Mitsukai woke up just before dawn, finding himself still in the same chair as the previous day. He took his sunglasses off and rubbed the sleep from his eyes.

`I really need to make it all the way to at least the couch next time,' he thought as he cracked the kinks out of his neck.

After a quick shower, some stretches and exercises, sword and archery practice, and another, longer shower, Mitsukai finally left his house for the day.

Several hours and a few cappuccinos later, Mitsukai started to walk faster down the street. He saw Kyuuban turn the corner behind him, and didn't feel like being harassed by the half-wit today.

He looked back to see Kyuuban turn into a small shop just as he turned the corner, running right into someone before he had a chance to look where he was going.

"I'm so sorry, sir. I wasn't watching where I was going and," the small girl he ran into began to ramble, but quickly shut up when he stretched his hand out to help her stand.

She gladly accepted the kind gesture and smiled brightly at him when she was standing. She brushed off her skirt and picked up her books, watching Mitsukai stand stock-still the entire time.

She looked up at him again, saying, "Oh, my name is Amy Yuri."

Mitsukai curtly nodded once, and then made his way passed her, cringing inwardly when she followed.

"That was kind of rude, you know," she said as she caught up to him.

He glanced at her out of the corner of his right eye, but said nothing.

"Fine, then, what's your name, sir," she asked, her annoyance quite evident in her voice.

Mitsukai stayed silent for a moment longer before answering, "I am Mitsukai Hotogoroshi."

He looked expectantly at her, but she just nodded and said, "It's very nice to meet you, Mr. Hotogoroshi."

`I was beginning to think he was a mute…'

Looking back in front of him and away from Amy, Mitsukai pondered on her reaction to his name. `Usually someone asks why someone would name her child something like that…' He snorted in amusement and gave a small smirk at the thought, which was quickly replaced by his normal, bored expression.

They continued on in silence for a moment. Mitsukai nodded suddenly.

"Mitsukai will do just fine."

Amy looked up at him, surprised. She hadn't expected him to say anything.

"W-what," she asked stupidly. He had caught her off guard with the phrase.

"Mitsukai will do just fine," he repeated.

As he spoke he heard some whispers from - in his view - his stalkers. He looked over at them and listened closer. "Did you hear that?!", "His name's Mitsukai!", "His voice is so dreamy.", and "Who's that girl with him?" were some of the most common things he was hearing.

Amy looked around him and at the girls he was watching. She recognized some of them from the hallways at her school, but most of them were strangers to her.

"Do you know them," she asked suddenly.

Mitsukai looked at her, and then chuckled, earning a few more adoring phrases from the gang of stalker-girls behind them. "No," he said, amusement laced throughout his voice. "They show up everyday, watching me as I walk down the sidewalks. I'm beginning to wonder if I should file for a restraining order."

Amy giggled at that comment and said, "That might not be a bad idea." She looked back at the girls that were starting to follow them. "But as long as they don't commit any crimes, I don't think you would get it."

Mitsukai nodded. "I agree." He paused, thinking. "Where are you going? You weren't walking this direction when we ran into each other."

"I'm headed home, but that way," she pointed behind them, "was a short cut. If it's alright with you, I'd like to go the long way. You're a very nice person to talk to. That is, if I can get you talking."

Mitsukai gave a small laugh, but otherwise didn't make a sound.

The rest of the trip was silent except a few jokes here and there about the eagle-eyed spies that were following them.

Amy went her own way, just as Mitsukai turned onto his own street.

"So, will I see you tomorrow," she asked before they split up.

Mitsukai thought a moment. He was sure there was something about this girl that had to do with his own goals in this city. He nodded, "Yes, you may stop by any time, and if you aren't busy tomorrow, would you like to join me for a cup of coffee at the café downtown?"

Amy's eyes seemed to light up suddenly. "I would love that! Oh," she said realizing something, "but I have classes tomorrow. They don't end until three o'clock. Would three-thirty be alright?"

Mitsukai nodded, but said nothing.

"Alright, tomorrow at three-thirty in the Coffee Shop."

They walked away from each other, Mitsukai intent on washing the thought of the stalkers out of his mind with a shower and Amy's head feeling light from just planning an actual "not-date".

Wow, that was boring. I hope I can get this story line rolling soon, or I'll have to kill it….twice. Anyways, hoped you enjoyed reading. If not, then just shove off, jerk!
