
"No" he said gravely "not just you, your brother as well" and he looked away from her at that moment for he knew what was to come
"NO!" she yelled as Poison rose to her feet taking hold of the arm chair as she did. She lifted it into her hands and hoisted it over her head with ease before throwing it across the room. The hunk of old furniture landed on the ground then smashed with a loud crash into the sections that had formerly made it and shattered parts of the wood. Her breath was coming out in slight pants from her anger that was flowing through her like fire in her veins. Her eyes were fading away from the red they had previously been in her act of fury.
Jak was cowering again, huddled in the back of his chair, he knew full well what Poison was capable of, her skills as a fighter, that, and a killer. Poison exhaled but it did nothing to pause her rage and she began to yell again not wanting to attract any more attention to the apartment than she must have already done in her fit.
"Why!?, why Ruin, he has done nothing. He left me behind him after the death of Sarah, he abandoned the Malkavian nation and blended into the rest of the mortal world, he has done NOTHING." She was crouched over him now, her hands on either one of the arms of the chair. Her face directly in front of his and her fangs bared beneath her pulled back lip, snarling at him.
A bead of sweat ran down Jaks' forehead and sloped past his ear, he was used to her occasional fits of anger through the information he had to tell her but never before had it been so drastic that the change almost took over her. His heart was throbbing in his chest and he hoped the next words he was to speak would not be his last.
"it doesn't matter" he whispered "he is of your mothers kin, same as you, he will die...and so shall you" he heaved the last words as his hand dug behind his back and he pulled free a classic S&W revolver and brought it about to her head. Poison sighed, his movements appeared to her in slow-motion, everything was slowed dramatically, except her. Her hand raised as her nimble fingers snatched around the barrel of the gun and diverted it from her head. The trigger pulled down and the bullet fired through from the hammer, flying past her ear and slamming into the wall behind her creating a dust halo.
She narrowed her eyes at him dangerously as she clenched her fist around the steel, it gave way with a crunch as she snatched it away from him and threw it across the room.
"Did you think that would work?" she asked him patronizingly. Jak shook his head slowly as more sweat began to dribble down his face inch by inch. A soft growl erupted from her vocal cords as her hand glided up to his cheek. He flinched away and she pressed the back of her knuckles to his clammy skin and draped them down to stroke him.
Her eyes stared at him calmly and she smiled at him. In truth she was only playing with him, she would kill him soon, very soon. Jak looked at her almost pleadingly, almost as though he knew what was going to happen to him in the next minute.
"It's time" she whispered and Jak shook his head slowly, suddenly he stopped. His face paled as his eyes rolled back in his head and he slumped back in the couch limp. Poison stood straight and looked at the man, she had cracked her hand into the side of his neck breaking it away and severing the nerves to his brain instantly killing him, painlessly.
She had always intended to kill him, he was evil and nothing short of it, a murderer and a thief, petty things but evil nonetheless. He had only been good to keep around as a source for the under workings of the gangs and uprisings of anything like VAS was doing now. His loss, if he hadn't had tried to shoot her he would be alive right now.
She looked around the apartment and began to walk out of it. She was at the door when "THUD". Poison stopped dead in her tracks as she instinctively pressed herself to the frame and peered around the corner. Her hand reached behind her and withdrew her saber from the depths of her jacket, it scraped from its sheathe as she brought it in front of her and held it in her left hand ready to make an attack. "THUD" it sounded again, something was coming and it wasn't human, she wasn't getting anything from her empath powers and her gut was telling her exactly what it would be...a Technocracy.
She took a breath as she heard the thud again at the end of the corridor. She moved her sabers hilt up to take of it in both hands and readied her feet to attack. It was moving closer and closer, the thud resounding over and over louder each time, it was big....too big. She waited patiently as she raised her sword and scanned her eyes down the black blade. Exhaling all the air from her lungs she suddenly took a breath as she turned the corner to face the robot.
It was massive. About 10ft tall in shiny silver amour all over its body, huge arms with slits down them one of the arms raised with various barrels and missiles aiming at her. Its head was a dome with a slit down the middle. She could see microchips flashing through the slit and in the centre of it there was a large red orb, like an eye but she knew it would be a scanner of some kind. Her eyes trailed up and down the cyborg once as she charged at it, her saber wielded in level with her head. She was at its feet, its arm aiming for her to release its barrage of arsenal, but hopefully she would be too quick for it. She jumped just as she reached it and whirled her blade around and screeched it up the side of its armor. She jumped back as she finished her streak and landed about 3 meters from it.
