An Everlasting Friendship
"Goodbye?" said Taiya. "You, Endios, must go to find you're own minons. When you find them you will stay there until all the elements are together." "But..," began Endios. "There is no reason for you to go to Earth with the others," assured Oralena, "This is done for your own protection prince." Endios just looked away. "You must leave at sunup. Until then good luck to you all. And Taiya... please forgive my rudeness. I just want to help." The voice grew softer until it was gone. Then silence. There was a loud yawn. It came from Sheba. "Well let's sleep the last few hours before sunup," suggested Sasha, and she and Sheba turned and headed to the giant tree. "So," said Taiya. "So what?" asked Endios. Taiya sighed. "Nothing," and she turned around and walked away. Endios stood there and watched her go. A giant craft reached the Earth. It landed next to a mountain. Two figures got off. One walked onver to a sign. It said Mt. Forestin. "we're here." One of the figures pulled back their dark green hood. It was Madison. She was older and maturer looking. The other figure pulled back their red hood and it was none other then Danon. "Now what do we do my mistress?" he asked. "Follow me," answered Madison. The two walked into the cave. A minute later they were in the same room where Madison got her crystal necklace. The same statue was there. "Now what?" asked Danon, impatiently. "Now," said Madison, holding her crystal necklace, "We summon the 6 warriors." She walked over to the statue. She looked it over carefully. She got to the face and looked at the eyes. The left eye was a pretty emerald green color while the right one was a black color. She pushed the black one. The cave started to shake. Danon held up his hands. A blue force field covered them. THen to the right of the statue, the wall crumbled, revealing another room. The shaking stopped and Danon lowered the force field. Madison walked into the new room. It was dark. A light came from behind her. Danon was carrying a lit torch. "Light up all the torches," commanded Madison. Danon walked around, lighting all the torches. The light revealed 6 statutes in a line against the wall. Each one had its own mark on their foreheads. Madison walked from statue to statue, looking them over. She came back to the one in the middle and walked back. "Arise my minons!" she called. The statues started shaking. Beams of light came from out from them. The one in the middle began crumbling. An arm appeared. A human arm. Then the other, and two legs and feet. Then a head appeared. It was a young girl about the same age or older as Madison. The other statues crumbled and 5 more young girls appeared. They all had long black hair tied up in various styles. The one in the middle spoke up. "Our princess. We have been waiting for you. I'm Janell, the leader of this group that protects the element warrior of nature. My sister and I do as you wish." Madison smiled. "That is just what I wanted to hear. My loyal warriors to do whatever I command. And now for your weapons." She looked at Danon. He stepped forward and pulled out a box. Inside were 6 different bracelets. "These are called weapon bracelets. Each bracelet has a different weapon. Simply put them on and call on its power. A weapon will appear for you to see. It really is simple," explained Danon. Each of the girls grabbed a bracelet and put them on. "Now I will get Taiya. Ha, ha, ha!!" laughed Madison. The full moon shoned brightly in the star filled sky. Taiya was looking at it from her little nest in the giant tree. There was a nice breeze blowing. Sheba was sleeping next to Sasha on the grass below. This place may look like a bloddy desert by day, but it's a paradise at night, thought Taiya. She couldn't sleep. No matter how hard she tried she just couldn't. Maybe its because Endios is leaving, said a voice in her head. No, that can't be why, she told herself. But the more she thought about it, somehow she knew it was. "I better not develop feelings or I'll just get hurt," she said softly, "After all he's supposed to marry some princess and the only royalty I am is vampire." She than noticed a soft snoring. She looked down. It was soming from Sheba. The wolf was snoozing peacefully on Sasha's lap. Sasha was laying against the tree inaffected by the snoring. Then Taiya noticed that Endios was gone. She gasped. "He couldn't have left already." She wanted to get