AN: ya! Chapter two!!! Thx sooo much for reviewing even if I don't have many reviews I have a couple and I thank u guys 4 actually caring about what I do^-^!! Well anywayz I'm pretty busy but I'll try to keep updating about every 2-3 days and if ya don't want me to put more chapterz up GET USE TO IT is all I can say. Well on wit da story! ^.~

A Stormy Night

Serge ran trough Lizard Rock being barely able to see because of his azure blue hair matted to his face by the stinging drops of rain. Sena was dangling in his arms since not being able to run. They were both drenched head to toe and the droplets just kept getting harder and faster. Serge splashed down the path with the water already about 2 inches high.

"Don't worry Sena we're almost back in Arni." He stated.

"Who said I was afraid and I know we're close to Arni. I'm not dumb!" Sena replied annoyed that her brother thought she was a little girl who couldn't defend herself.

Everything around them was much darker then usual. The raindrops felt like bullets against their skin. A streak of lightning flashed through the stormy sky illuminating the surroundings around them.

He started climbing up jagged rock that was sticking out of the ground on a hill. Serge did this everyday so it wouldn't be that hard. But this proved to be a much more difficult task with the rocks being slippery, so dark out, having the only thing for light were flashes of lightning and having no hands to support yourself with. A crack of lightning struck close by a startled him and he lost his footing.

Serge and Sena tumbled down the sharp, jagged rocks and with a loud splash then thud Serge fell on the 3 inch flooded ground. Seconds later Sena came falling right on top of him knocking all the breath out of his lungs.

"Are you alright?" Serge asked gasping for breath. He slowly sat up and the drenched form of his sister rolled off him.

"Ya, I'm fine. Couple of cuts here and there but okay. Thanks for breaking my fall Sergie!" She replied.

A bolt of lightning hit a tall piece of coral and Sena screamed an eardrum-shattering scream of shock. Sparks flew everywhere, though it was good rain was pouring or a fire would have started easily. This was also bad because a flood would consume them if they didn't get back to Arni and quick.

The electrocuted 10-ft tall coral started falling to the ground like a tree, heading straight towards them. Serge quickly grabbed Sena and tumbled from where the coral was landing. The coral shattered against the wall of rocks that they had climbed and descended down. Serge not able to see could still feel Sena cling on to him and heard her starting to cry.

A loud roar was heard from behind them and they immediately turned to face the noise. A flash of lightning illuminated the area and there stood a 15-ft tall Komodo dragon standing on its hind legs. This one looked so much bigger and more vicious than all the other Komodo mamas he had ever seen. Serge figured that this most be a male Komodo dragon. He was shocked because in all his life he had never seen one, and just told himself they didn't exist.

"The coral shattering must have woken him up Sena, it's gonna be fine. We'll get home." Serge told her to calm her down. `Dammit, I haven't ever beaten anything this huge before.' He whispered to himself.

::Kid sailing before the storm moves up the coast from Arni.::

The sun's rays shined on Kid and her boat. A cool gentle breeze of wind hit her face, bringing the sweet smell of saltwater to her nose. Her hair delicately swayed with even the weakest breeze. She yawned from exhaustion. She had not slept the whole time it took to get from Zenan to El Nido. She was sweating from the heat and the sun scorching the top of her golden-colored head wasn't any help at all. Everything around her was so peaceful she felt her eyes drifting to sleep.

"I can't fall asleep now, I'm so close to finding Serge. I'll be there in about two hours." She tried to convince herself. Sleep slowly stated consuming her body.

"Well, I guess I can take a really short nap, it won't hurt. ::yawn:: I'm so tired anyways. Don't worry mate, I promised I'd find ya and I'm almost there. Jus wait a lil' longer." She said to herself.

Her accent wasn't as strong and she thought things through a little more since joining bodies with Schala. She still had her fiery attitude and persistence still, which was something that couldn't be changed.

Far out of her eyesight, the storm was quickly making its way toward her and her small boat.

The Komodo dragon charged at the two. Serge quickly tossed Sena a Dreamer's Sash he saved up for and ordered her to the top of the hill to cast her strongest red elements on it. She limped off and Serge sliced the dragon across the face with his Sea Swallow. The dragon looked more annoyed than hurt by this.

It was good Serge definitely had the speed advantage over the dragon.

Serge tripped on a piece of jagged coral leaving him defenseless as the dragon loomed over him. The dragon lunged forward and used one of its blade-like claws to leave a large gash in his arm. Serge clenched it in pain as his blood mixed with the rain. From the top of a rock Sena saw Serge on the ground awaiting the dragon's finishing blow. She cast a MagmaBurst on the dragon making it growl in pain because of its weakness to fire.

Serge took this advantage and used his Tech Skill, Slice and Dice. He started running toward the dragon with inhuman speed. Serge jumped up and used his swallow to sever off its right arm. The dragon roared in rage and cast an Iceberg element on Serge. He saw huge chunks of ice fly at him and he dodged all that came at him. The last one was about 6 feet away from hitting him. Serge saw this couldn't be dodged and used his Swallow to shatter it to pieces. The shards of ice fell on him and hit him like mini bullets that left small but deep scratches all over Serge.

