Akina sighed as she let the warm water of the hot spring soothe her tensed muscles. On the other side of the huge boulder, in another hot spring was Ryuu, he relaxed for the first time since he met Akina. They both had a towel like cloth beside them, Akina smiled as the sun shined brightly in the bright blue sky. Suddenly she she felt something slither by her feet and shrieked. Ryuu grabbed the cloth and quickly jumped on top of the boulder and looked down at the naked girl. Akina looked up and saw his cloth fall off his hips, and screamed, Ryuu lost his balance and fell in the water with Akina, they both closed their eyes as he hit the water. When Akina opened her bright green eyes, Ryuu's yellow eyes were staring right back at her, their lips were locked together and he had a hand on her hip and the other on her breast. Akina's eyes widened as she and Ryuu blushed, she pushed him away and screamed and grabbed her cloth and wrapped it around herself. Ryuu was spred out in the water still blushing and looking at her.

" PERVERTED JERK!" she screamed.

" What! You were the one who screamed and I thought something happened!" he yelled back.

Akina heard a huge branch crack close by, she looked around but didn't see anything, she slowly moved back in the water with Ryuu, who was now standing with his cloth tightly wrapped around his waist. He grabbed her arm and pulled her close to him as large demons surrounded them, she closed her eyes as a large demonic drooling mouth full of sharp teeth came down on them.

Ryuu's eyes shot wide open with fear, his body was covered with sweat, he looked beside him on his left, to see Akina sleeping. He put a hand on his forehead as he panted, it only had been a dream, he looked over at her again and smiled. It had been over six months already and they were still searching for the entity. He grabbed some twigs and threw them into the fire and sighed, Akina twitched and slowly opened her eyes. She stretched, sat up and looked over at him, their eyes met for a short moment, and then they both looked away.

" You're up early," she said with a yawn.

" You can go back to sleep if you want," he said looking at the flames.

Akina shook her head and moved to sit beside him, she was cold and she had to warm up. Ryuu looked at her and blushed, lately he had been more protective of her, and that was because he had slowly fallen in love with her. Only she didn't seem to have the same feelings, so he had decided to keep it to himself, even if he yearned for her touch, her kiss and embrace. He sighed and Akina looked at him, curiosity filled her eyes, when they suddenly heard music fill the air. They looked at each other and Ryuu smiled.

" Come lets go check it out, usualy there's a festival at this time of the year," he said handing a hand out for Akina.

Akina laughed and grabbed his hand and her bag, they walked throught the forest until they saw a village with people dancing and laughing in the streets. Akina looked at everything and smiled, she grabbed Ryuu and pulled him in the village, everyone looked at them, since their clothes were ripped. An old lady came up to them and smiled.

" Excuse me dears, where are you from?" the woman asked.

" We just came from the woods, we heard the wonderful music and thought we should rest a few days," Akina answered smiling.

" Then come with me, you can't participate in the festival with those ripped clothes," the woman said gently.

Akina looked at Ryuu and grabbed his arm, they followed the old woman up to the biggest house in the village. A younger man was standing at the door and smiled at the old woman.

" There you are mother, who are these people," he said looking at Akina and Ryuu.

" Be nice son, they need new clothes and place to stay for a few days," the woman told her son.

Akina smiled at the young man and her returned her smile, and he glared at Ryuu when Akina grabbed his arm. The old lady showed Akina her room and then showed Ryuu his room, she returned with fresh new clothes for the two, one outfit for the festival and the other for when they left. They thanked the woman and asked if they could take a bath, she brought in tubs in each of the rooms and the couple took their bath. Akina came out of her room with a beautiful Kimono, it was a dark red, with beautiful dark blue and golden designs on it. She put her hair up and a little makeup, when Ryuu saw her he was dazzled. Akina blushed, she loved his outfit, pretty much the same as his old one, a martial arts type, only it was a dark shade of blue with gold designs on it.

" You look gorgeous miss," the woman's son told Akina.

" Thank you," she said with a smile, and returned her gaze on Ryuu.

Ryuu held out his arm for Akina to take before they headed out in the streets, she smiled and grabbed his arm and held it tight. The man glared at the two as the walked out the door, the girl was beautiful, but that man was in the way for him to do anything. Akina looked at everything, she was amazed at how this festival was no different then what it was in her time.

Night came so fast, fireworks were being prepared, at the center of the town people were dancing and laughing. Akina begged Ryuu to go dance, he sighed and agreed, she smiled and jumped in his arms, causing him to blush a deep red. He smiled and hugged her back, he felt overjoyed at that moment. `<I>She looks like an angel.</I>' he thought. Akina laughed as she showed Ryuu how to dance, he really wasn't good at it, he sighed and followed each step she showed him. By the end of the night she was too tired to even walk, so he picked her up in his arms and walked back to the old woman's home.

He placed her on the bed and she fell asleep instantly, he slowly closed the door to the room and moved to the one he had been assigned to. He slowly closed his eyes and quickly fell asleep, he didn't even notice a shadow lurking in the room. The door to the suddenly opened and the shadow hid itself in the darkest area of the room, Akina walked in and moved towards Ryuu's bed and climbed in with him. The shadow obsevered and noticed that Akina was actually sleep walking, he cursed under his breath and watched Ryuu place his arms protectively around Akina unconciously. The lurking man cursed and quickly left the room, closing the door behind him, he would deal with Ryuu on the next day, right now it was imposible to do anything without hurting Akina.

Ryuu yawned as the first rays of the sun touched his face, looked beside him and saw Akina sleeping close to him. She slowly opened her eyes and shriek, Ryuu quickly moved away from her, not realizing he was already on the edge of the bed, and fell off. Akina slowly moved closer to where Ryuu had fallen and looked down at him as she laughed.
