A tall slender young woman with wavy medium length brown hair was cleaning a table when she felt someone's hands grab her waist. She spins around to see who it is and lets out a relieved sigh.

“Dan…” said Angelina in a warning tone, “You know we're not supposed to be “together” while on shift here at the bar…” she couldn't help but smile at his little pout.

A tall young man with blonde hair and brown roots molded into a fohawk let out a small sigh, “But maybe I don't want to wait until break…” Dan smiled and leaned in to kiss Angelina when she held him back and gave him a nervous glance.

Dan spun around and let go of Angelina to face a short round older man, who just so happened to be their boss. “What have I told you two about showing affection while on the job?” said Garry.

“I'm sorry,” said Dan, who gulped which Angelina thought was odd because Dan usually wasn't intimidated. It was odd how Garry got tended to have that affect on Dan.

A small smile appeared on Garry's face and he patted Dan on the back, “It's ok, just don't let me catch you two doing that again… Or else…” Garry straightened his jacket and left when he saw a man at a table wave at him.

Angelina let out a small sigh when Garry left them alone, “You could have gotten us fired!” she said in a half whisper.

Dan smiled, “I'm sorry! I just can't help myself…” he glanced to make sure that Garry wasn't looking and he gave Angelina a small kiss.

“Dan… come on, we have work to do. Sides, it's only two hours then we're off for the night,” said Angelina.

Dan raises his eyebrows and shrugged, “Fine. Have it your way…”

“Well, look, there's some pretty girls, go work your charm and get em to buy drinks ya bartender!” said Angelina with a small laugh.

Dan raised his eyebrows and turned around. His raised an arm to acknowledge that he had heard her, but other than that, he pretended not to and did as Angelina said.

Angelina sat down at one of the booths and let her head tilt sideways so that it laid against one of the booth's cushioning. She let out a big yawn and stretched. “Well, I'm ready to go home… Too bad I still have to do some stuff when we get there…”

“Yeah, like what?” Dan asked as he helped Angelina up and helped her put her coat on.

“Well, I need to take a shower for one thing…” she said.

Dan grinned “What, just to smell nice for me?” he asked in a teasing voice.

Angelina rolled her eyes, “No, cause I don't want to wake up earlier than necessary tomorrow night.”

“Aww, and I thought I was special,” said Dan, “Com'mon, it's 4am, and the sun's going to rise in an hour… Traffic shouldn't be too bad so we can probably get home in fifteen minutes.”

Angelina always thought it was odd how Dan had to be home before sunset, but she never really questioned it. The two met about three years ago from a mutual friend of theirs named Chris. Dan asked Angelina out and the two have been going out ever since. They have now lived together since college and have been going out for about five years.

The car ride home was silent, mainly because Angelina had fallen asleep just a few minutes after Dan put in “Good Mourning” by Alkaline Trio, even though it was one of her favorite albums.

“Man, she must really be exhausted…” Dan thought to himself. When they pulled up to their apartment, Dan carefully unbuckled Angelina's seatbelt and was about to pick her up when she jerked awake.

“Hmmm… er… nah?” she asked, slowly blinking her eyes and Dan laughed slightly. Angelina glared, “You shouldn't have let me fall asleep! No it will be hard for me to sleep after my shower…”

Dan shrugged, “Well, I guess that means more time for the two of us.”

Angelina shook her head, “Whatever…” She grabbed her purse and got out of the car, then stretched her legs real fast. When Dan moved to wrap his arm around her waist, she started running.

“Hey! What's the big deal???” Dan asked, walking fast. He couldn't run otherwise he'd have beaten Angelina easily. He still hadn't told her his secret and wasn't sure when the right time would be. “Angel!” he shouted and by the time he caught up to her, she was in the bathroom and had shut the door on him.

“Angel…” Angelina thought to herself, “I hate it when he calls me that…” Everyone thought it was fine to give her the nickname Angel, but she hated it. So far, Dan had been the only person she let use the nickname, mainly because he kept calling her that name and she knew she'd never win the argument since he won the majority of their fights.

Dan knocked on the bathroom door, “What's the big idea?!” he shouted.

Angelina grinned on the other side of the door, “I'm taking a shower, I told you already.”

“What, without me?” Dan asked sarcastically outside the bathroom.

Angelina rolled her eyes and started the water, she almost started undressing when she heard Dan again.

“Remember, I have a key to the bathroom!!” he said with a mischievous grin.

Angelina's mouth dropped open, “You wouldn't…..” she said with laughter tweaking at her voice. Even though she couldn't see him, Angelina could tell he probably had a smug smile on his face.

“Maybe I will,” said Dan, then he quickly went to their bedroom and found the key in one of their dresser drawers.

The water was getting warm, and Angelina wasn't sure she still wanted to take the shower if Dan was going to walk in on her. “Pervert…” she thought to herself. “Well, at least I still have my underwear and bra on…” Angelina put her back against the door and listened for the doorknob to begin jiggling. Sure enough, after just a few seconds, she heard it and she locked it again.

“Damn it…” Dan thought to himself, “She knows me too well…” he let out a sigh. “Fine, you win, I give up.”

“What if I don't believe you?” asked Angelina who couldn't help the grin that was appearing at the corners of her mouth. So, Dan was coming on a bit, she could handle it. He was that way sometimes, because, well, he was a grown man, so Angelina couldn't blame it on him, plus never forced anything on her. He always seemed to come across as charming, and Angelina couldn't help but fall for it, especially because of their history together.

“Well, then, I'm hurt,” said Dan with a fake pout in his voice, “Sides, I never got my kiss after break!”

Angelina shook her head and chuckled, “Fine, I'll open the door to give you a quick kiss, but I really need to take my shower!” She took a deep breath and let out a small sigh before opening the door to see Dan grinning.

Dan stepped into the bathroom and wrapped his arms around Angelina's waist. He kissed her on the lips before moving the kisses down her neck. Angelina shuddered slightly when his teeth grazed her skin, which always seemed to make her tremble.
