PART 2/THE UNFORESEEN DEMON:
Tina lay on her bed in the 5 star hotel she was staying at in Japan.
Three weeks had passed since that day. Reality sunk in. She had killed a young boy. She was a cold-blooded murderer. Tina's mind was in shambles, so much was going round. It felt as if her head would split apart. That day she had rung her boss at the World Wrestling Company and told them she was taking two months leave. She risked her career with that decision, but she really didn't care-It's not as if they were going to fire the most popular female eye candy wrestler in the series….
She needed to see Kasumi again, see how she was holding up. She had rung the hospital up one week ago with plans to see the schoolgirl then, but for some reason she never got around to it. She decided today would be the day.
She got up and looked at her watch… 5:48 AM. "Hmmm, another sleepless night" she mumbled. Tina walked over to the bar fridge and pulled out a bottle of imported beer, she unscrewed the top and took a slug. Closing the fridge door, she walked over to the closet and pulled out a pair of cargo's and a loose fitting shirt.
6:30 AM, she pulled the room door shut and hung the "please clean this room" sign on the doorknob. She made her way to the lobby, surprisingly there were quite a number of people sitting around. As she approached the hotel entrance, a young man opened the door for her. "Thank you", she smiled at him. He nodded back.
She knew the address off by heart…. It had been one of the many things constantly spinning around in her head over the past few days. Luckily for her, the hospital was only a few blocks down from the Hotel. The streets were already filling up with soul-less faces. Businessmen. *Clones* she thought. All wearing the same black suits. Black like their hearts. She brushed past a few waiting at the bus stop, they didn't even look up from their daily newspapers. Tina pressed the button at the lights, on the other side of the road was the hospital. While she waited she pulled out a scrunched piece of paper from her pocket.. "Room 470, floor 5" it had scrawled on it. She smiled, she would she Kasumi again.
Upon entering the hospital she scanned for the elevators, "aha" she said as the found them. "5" she clicked the floor button, and waited. -It arrived, and the doors flew open. The cleaner was the only person in there, she smiled at Tina as she entered. Tina smiled back.
She was surprised to see a built in coffee machine in the elevator.. *Those crazy Japanese* she thought. She grinned. *Bing* the doors opened, and Tina walked out.
"okkkaayy" she mumbled.. "Room 470". She walked along the endless corridor, her footsteps echoed as she read the door numbers. It had that smell that only hospital's contain, a cleaning smell Some things never change.
She came to a Holt, she had reached an intersection. "Aw, jeez" she said. No signs were posted anywhere on what rooms are where. "Uh excuse me?" She called out to one of the cleaners, an old man. "Yes, can I help you?" He said in a gentle voice- "Uh, could you please direct me to room er, 470?". The old man paused for a second… "Room 470 you just turn right here and right again"-"Thank you sir" She smiled and headed off to the right..
On what seemed an endless walk, she finally fond it. Room 470. She peered through the window with excitement, and was happy to see that Kasumi had the entire room to herself. Kasumi was lying on a bed, with her arm supported up in a sling. She seemed to be asleep. Tina slowly turned the doorknob when all of a sudden the door flung open. Tina nearly crapped her pants on the spot, a young girl was coming out at the same time. She had a shocked look as well. Tina quickly eyed the girl, looked around the same age as Kasumi, purple hair and what looked like red eyes in this light. "Who are you and what were you doing in Kasumi's room?" Tina demanded. The girl closed the door… "My name is Ayane… And I'm Kasumi's sister" Tina reared back in shock. *Kasumi's sister?*
"Sister? You don't look anything like Kasumi!" Ayane grinned "Actually, We're worlds apart".
"Hmm" Ayane scanned Tina. "By the looks of you.. I take it you are Tina Armstrong?" -"How do you k…*"
…"Kasumi's told me all about you.." Ayane cut in. Tina stepped back, still not trusting her. "How is Kasumi, anyway?" Tina mumbled. Ayane paused "Fine…. Considering you beat the living shit out of her, and tried to kill her by tripping her down a flight of stairs…".
Tina looked stunned… "What?! I didn't trip her down the stairs, It was a boy! Didn't she tell you??!" Tina was hurt. "Yes.. She told me that stupid story. About how a little kid threatened you both and then for no reason tripped Kasumi, but you and me both know that's bullshit. She's protecting you Tina… She loves you, you know….." Ayane looked down.
