Fan Fiction ❯ Days of the Week ❯ Friday ( Chapter 5 )
Friday. Last day of school for the week. This was going to be a long day.

Since it was Friday, we were allowed to talk during Study Hall. I just sat at my desk, staring out the window, looking at nothing. I had to find out who was threatening Karina and Lisle before tomorrow night. I had to find out fast, but time was not on my side.
"Amy? Amy!"
I snapped back to reality. I looked up to see Karina…poor soul.
"Were you listening to us?"
I shook my head.
"Ok then. Well, Laura, Christina, and I were deciding what to wear for the dance. Have you decided?"
"Didn't I already tell you? My orange and yellow tank top with those blue jeans you like!" I yelled. "Geez, Did you even read my note!?"
Karina backed away. "Sorry, Amy, I just, I just forgot, I guess. Besides, you didn't tell these guys. Maybe they wanted to know. Ever thought of that!?"
I sighed. "I'm sorry I yelled, Karina. I'm just stressed out right now." I looked up at Christina and Laura. "Who are you guys going with?"
"I'm going with Ethan," Laura replied. "Duh."
"I'm trying to go with Shane," Christina said, "but he doesn't seem to want to go with me, which stinks, because then I will have no one to go with! Who are you going with?"
I turned to Karina. "Did you ask him?"
Karina nodded. "He'd love to go with you, but he can't. He has to go to a mass that night at his school."
I sighed again. "Religious kids."

That afternoon, I went to Lisa's because she wanted to show me what she was wearing to the dance. I sat on her bed as she pulled out the items of clothing.
"I was thinking I could wear this top…." She showed me a tank top with swirls all over it, "….and this skirt." She pulled out a red knee-high skirt. "You know, like, I'll still look fancy, but I can move around in it. What do you think?"
"It brings out your eyes," I teased, "as Danny would say." Lisa went to hit me as I leaned back, sticking out my tongue. I hit her with a pillow as we started to have a huge pillow fight. She farted, which spread all over the room. I practically suffocated.
After an hour of toots and feathers, Lisa stood up, saying, "I'm going to make some popcorn, I'll be right back." She rushed out the room and downstairs. I started to clean up the feathers from the pillows. I placed them in a neat pile. When I was finished, Lisa was standing at the door, her face pale.
"What is it?" I stood up, pulling a feather off me. She held out a brick with a note attached to it.
"Read…."
I took the note and read the following:
HELLO!? YOU GOT KARINA IN THERE!? BECAUSE IF YOU DO, I WANT YOU TO GET HER OUT HERE NOW SO I CAN DEAL WITH HER. SHE SAID SHE WAS A CLOSE FRIEND OF YOURS, AMY. I REMEMBER OVERHEARING YOU TWO TALKING. IF SHE ISN'T IN THERE, YOU BETTER COME OUT AND TELL ME WHERE SHE IS NOW, OR YOU'LL BE THE VICTIM.
ANONOMYUS
My eyes were wide. I rushed downstairs.
"Where are you going!?" Lisa yelled.
"I'm going to deal with this loser!" I yelled back. I rushed out the front door, Lisa following.
We studied our surroundings. There was no one outside. Not even any cars. There was no sound either, only the sound the noisy dog next door.
Lisa and I were so freaked out, we rushed back inside, and stayed upstairs until Lisa's mom came home, which wasn't until 6:30. I was supposed to leave an hour before.