`How did that monster learn such a powerful attack like that?!' was all that raced through his mind.

Caught off-guard the dragon used its remaining claw and slashed him deeply across the chest. He winced in pain as his clothes matting to it making it sting even more.

"Damn this is a powerful creature…" He whispered between his gasps of breath. Suddenly he felt a strong surge of energy race through his body. "What the…?" he whispered.

He closed his eyes and slowly floated up in the air and started glowing a faint shade of white. The white light around him grew brighter and brighter. It grew so bright the whole area looked like day and the rain looked like crystals falling to the earth. Sena watched in awe at how beautiful the shower of rain-crystals looked. Serge suddenly opened his eyes and Sena was shocked to see his eyes glow an eerie bright white. She wasn't scared though, just surprised. A circle of the bright white formed around his hands. When it was quite large he hurled it at the dragon. The dragon was too confused about what was happening to dodge the attack, not that it even stood a chance.

He floated down beside Sena and the white glowing around them stopped. It was pitch black again with rain stinging their exhausted bodies. Serge scooped her up in his arms and starting running back to Arni. Sena put her head against his chest and started listening to his rapid heartbeat and slowly sleep consumed her tired and battered body.

Back in Arni Serge raced through the village and up the steps to his house. The winds had started blowing much more rapidly than in Lizard Rock. He slowly opened the door to see his mother crying by the fireplace. She immediately turned to face the creaky door and happiness and shock consumed her face. Marge ran over and looked over Serge and Sena's cuts, checking if they were alright.

"Here mom, Sena fell asleep on the way home. Why don't you get her dried off and dressed while I change also? We just got a little lost and we're hungry. Can you fix us dinner?" Serge said very calmly, knowing if he sounded frightened or startled, she gets very worried. He handed the sleeping and drenched form of Sena. He was trying very hard not to let her look him in the face, but when he came in it was obvious she did.

"Se-Serge…your e-eyes…" she stuttered. She just kept staring at him with total shock plastered on her face.

"Uh forget dinner, I'll eat in the morning. I'm so tired so I'm going to bed." He said quickly changing the topic then running upstairs. `What's wrong with me? Everyone says I've changed since I collapsed that day on Opassa. Why have my eyes started glowing every night since then? I don't get it…'

Marge just stood there with complete shock on her face as the drenched little girl stirred in her arms.

"You won't ever get to him, but if you do somehow reach him, I suggest you protect him well because nothing is going to stand within me and the Chrono Cross!" the voice growled.

Something clicked in Kid's head. She knew that heartless voice anywhere. "Lynx?! Yer still alive?! Why do you need the Chrono Cross?! It was destroyed when Serge and me freed Schala!" Kid shouted.

"You thought you and that Chrono Trigger destroyed FATE? You can never destroy FATE. The Chrono Cross isn't destroyed either, I can feel it's presence around the Chrono Trigger. I know he has it. You better protect him very well, but it won't matter anyways because I WILL obtain the Chrono Cross's powers!!" he yelled.

"If the Chrono Cross isn't destroyed, he doesn't have it!" She yelled, but inside she knew it was more of a plead.

"But you better wake up or you'll have no chance of saving your boyfriend. Heh. There is no such thing as love in this world. Love is just an emotion you feel. Strength is worth so much more! The weak will DIE!" he growled, his voice echoing through the dark, empty room.

Kid felt drenched and then she felt a stinging pain all over her body. She slowly opened her eyes and saw nothing but rain. She jumped up to her feet but slipped and fell on her side. She figured that was now in the middle of a raging storm. A small, cold wave washed over the side and washed her to the opposite side of the boat. The wind blew violently across the water and she heard a rip. Her main sail shredded right in two and half of it blew into the waves of the sea.

She saw the biggest wave she had ever seen in her life, it must have been at least 50ft tall and it was already breaking at the top She stood there with fear running up and down her shivering body. The small boat was pulled toward the wave until it stood nearly vertical. She hung on to the mast so hard her fingers started to bleed and shut her eyes tightly waiting for the wave. `I tried my best Serge.'

It seemed like time stopped as the wave came crashing down. It was so painful she barely felt anything. Any air that was left in her lungs were squeezed out as the force of the wave sent her far below the surface of the water.

About a minute later she surfaced and found a broken log. She noticed that this use to be the mast of her small boat. She tied her bag around it so she wouldn't slip off. She slid into unconsciousness with all thoughts on one thing: failure. The rain and waves showed no mercy to her unconscious body.

Serge's eyes flew open in fear when he saw an image of the girl he has seen in his previous dreams washed up on a shore, lifeless.

`Who is that girl? …I guess I'll take a walk by the beach tomorrow just to check it out. She seems so much more than just a dream…'

AN: A cliffhanger!! O NO! Is Kid going to live?! Other than that didja like it?! Plz review and tell me what u think!! Tell me if you like it or tell me if I'm just wasting my time, I don't care!! Jus plz R+R! Well I like it so far and I' not use to all this typing and my hands seriously hurt! I understand what u authors mean now!O.o I'll keep adding more chapterz and I found out I love writing fanfics! ::this is my first fanfic, and everyone has to start somewhere right?::^.~