*Kasumi LOVES me??* Tina thought.. Her head once again started spinning. She went silent. "Ayane.. You have to believe me.. I didn't trip Kasumi. We had our battle, and we were interrupted by a young boy.." "Interrupted while doing WHAT Tina? Interrupted while doing what??" Ayane cut in. *Shit* Tina thought… "Er, talking. We were talking"- "That's a lie Tina. You took advantage of Kasumi, I can see it in your eyes, your soul.." Suddenly Tina was afraid of this girl. How did she know this? Surely Kasumi didn't tell her… Why would she do that? Tina was sweating.
"I can never forgive you Tina. What you did was wrong.". Tina was truly pissed off at this dark girl. "How is it wrong Ayane. Is it wrong for someone to love someone?" Tina blurted out. "Is it wrong, if you love someone Ayane?".
Ayane looked up "It's wrong if you make decisions for them".. -"It was her choice girl" Tina said. "What.. What about you, Ayane.. Have you never loved someone? Surely you know what the feelings like??". Ayane's eye's flashed a horrible burning red in the light, "Love does not exist in my life, It serves no purpose". She said in a now different darker voice. "You love no one?" Tina asked… "Well why the hell are you so worried about you sister Ayane?" -"I'm simply protecting her from people like you…. Wrestling stars that take on a beginner in the Dead or Alive championships. Twenty One year old Canadian girls that think they can have their way with sixteen year old Japanese schoolgirls"….. Ayane produced a twisted grin.
Something clicked in Tina's mind. Kasumi couldn't have told Ayane of this…. She wouldn't do that. Then she realized something, she had never told Kasumi how old she was… How the hell did this girl know that? -"Tell me something Ayane… How is it that you know how old I am… My age isn't even revealed on the wrestling show…." She looked at Ayane with confused and scared eyes. Ayane smirked, "I don't think you'd understand. I can read people's souls. They reveal everything in my eyes. I know your history Tina. I know everything by reaching into your soul….. I even know your fate… Not that you believe me or anything… common human..". Her eye's flashed an eerie red again.
Tina was amazed…. This girl was insane, but she didn't know whether to believe this freak…
No… It's all bull.. she thought.
"Your fucking mental kid" She mumbled. Ayane smiled. "See Common human brain..".
-"You better watch yourself Ayane Now if you don't mind, I'm going to see Kasumi"..
Ayane stepped in front of her "See her for what Tina? Please your sexual fantasies again?" She mumbled in a strange voice. *What the fuck?* Tina stepped back again, and looked to the floor. She took a deep breath. She looked up again at this young girl, "Okay Ayane.. So maybe you can see into my soul… Then, look again Surely you can see what happened on that day… I wasn't responsible for Kasumi falling down the stairs" Ayane paused. "Okay Tina. I do know what happened Reaching into my sister's soul and mind.. I saw the boy. I just wanted to blame you." She grinned. "But… That still doesn't excuse you from this. If you weren't there, the boy wouldn't have appeared… I know it's not your fault.. But I will never forgive you for what you did…. Never".
Tina went silent, thinking. "Oh shut the fuck up you sick freak…. Kasumi had the choice.. She took it.. You can't put this on me. What power do you have to make up Kasumi's mind huh? Now if you don't mind I'm going to see her…" She pushed past Ayane and turned the handle.. Ayane slammed the door shut again. Tina was at breaking point with this girl, she felt like slapping her. "You can see her… If you win a simple battle with me".. "You wanna battle me Ayane? Why? All I want to do is see her face again.. Surely that's not worth a battle is it?" Tina went white, glaring into Ayane's eyes she saw pain, suffering, torture… Death. Ayane smiled… Her eye's burned like fire.. The white's of her eye's filled with red. Tina stepped back.. "Wha.. W-. What are you?" She yelled.
"Battle me Tina…. I urge to kill" Tina was very scared of this girl, Something out of a horror movie.. She felt like running. *No…* I've never run from a battle…
Alright Ayane.. We'll battle. "Let's go then" Tina whispered out. "We can't battle here though" Ayane nodded… "Yes.. Not near the innocents". "Hold onto my hands Tina" Ayane asked. Tina was confused but for some reason she did what she said. She approached. "No! Tina! Tina!" What? Tina looked around, she peered through the room window, It was Kasumi! "Tina! Don't battle! You'll die! Please Tina don't!" Ayane spun around and held out her right hand in the general direction of Kasumi, and focused on it. Tina, still looking at Kasumi noticed a terrible pained look on her face, and she fell back down onto her bed. "Damn, she… She's still trying to protect you Tina.. It's sad" Ayane frowned.
"What the hell…. Did you do to her?" Tina questioned. "Don't worry, I didn't hurt her… Simply put her to sleep again"… "What?" Tina was so afraid.. For the first time in her life, she was truly scared.
Run… That was in her mind… Too late. Ayane had grasped her hands and a terrible flash of lightning had struck her, but not physically.