Poison gasped as she looked down where the metal should have been cut through but it wasn't even scratched, it was obvious her sword would be of no help here, and if the damask steel of her blade couldn't put a dent in it then her bullets would be now good. It looked like she was down to her own resources.
The technocracy made an odd beeping sound as its red eye seemed to lie solely on her. A cold metallic voice sounded as its arm raised and locked onto her.
"Target acquired, Poison Shadow" it sounded as the arm began to whir with activity. She narrowed her eyes at the robot and waited. She was crouched down on the floor, her arms and knees bent to support her from falling onto it. She looked like an animal waiting to attack, ready to pounce at any moment, or dodge.
The whirring grew faster then it halted. The robot beeped as the missiles from the arm. They flew into the air with smoke billowing out behind the metal shells. She grinned as she watched the ammunition fire at her; air rippled over them and dropped out the back. She jumped up at the last mini-second and flipped over them, her feet kicking off the top of one of the larger missiles missing the bullets completely. This gave her the slight boost she needed without transforming. Poison sailed through the air and over the head of the machinery. She landed nimbly upon its back and crouched down on it. Her knees bent, one hand holding up her upper body and the other by her side pressed near her hip. She closed her eyes as her lips began to move slowly, her voice murmuring soft words.
Her hand at her hip began to glow with a soft black light. In the palm of her hand a black orb began to grow, it grew to be slightly bigger than a tennis ball then hovered in her hand for a moment. Meanwhile her other hand had been working at wrenching free a plate of the armor. Poison had managed to nudge back a section to reveal a gap about 5 centimeters wide, it would do. She stopped murmuring and opened her eyes as she observed the crack she had made, she stood up slightly higher on the back of the metal hull and was about to fire the orb.
Out of the blue she suddenly felt something snatch around her leg followed by a rough pulling sensation and she was lurched from her perch by a giant metal arm. Fortunately she was focused enough to send the orb to its destination. The black ball flew from her hand as she crashed into the wooden floor. The rotted platforms gave way and she fell through to the other apartment below.
Saw dust and various other things fell over her as she stood groaning and looked up through new hole in the ceiling. She craned her neck to look up to it, as she had fallen through she had not missed the sound of an explosion as her magic orb hit into the crevice of the Technocracy. She padded softly across the floor her eyes searching the gape for anything that might indicate to movement above her.
There was the cracking sound of plaster above her and she looked to it suddenly, the vague outline of a large circle appearing. She dropped and rolled just in time as the boards gave way and the robot crashed through to her level. This was not good. She coughed slightly as she stood and patted down her jacket from the white dust sprinkling about it. There wasn't much more she could do now, it was stronger than she had thought she was lucky she had her own "skill"
Poison raised her right hand to her left and grasped her fingers around the material of her top. The black cotton mix material ripped away easily from her hand revealing it and her upper wrist. A small green gem was seen buried in the skin of her left arm glowing an odd jade color. She grinned at the robot as the green engulfed the outline of her form. The bumps and bruises appearing from her joyride through the floor boards disappeared along with any other scratches or the like on her body. A little gift courtesy of her mother and uncle from before she was even born. Her uncle Angel once upon a time being a thief with the likes of a Lycan named Seraph. The two of them pulling the heist of a green gem that Angel had given to her mother Dream many years before she had fallen pregnant. This stone normally just a trinket when placed in her mother's heart unlocked an incredible healing power. Upon Dreams discovery that she had been blessed with twins the stone formerly in her wrist sank down into her womb to take place in Poisons heart only to be revealed when she was born in her wrist where it has stayed ever since. Only fair considering her brother Ruin had a stone in his heart as well only his was more of a ruby than an emerald, the key to the forbidden magic, something she did not posses.
Her body now healed and the technocracy on her level she had to devise a battle plan. Unfortunately in her environment at the moment this would not be possible. The android was too strong for her to handle alone, it's amour to strong for her sword and repellent of her magic she would have to find another means of taking it down, there was no way in hell she was going to let it kill her.
So she did the only thing she could do in her situation, she ran. Turning as fast as she could before the Technocracy could react she bolted for the window. Jumping just before she reached it and using her arms to shield in front of her face from the glass as she crashed through it. Sailing through the air at a drastic fall Poison turned in her shielded position slipping her hand behind her jacket it wrapped around her silver deagle which she pulled free and cocked. It took her only a moment to aim as she pulled down on the trigger, three bullets catapulted through the air straight for the giant eye of the Technocracy. It moved to raise its arm to shield the delicate instrument with in, obviously possessing a faster hardrive than most robots to actually be able to see the bullets through the air as it only took a second for them to hit it. It wasn't fast enough. One of the bullets hit the direct centre of the eye the other two thudding into its metal arm and falling from it dented. Not that it mattered, one shot had hit true and that was all she needed. The giant red eye fizzled for a second before exploding with a clash of smoke. The robot stumbled backwards it's metallic voice sounding in her keen ears.
