The next day, I sat in my study hall class in boredom. While I stared at Karina, I wrote her a little note:

Dear Karina,

Yo! So did you say yes? Oh yea you did because Lisle told me. Hehe. I forgot ^_^; So what are you gonna wear? I'm gonna wear my orange and yellow tank top with those cool blue jeans you like. Hey, maybe you could get a guy for me? I got one for you! LOL j/k. Well if you can tell me! TTYL, enjoy Lisle;)

I folded the paper and passed it to Karina. She smiled at me and read it. She turned to me and said, "Sure, I'll get you a date. Who do you want?"

"I don't care, as long as they're cute." I winked at her.

"How about Shane?" She pointed over to the tall blonde in the first seat of the first row. He was bent down working on paper cranes for this 1,000 paper crane thing.

"He's kind of cute," I started, "But what about Christina? Won't she be after him?"

"True, true. Hey I know this guy from the catholic school who's cute. I'll ask him."

"You'll see him before Saturday?"

"Yeah, I'm going to his autumn play tonight, I'll ask him then. Have a picture?"

"I should." I dug through my binder, trying to find a decent picture of me. I had a ton, but they all looked ugly. "Ah ha! Here's a good one." I pulled out the picture of me in my spring prom dress. "Here."

She took it and looked at it. "Nice, I'll show it to him tonight." She stuffed it into her binder. "Thanks."

"Are you two done chattering?" The study hall teacher stood, scrutinizing us from her enormous height. We both nodded. "Good, now get back to work or it's detention for both of you." She walked back to her desk and continued to write that apology note to her husband for cheating on him.

I lowered my head, staring at my hands. No wonder no one liked me, I always bit my nails, and they looked ugly.

She stood on top of that hill in that silk dress. Her hair swayed in the breeze. She looked like an angel up there, with the sun shining on her in that way.

A young normal looking girl walked passed the hill and saw the woman. She thought the woman was beautiful, so she started to climb the hill. The woman looked at the girl and smiled thoughtfully. She held out her hand to help the girl.

The girl tried to grab her hand, but the woman seemed to be getting higher and higher; the hill was getting steeper and steeper. The girl reached harder and harder. Just when the girl reached the woman's hand, a man came up behind the woman and told her to come with him. The woman let go of the girl's hand. She fell off the hill and into the sky. She started to fly past the clouds and into the horizon. She flew until you couldn't see her anymore.
