Perrin placed several items out on the counter; eggs, bacon, chives, olives, and cheese. I looked at him questiningly as he went through the refridgerator.

"You know, there is perfectly good cerial and milk around here..." I said a little to sharply. Perrin looked over at me questioningly.

"Would you rather have cold cerial, instead of letting me cook you a fine omlet?" I sighed and shook my head. "Good, then prepair to be amazed with my cooking skils."

I laughed and watched him go through the cupboards looking for a pan. I let him look and find one himself, just happy to watch him move around. He seemed so comfortable in his skin. I wondered if I would ever be so graceful.

"So, why exactly are you here in my house cooking me breckfeast and amusing my little pain until I was awake?" Perrin looked over at me and smiled slightly. He continued taking out various ingredents and things to cook with.

"I felt like I should, so I did. Jaclyn, where do you hide your cooking oil?" I laughed and showed him where it was. He found the knives and started chopping things and mixing things, then he grated the cheese and flipped the stove on.

Pip ran into the kitchen and slid as his socks hit the tile floor. When Pip regained his ballence, he smiled at me. Pip looked over at Perrin and seemed to be intranced with watching him as he mixed the ingredents, cracked the eggs and began to cook them. I watched Pip as he idolized Perrin and wondered if maybe he needed a more masculin influence in his live since dad was alwayse gone at work.

Pip shook his head and looked over at me. "I just remembered Jaclyn, you'r not supposed to have boys over when the parents arn't home. Your ganna be in so much trouble when i tell Mommy!" I rolled my eyes and sighed. Perrin looked at me conserned.

"Are you really going to get in trouble on my account Jaclyn? " Perrin looked so conflicted and guilty. Pip giggled and ran out of the room. I looked down at what Perrin was cooking and tried to not laugh as it smoked and burnt.

"No, he dosen't get that the rules changed a few weeks ago when I turned eighteen." I smilled and nodded down towards the pan. "Um, I'm not a cooking expert, but you may want to flip that..." Perrin looked down and said a few choice words. He looked around and realized he had forgoten to find our spatula. I showed him where it was and he tried to peel the burnt food from the pan. When the burnt omlit didn't come off, he gave up, flipped off the stove, and ran it under hot water.

"Well, so much for inpressing you with my cooking skills, want to go out to eat?" Perrin smiled over his shoulder at me as he washed up his mess. I looked at the doorway and saw Pip watching, trying not to be seen. Pip pulled his head back behind the wall when he saw me glance over.

"I have an idea, how about we go to brunch, and we let a certin little brother pick where we go if he promaces not to tell Mommy that I had a boy over?" Pip darted out from his hiding place and nodded vigorusly. I smiled and glanced over at Perrin. Perrin had finnished washing up his mess and smiled at me.

"Ok then Jorden, where would you like to go?" Pip smiled and stuck his tounge out at me. Pip looked throughaly smug as he thought over the choice at hand.

"Pizza!" he exclamed. I sighed, I should have thought of that, Pip's favorite food in the whole wide world was pizza, if he had it his way, he would eat pizza as his only meal.

"Ok, Pizza it is Jorden. I know of a nice pizza place across town that has all sorts of tubes and arcade games and things to play on, if you want to go there." Perrin checked his watch. "It opens in about half an hour, so if you go get dressed, we can head over there, and we should get there just as it's opining, and you can have the whole place to yourself for a little bit." Pip's eyes went wide and he darted off and stompped up the stairs to his room. "They also have burgers, hotdogs, popcorn, and there is a nice little Ittalian resraunt next door if you want to go over there, just the two of us. Don't worry about Pip, there are many people there to watch him and make sure he's safe, and he will know we are right next door." I smiled at Perrin's ingenious idea.

Perrin dried the dishes and put them away. He pulled his car keys out of his pocket just as Pip came bounding down the steps.

"Ok, ok, lets go!" We all got into Perrin's shiny black car. I hadn't noticed the night before just how expensive looking everything in and outside of the car was. I wondered how Perrin could posably afford such things, and wondered about what his parents must do, for surly a ninteen year old couldn't afford such things.