"Malfunction, malfunction vision sensory offline, switching to sonar" but she didn't have time to see what it did after that, the ground fast approaching her she turned back to her front and buried her gun in the back of her pants again whipping her jacket down to cover it. Only a few meters from the pavement she twisted her body to aim it for a light pole and flicked her hands up to grasp it in an instant. She swung around once before landing on top of it crouched down like an animal.
She exhaled having held her breath the entire time purely out of instinct and looked up to the shattered window of Jaks' old apartment, the technocracy was gone. She didn't have time to lose. Poison vaulted from the pole and down onto the ground landing nimbly on her feet with only a slight bend of her knees and a moments pause as she ran off into the night.
Once again her world appeared as slow motion, thunder crackled above her in the pitch sky and heavy rain drops began to fall in numbers down onto the dark streets. Her blue eyes depicted her way around easily. Even though she was heading in a different way than she had come light source was minimum. The rain battered down upon her, her jacket and top already soaked and her jeans well on the way. Her hair was sticking together in long wet dreads and drops of water rested on her cheeks. The rain was coming down so heavily now she could hardly see her way through it as she ran on.
Suddenly something wrenched out at her from nowhere wrapping around her upper arm and pulling her aside from the streets and into an alley where no light entered. Most girls would have screamed by now, but not her. Her hand instinctively flung down behind her coat and grasped around her sabers hilt. She pulled it free from the scabbard in an instant the soft scraping sound of her damask steel blade ringing through the silence of the night.
She held her arm out with her sword straight in it pointing out towards her offender. Knowing it wasn't a technocracy, the grip previously on her arm was fleshy not metallic though it did hold a certain chill to it.
"Who are you?" she growled feeling the edge of her blade rest to the perpetrators body. There was no reply for a moment before a soft white light glowed in a small ball form in front of her. She was lost in it for less than a moment before looking back into the darkness, her eyes not being able to see through it for some peculiar reason.
The orb fired out, but not at her. It flew straight past her ear her body turning to avoid it only to realize it was headed for a target behind her. Spinning around completely she almost gasped as the white orb hit into the shell body of the Technocracy hovering not ten meters behind her.
Her sword arm being her left was suddenly seized by a strong grasp and pulled her along behind the owner of the white orb as they flung back into the night. She gripped her sword tightly still not trusting this but letting the person lead her through the endless it seemed alleys she had been dragged into.
Suddenly they stopped and she tugged her arm free and raised her sword up to the figures neck resting it there gently.
"Who are you?" she growled again from the base of her throat angrily. The figure didn't reply just rapped on a wooden object which followed with the opening of a door letting light spill only momentarily into the dark alley to reveal a man stranding in front of her. It was now that Poison gasped and pulled her sword away back into her sheathe behind her back.
The man standing in front of her turned his head to the side and grinned. His lip pulled back to reveal two sharp white fangs. His hair was purple and messy, his eyes green and his attire was of a black leather trench coat hiding his weapons that she knew he possessed and just showing the hint of a grey skull on a black t-shirt as he turned to her. His pants were also black leather as his coat and his feet wore a pair of Timberlands.
"Hey sis" he laughed still wearing his cocky grin as he took her hand again and led her into the doorway quickly.
"Ruin" she said blankly finding it hard to believe what was happening. "Wha?..." she began only to be cut off by a raised hand to which she closed her mouth tightly and didn't say another word. Ruin looked over at her as he led her down a flight of stairs onto a stone walled room. It was dimly lit with only candles for light and she noted the array of weapons lying on a table in the centre of the room along with a chair seated behind a shabby looking desk, the high back chaired turned so only the back was seen.
She looked around a d took in the interior for a moment before noting a slight weight on her shoulder and upon tilting her head to the side she saw Ruins hand resting there. He smiled at her and she smiled back as she turned and melted into his arms. Their forms hugged against one another in a tender embrace. Both their eyes closed and they sighed in tandem before moving away from each other slowly after their physical union was complete.
"How sweet" a rough growl of a voice sounded behind them and Poison turned instantly to see the chair formerly turned away from her gaze now facing her with an all too familiar body seated in it comfortably.
"Nice to see you again love" the man said again. His attire slightly though not too different to the others was comprised of a pair of dark jeans and a simple black leather vest worn open over dark tanned skin. His eyes were dark and deep and his hair a thick chocolate brown.
