Chapter 3: Drel's Decision

No matter how fast Zinx, Kita, Vaki, and Ralo run, the Calinore seems to be homing in on them. Zinx looks back to see the demon itself, 4 stories tall and with the eyes of the Devil itself, the snake-tailed tiger causes the people of Freezoa to run toward a shelter that was made in case the Calinore was released. An unlucky man fall victim to the Calinore as the beast scoops the man with his gigantic claw and with the fang that surpass any carnivore, the Calinore bites down on the man. The bloody massacre terrifies Zinx but for some reason, he realizes that he can't run and let innocent people end up like the man. Zinx takes out his sword and stops running.

"Zinx, what the hell are you doing!" Vaki shouts with terror as he sees Zinx in battle position.

"I'm not letting this village fall to this THING, I won't run and let innocent people become appetizers!" Zinx growls as the Calinore looks down at him. "Come on, you bastard, lets see if you really are as dangerous as the Devil!"

The Calinore roars and swipes his claw at Zinx. Zinx ducks just in time to avoid being killed. The Calinore winds up another claw swipe until a hammer slams into the Calinore's head, it was Luther. Zinx turns and sees his lost ally Drel.

"Drel!" Zinx shouts out happily, but Drel glares at him as he quickly retrieves Luther and avoids the Calinore enough to jump up and slam it in the back, breaking the spine.

Drel lands as the Calinore falls dead. Zinx looks surprised at the speed and power that Drel suddenly had. He wasn't that fast or strong before.

"Drel, how did you…that was amazing!" Vaki said, excited but confused.

"None of your business…" Drel said in a dark voice.

"Something's wrong with him, Zinx." Ralo tells Zinx.

"What do you mean?" Zinx looks confused.

"Look at him, look how he hold Luther, he looks like he wants to fight us." Ralo growls.

"Zinx!" Drel yells out.

"What?" Zinx looks frightened at Ralo's words but more at the tone of Drel's voice.

"Give me the Elemonts NOW!" Drel orders, sticking out his hand.

"What do you want with the Elemonts?" Vaki growls, stepping in front of Zinx.

"You let some bitch take my place!" Drel roars. "Your little girlfriend, ever since you met her, you let her steal my position!"

Kita gasps as Zinx puts an arm in front of Kita as if to shield her.

"Drel, Kita didn't take your place." Zinx tried to explain.

"I saw you and her; she joined the team and now, give me the damn Elemonts!" Drel roars with anger.

"Answer to Vaki first, why do you need them?" Zinx prepares his sword.

"To take revenge on you 4 dicks! I have joined Taloko. In the blizzard, before Kita saved you, you left without me, you went on and never looked back for me. I was nearly dead. I lied in the snow, awaiting death, until I saw a hand helped me to my feet, it was Taloko. He took me to his palace and with a dark matter window, I watched as Kita slowly took my position so Taloko sent me to kill you and steal the Elemonts, in return, he'd resurrect my father." Drel explained "Now, Zinx, give me the Elemonts, I don't want to kill you."

"No…" Zinx says as he shouts "Vaki, Ralo, prepare yourself, Kita, find yourself a weapon! We can't let Drel give these Elemonts to Taloko!"

Zinx charges at Drel who leaps into the air and smashes an arrow, fired by Vaki. Then, Ralo appears behind Drel who slams him in the gut with Luther and then lands and tried to smash Zinx. Zinx avoids the impact and slashes at Drel. Drel looks behind him at Zinx and then, he is in pain. His shoulder was slashed with amazing speed. Drel roars with rage and throws Luther who hits Zinx, sending him into a cottage which falls. Drel then recovers Luther and tosses Luther at Vaki, who ducked as the hammer disconnected his arrow pack which falls to the snow. Zinx lie there in the debris as he tries to get up but he can't, due to weakness. Drel recovers Luther and walks up to the nearly beaten Zinx.

"I told you that I didn't want to kill you…but you leave me no choice, good bye Zinx!" Drel roars as he raised Luther until a purplish mist surrounds Drel.

The mist seems to pick up Drel and then, blast him back. Drel flies into another cottage as he looks and sees Kita with a glowing amulet in her hand.

"You sorry witch, you'll pay for that!" Drel yells as he charged but is blasted back to the ruined cottage once more by Kita.

Drel climbs to his feet and glares at Kita.

"This isn't over, Zinx, you haven't seen the last of me! When we meet again, I'll kill you and your girlfriend!" Drel threatened with anger as a dark cloud of matter surrounds him and soon, Drel is gone.

"Until we meet again Drel, we are no longer friends, for now on, I will look at you as an enemy." Zinx looks at the sky with a glare.

Ralo and Vaki appear unharmed, Vaki has retrieves his arrow pack.

"So, now, what? Drel is our enemy now." Vaki looks at Zinx.

"He attacked us like we were his enemies, so if Drel serves Taloko, he is indeed an enemy." Ralo explains.

Zinx looks at Vaki and Ralo then Kita then at the Elemonts of Spark, Frost, and Peaks "Drel will keep fighting until we're all dead and he has the Elemonts, until then, let's not be cocky. The battle for Tyli has just begun……."