down without waking Sasha or Sheba. "If I call on wind, it'll be too loud." Then a strange yet familiar feeling developed in Taiya. Her body was in control. She stood up and walked to the strongest end of the branch. She looked down. She was scared but her body would not stop. She closed her eyes and jumped. She landed a little bit away from the tree. She made no noise jumpimg or landing. Her body didn't hurt. It was as if it was built for it. Taiya sighed with relief. That sure was strange though, she thought. She was releaved but still didn't see Endios. She walked away from the tree to look for him. Even though it was dark, the moon and stars were so bright, it wasn't hard for her to find her way around. Then ahead she saw a small black thing on the ground. She ran up to it. It was the headband Endios was wearing earlier. "I hope nothing happened to him," she said. Her heart started punding harder. Then she heard a famliar sound. It sounded like the same waterfall she and Endios were at earlier. She ran towards the sound. She came to the stream with the waterfall. But the water was now a crystal blue color. Taiya looked around but still no Endios. She turned to walk away but her feet led her to the water's edge. "Alright, but just a little dip," she told herself. She sat down by the edge and put her feet in. The calm water soothed her. She was calmed and relaxed. "Hey." She turned around and there was Endiod. He had wet hair and drops of water on his body. Taiya looked back at her feet and blushed. "Hey," she said back. Say something, a voice inside her said. She didn't know what to say. He sat down next to her. He also put his feet in the water. "So you're leaving," Taiya finally managed to say. "Yeah," he replied, looking at the sky. The silence was annoying. "Why aren't you talking to me? After all you're leaving and we won't see each other for a while," she blurted out. She gasped. She put her hand over to cover her blushed face. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean..." and she got up. "Wait," said Endios. She stopped but didn't turn around. Endios stood up. "I'm sorry. I don't know what to say. I mean I don't want to leave. I have too much fun around Sheba, Sasha, and especially you," he said. Taiya's eyes widened. She put her hand on her chest. Her heart was beating fast again. "Ever since you came into my life its been great. I know we've haven't know each other that long, and that I'm supposed to marry this princess but....," he stopped. He bent down and picked a flower. Taiya began to walk awat but he grabbed her arm. "I wish I was like this flower." She turned around. He gave the flower to her. It was a white, tulip looking flower, that was closed up. "I could bloom when I wanted. I could decide when and what to do when I want to," he continued. Taiya was looking at the flower. "Nevermind," he said. Instead he took Taiya's hand and put it on top of the flower. Taiya gently touched it. It started moving. She gasped and almost dropped it, but Endios kept it in her hands. "Watch," he said. The top of the flower infolded. A tiny bud stretched out. The tip of it then shone a bright white color. Taiya smiled. She looked at it with amazement. "It's called a moonlily," said Endiso, "It only does this during a full moon." "Wow," said Taiya. "Come here," said Endiso. He took her hand and pulled her to a little cliff. The view was beautiful. There were more moonlilies infolding and glowing. The sight was breathtaking. "It's so beautitful," said Taiya. Endios looked at her. "Yeah," he agreed. She looked at him. Her heart was beating fast again. He pulled her to him. Her face was bright from the moon's rays. It made her hair look silkier and her face more lovelier. He moved a piece of hair from her forhead. "Taiya, I....". She didn't let him finish. She went forward and kissed him. He held her tighter and kissed her back. When the kiss ended they looked at each other. Endios then pulled her to him and she laid her head against his chest. She closed her eyes and listened to the beating of his heart. It was the same as hers. "Endios, why is the water blue?" she asked. Endios chuckled. "At night the water around here always turns blue. This is th eonly beautiful thing about Kentos." "Kentos? I thought we were on Duostara," said Taiya. "No. When you were knocked out, I went to a portal thing and we were transported here." "Kentos. That name sounds so