Summary: (written pre-Winter Solstice AU) Two years later, Aang has mastered the
four elements, now LORD Zuko and his… queen?… have to fight… ZukoSokka,
AangKatara
Iras: I was going to post this chapter earlier, but my ZukoSokka disliking
friend came over so I had to postpone the posting, but it’s here now!
Chapter 1: Before the Fight Thoughts
Lord Zuko sat at his throne, a large gold one with red draped over the arms,
back, and seat for comfort. It was located beside a similar one made of gold,
but draped in blue and green cloth and slightly smaller. Sokka was sitting in it
thinking about the news he had just received.
Moments ago, Uncle (Sokka had began to call him that after they were a member of
the same family) Iroh told them that Aang had learned to firebend and is
mastering it quickly. He and his girlfriend (this didn’t shock Sokka too much)
are heading for the castle, approximated to arrive in three days.
“My sister…” Sokka whispered. Sokka didn’t look to different from how he did two
years ago, he grew an inch or two and was wearing a formal Fire Nation outfit,
but other then that he didn’t change. Zuko grew a bit more aswell and wore the
traditional outfit of the Fire Lord, but he too didn’t change much.
“Sokka, I wouldn’t be upset if you wanted to join the Avatar and your sister.
Well, I would be, but I would understand if you wanted to be with your family
and… possibly soon-to-be family,” Zuko said as he looked comfortingly at his
husband.
“I don’t want to be against you, but I don’t think I could fight my sister if it
were ever necessary for me too. I could live with attacking Aang, it’s just,
she’s my sister, you wouldn’t really get it…” Sokka said and sighed.
“You wouldn’t have to fight her, I know that would be too hard for you to do,
and I don’t expect you to fight Aang unless it is absolutely necessary. I’m sure
the Avatar has followers from the Earth Nation coming with him, you could go in
with the firebenders and fight them…” Zuko began. Sokka let out a brief laugh as
a thought came to him.
“What?” Zuko asked confused, he was upset a moment ago and then he was laughing.
“A while ago in an Earth Nation city, an Earth Warrior named Suki kissed me… she
will most certainly be fighting in the battle,” Sokka said.
“Ah, do hurt her for me will you?”
“Something that has never changed about you Sokka, you have a bigger appetite
then the Fire Nation’s rhinos,”
Iras: For all of you who don’t know the term, Catch-22 is a synonym of Choices,
but normally is in reference to a no-win situation.
Dracken: Review with what you would like to happen of the following: Katara and
Sokka run across eachother on the battlefield, also include if they should fight
or not / Sokka and Zuko fight Aang / Zuko fights Katara / Sokka and Zuko fight
Aang and Katara / Zuko and Aang fight alone, who should win? If Aang wins, does
Zuko die and vice versa? If either dies, do we have Katara and Sokka fight? Who
wins that/ This is going to be the whole war, so does good triumph or does Lord
Zuko and the Fire Nation defeat the Avatar?