He stood from the chair and sauntered over to her, upon reaching Poison he moved around her. His arm wrapped across her front just above her hips over her revealed skin while his fingers drummed across the warm flesh and he leaned to her ear and whispered into it hotly.
"Did you miss me?" which followed by a cocky grin. Ruin exhaled and examined his sister in interest to what her reaction would be to this from her former boyfriend, the operative word being former.
Poison stood completely still as the man walked to her and started to touch her visible mid rift. She looked him straight in the eye and saw his grin to which she returned her own before tracing her hand down on top of his and wrenching it away with a sickening crunch resulting in a broken wrist. He shunned back clutching his wrist to his chest still grinning at her though.
"You lost the privelage to touch me a long time ago Mort" she growled at him before moving away and walking out of the room. She had been here many times before, it was their safe house once upon a time. Before Ruin left and she fell out with Mort so she knew the corridors of the stone walled maze like the back of her hand. Poison made her way in a slight rush down the halls, it was obvious that Ruin had brought them all back together for some reason or another and though she could easily leave anytime she wished it wouldn't do her any good. All she could do for now was hang around and see what the pair were up to.
After a brisk trek through the halls she made her way to a room and entered. It was a bedroom. A huge four posted bed in the centre of the room with draping black silk canvas and satin sheets. A vanity could be seen in the corner next to a walk in wardrobe and another door leading to a bathroom. Poison sighed heavily as she stripped off her jacket and threw it over the chair in front of the vanity. Then reaching around she unhitched the sheathe of her saber and reached behind her to pull free her gun then walked to the bed and slid the weapons underneath the frame. Standing up from kneeling on the floor she walked back out on to the floor of her room and pulled off her top which she threw in the same direction as her jacket then she slid off her jeans and left them in a pile on the floor with her boots, black panties and bra.
Completely naked now she padded from her room and into the en-suite and turned on the water for a shower. When it was warm enough she stepped into the stream and closed her eyes letting the water run down her body to swirl at her feet them slide down the drain.
Suddenly her ears twitched at the sound of her door opening. She growled softly starting to find it annoying that so many people or things for that matter wanted to provoke her tonight. She turned off the water and grabbed the closet towel and wrapped it around her slender form. Her hair was dripping down across her bare shoulders in thick dreads and drops were sliding down her face. The towel only came down to her mid thigh and that was only if she pulled it down to reveal half her cleavage, she'd make a note of it to buy some larger towels.
Poison stepped out of the shower cubicle, the room was thick with steam like a sauna, and it seemed to be blowing away from around a certain form just infront of her. Suddenly someone lunged at her, she felt strong hands at her hips pushing her back into the nearest wall and she knew who it was instantly. Stretching her hand out by instinct her fingers grasped at the tanned neck of the culprit holding her firmly yet gingerly in place against the tiled wall of the bathroom.
"What do you want Mort? She growled, her fingers tightening on his neck slightly almost threateningly.
"You know what I want Poison, what I've always wanted but you have never given me" he purred in her ear before tracing his tongue across the skin of the nape of her neck.
"What did I say before about you touching me?" she warned him.
"You think I care" he replied "Nothing has and nothing will ever keep me from you" he said as his hands slid up from her hips to the top of the towel over her breasts and pulled out the slip stuck against her skin to hold it up, letting the towel slink to the wet floor at their feet.
She glared at him and pressed on his neck a bit more moving him off of her naked body "No" she said "Not after what you did" she said angrily and Mort moved away from her slowly his eyes locked on hers.
"I did what I had to do" he said "I didn't know what would happen" he said almost pleadingly "You know I would never do anything to hurt you" he said as he attempted to move closer to her.
"You killed me Mort" she almost screamed, though she could feel his pain dwelling deep inside of him and reaching out to her through her empath powers she didn't care, he had burnt her and these were wounds that did not heal so easily.
"I didn't mean to!" Mort cried as he slammed his fist into the wall near Poisons arm, punching a sizeable hole through the mouldy tiles. She didn't even flinch. Her blue eyes just stared at him blankly as though peering into his soul.
"It doesn't matter" she whispered "what was done is done" she said in a deaf tone. Mort turned his head to the side for a moment and seemed to wince before turning back to her. His hand traced up over her body, running across the smooth skin of her arm to her collar bone and to her chin then across her cheek. His free hand then moved down to the left side of his vest which he pulled open slightly. Over the skin of where his heart would have laid there was an iron cross nailed into his flesh.
Again Poison hardly seemed to react to it, but on the inside she was crying and screaming, her heart was telling her to forgive him and take him back but her mind and her stubbornness would not allow her.