familiar." "It's my father's name," replied Endios. She looked at him. "Your father?" "Yes, the king of Duostara. He's still there at the other palace as we speak. I was sent to the other palace and here to be raised as a proud prince for the planet." "Alone?" Taiya asked. He looked at her. "Yes," he said, "But it's not as bad as it sounds. I mean when I become king I will have to make the right decesions on my own somethimes." Taiya started trembling. "Are you alright?" asked Endios. "Yes, but ever since I learned I was a vampire my body started acting weird," she said. "Like how?" "Like earlier I jumped from the tree and didn't hurt myself. I'm also a little faster and stronger," she explained. "Maybe when your body realized what it was it started awakening to it's true self. Can you fly?" "What?!" "Can you fly. You know." His wings appeared. "No," replied Taiya. "Well before I leave I'll teach you how," he said. Taiya forced a laugh. "Yeah, that's a good one," she said. "No, I'm serious," assured Endios. Taiya's smile faded. "You got to be kidding." Endios only smiled and reached out his hand. She took it and up they went up. "Hey, this isn't helping!" yelled Taiya, hanging from Endios's hand. "Just spread you wings," he said. "But I don't have any," replied Taiya. "Yes, you do. Just concentrate and close your eyes." Taiya closed her syes and she felt something come out from her shoulders, tearinf at her skin. "That's it," said Endios. Taiya opened her wings and looked behind her. To her amazement a pair of white, feathered wings were on her back. "Wow," said Taiya. "Good, now try to fly," said Endios. He let go of her hand. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!" screamed Taiya. She was falling fast. Endios flew next to her. "Flap your wings!" he yelled. Taiya concentrated and her wings began to flap. Nothing. She was almost to the ground. "Stretch them out!" Taiya did and found herself gliding a few inches off the ground. Taiya felt relieved that she didn't hit the ground. Endios glided next to her. "Come on," he said and turned around. Taiya did the same and they flew back to the tree. Endios landed perfectly on a branch. Taiya came crahsing into the branches. Endios's wings vanished. Taiya closed her eyes and hers did as well. Then a bright light caught their eyes. It was the sin coming up. Endios sat down against the tree. "I've never seen a more beautiful sunset," he said. Taiya sat down next to him. "You know, I've always had this dream, that this moon and Duostara will become beautiful again," he said. taiya put her hand on his shoulder. "If you keep that dream, I'm sure it'll come true," she said. He smiled. Then he suddenly fell across her lap. "Endios?" She then noticed that he was fast asleep. Taiya sighed. "I can't believe him." She laid against the tree and fell asleep, looking at the sunrise. She was awakened later by Sheba licking her face. "Sheba!" Taiya said, wiping her face. She rubbed her eyes and stretched. Then she noticed that Endios wasn't there. "Oh, no, I hope he didn't leave," She got up and jumped down. "So you're awake," said Sasha. "Where's Endios?" asked Taiya. "He just left in that direction pointed Sasha. Oh no! thought Taiya. "I'll be right back," she said and ran off. "Wait!" called Sasha. Taiya didn't stop. She kept running. Please still be here, Taiya hoped, I need to say goodbye. Then a figure came into view. It was Endios on a horse. "Endios!!" called Taiya as she ran towards him. Endios stopped and turned around. "Taiya?" "Endios wati!" He got off the horse. She got to him and stopped to catch her breathe. "Were you really going to leave without saying goodbye?" she asked. "I thought it would be easier," he replied. "Here," she said and took off her necklace with a gold cross on it, and gave it to him. "To remember me by." Endios tooked it and put it on. "Thanks," he said and then reached into his pocket, "Here." He handed her a silver bracelet with stars charms on it. "It's so beautiful," said Taiya. "For good luck," he smiled and put it on her wrist. Taiya smiled back. Then stepped forward and hugged him. "Take care of yourself," she said, holding him tightly. "You too," he replied. He then stepped away and got back on nhis horse and galloped away. Taiya stood there and watched him ride off. Before he disappeared he turned around and waved. She waved back. "Come back safety," she prayed. Then he was gone.