"I gave my heart for you" he roared at her face "I gave everything for you" he said softer now, his neck pulling his face closer to hers to peer deep into her eyes in an attempt to see what was dwelling in them. He saw it.
Flashback
She stood against the old willow tree over looking the crystal clear lake, the full moon reflecting against the rippling surface in an eerie reflection to her cold azure eyes. Poison sighed as she leant back against the tree and slid down it to a sitting position at the waters edge. She hugged her knees to her chest and stared blankly out over the water. Mort had asked her to meet him here. This was their place, the spot they had not only had their first kiss but their first date as well, they were meant for each other, they were perfect for each other. Or so she thought.
Suddenly there was a soft rustle behind her and she stood in an instant, her hand already grasping her deagle. She gazed into the bushes, the night doing nothing to elude her vampire vision. She could see the form clearly and it took her breath away for what happened next.
A figure lunged at her, claws and fangs bared. A flurry of dark fur and even darker eyes and her shoulder was burning, next her leg and as she turned instinctively, her back. She fell down to the floor. At this time she was only 15, two years younger than she was in the present time and not as great a fighter, for her real training began after that night.
She lay there panting in the dirt, crimson blood was poring down over her pale skin in a heavy flow. Her eyes squinted and her vision blurred before she felt a strong grip on the back of her neck pull her to her feet and her back slam into the trunk of the tree. She tried to breath but only blood came to her lungs and she coughed it out spastically onto the ground in red splatters.
The grip now on the front of her neck pulled her away from the tree then slammed her back into it. Her eyes widened and her mouth opened in a scream which caught in her throat. The paw let her go and she slumped down onto the floor in a heap only to feel the claws slicing into her over and over all about her body. Till at last she lay there on the ground in a pool of her own blood billowing around her. She looked up slowly to stare at the werewolf who had made the unprovoked attack on her and groaned as tears sprung to her eyes.
The moon went behind a cloud and the Lycan howled and bellowed to the sky. It began to morph with a sickening crunch of bone and the ripping of flesh and skin, its fur fell to the ground till all that was left was a man standing before her. His chocolate brown hair, dirty and veiling his dark eyes.
"Mort" she whispered and the man turned his attention to her.
"Poison...?" Mort spoke softly as he crumpled to his knees and slowly with shaking hands pulled her into his arms till her head rest on his lap. Tears fell from his eyes and plopped down to her cheeks to mix in with the streams of blood over her torn skin.
"Why?" she sobbed in a breathless mutter as her own tears drizzled down her face.
"I…I couldn't control it" he said as his hand reached out to touch her face only to shun away at the feel of the claw marks that lay there, his claw marks. Poison was silent after that. Her lips didn't move as her eyes closed and she was slowly engulfed in a green light which shortly followed with a thick black mist that surrounded the pair like a smog. When it faded, she was gone. Mort looked at where she had been moments ago and shook his head as his hands raked up to his hair and he pulled on it before screaming out in anger.
"NO!!!!" he yelled as the moon arose from behind the cloud and his cry turned to a howl as the man turned back into his Lycan form.
End of flashback
Poisons grip had loosened on his neck now as their lips came close to brushing but still far enough away that they didn't touch. Only their breath was tickling across each others skin in tantalizing waves. It had always confused her, even after these two years she was still clueless how he could have lost control like that. Mort had been born a Lycan, he could control his powers perfectly yet for some reason he over driven with some form of emotion that clouded his mind and made it impossible for him to focus on not turning. It was then that she knew why. Her powers tuned into his thoughts and feelings in an instant, it was love. He was so madly in love with her it forced him unwittingly to lose his concentration, with the full moon in the sky he lost his focus to keep his body in-tact and not give-in to the pull of the moon.
"I'm sorry" he whispered "all I ever did was love you, I never meant for that to happen" he said to her mouth as he leant in and kissed her gently on the lips. His hand fell down and gripped lightly at the knot of her towel and started to pull it out as he felt Poison start to kiss back for a moment.
Then she stopped, taking hold of her towel again she snapped her head away from Mort and gripped the ends of the material covering pale naked flesh to her chest and pulled her left hand back smacking her fist into Mort's jaw. This caused him to stumble back slightly put off his balance as Poison leant back onto her left foot bringing her right up as she cracked it into his stomach winding him instantly and causing him to literally fly out of her door.
With Mort from her room Poison walked to the door taking hold of the handles and closing it in a slam in his face with her last call
"stay away from me" followed by the soft click of her lock as Mort sat there completely and utterly shocked.
