Banter: *sighs*

Ok I just noticed a mistake I made, the summary says Kathryn is 15 and last chp I said she just turned 17. To clear any confusion, no two years have NOT passed during the fic. When I first started writing this, I had a 15 yr old in mind, but then it somehow changed so I made her 17 and mistakenly put her as 15 in the summary. So I hope no one got to confused. So here's the next chappy enjoy!! ^_^

When I stopped crying I looked up at my savior, I didn't try to run, or back away. I

smiled a sad smile, "Thank you for saving me......Raven."

I sat on the wide railing of the bridge facing Raven who was on the other side of the bridge. I still don't trust Raven after what he did, so he stood on the opposite side. “So what did you want to tell me?” I asked. “I just wanted to talk. After our first meeting you avoided me!” he said casually. My eyes narrowed, “You raped me why would I want to see you?” I asked. “Now Kathryn don't be so harsh, I mean after Crag broke it off with you-“, “Wait how did you now that?” I asked. He sighed, “Personally I knew about it before it happened.” He sighed again, “I overheard Crag talking about it to a friend. He sounded happy.” He pulled something out of his pocket and began walking towards me.

 

I quickly got up into a crouching position, “Raven, no closer than half-way you promised.” I said edging closer to the edge. Raven sighed, “I know my dear, I just wanted to give you something that got recorded, for you it could be in a way depressing.” He said laying the recorder in the middle of the bridge. I slowly got off the railing as Raven walked back over to the railing and turned around; I kept my eyes on him not quite trusting him. When I grabbed the recorder, I made my way back to my side of the bridge I took a shaky breath and pressed the play button trying to expect anything. There was nothing at first then Raven's voice was heard, I listened as he took notes on things, then I heard what I dreaded:

 

“-so need…what's this? It's my lovely's boyfriend! Let's see what he has to say.” Raven said as shuffling was heard then Crags voice came over. “I don't know what to do; Kathryn is always all over me like…ugly on an ape. (a/n: sorry I couldn't think of anything else! ^_^U) What should I do I mean I proposed to her last night and gave her my freakin class ring!” he said, “Just simply tell her your not in love with her like you thought and you want your ring back.” A guy said. “Yeah well easier said than done Jason, she's in love with me and already planning our wedding!” Crag said sighing. “Hey its ok baby just tell her you don't love her like that, and you were really tired and not in you right mind when you gave her the ring.” Jason said, “Now come here and I'll make you forget all about that oh what's a word?” he asked. “How bout slut she sure is one, I mean why would I love someone who was taken by someone else? I guess I felt sorry for her or something.” He said. He sighed and giggled, “Jason that tickles!” he said laughing. “I know, now how bought we go to my place were we can really make some noise?”, “I lov-“

 

I pressed the stop button not wanting to hear more. Tears ran down my face, “How the hell did you get this?” I asked, Raven looked thoughtful, “I was in a tree sitting on a branch while I was taking the notes Crag and his boyfriend came and just happened to sit under the one I was in! I'm rather sorry you had to hear that but I felt that you had a right to know, I was just hoping to get that to you before Crag actually did anything! I'm actually very sorry!” Raven said concern showing in his eyes. “I-I gotta think about this, I gotta go!” I set the recorder down and began walking off in the direction of Crag's house to get my stuff. “Hey Kathryn? If you ummm ya know need a place to stay you know where to find me right?” Raven's hesitant voice reached my ears, I turned and stared into the eyes I once hated only to see love, concern, sympathy and many others running through his eyes. I found myself nodding, “Yes, and thanks I guess. Bye Raven” I said before turning and began walking again.

 

-Raven's POV-

 

I watched as she walked off the bridge and smirked when she was out of sight. “Your still not convinced yet are you my angel of the night. Well if all goes well you'll be at my place within the week and I shall welcome you with open arms!” I walked over and grabbed the recorder, I pulled out a walkie-talkie, “Sara is our guest at the blondes yet?” I asked, “Yes he is and is taking his sweet time.” She replied. I smiled, “Good, now whenever Kathryn leaves go get him and remember you're his girlfriend so act as if you love him!” I said. I looked into the sky, “now to get home.” I stalked off in the same direction but turned left instead of right.

 

Kathryn's POV-

 

“Ok do I walk in like I always do or do I knock? What to do, wh- Mr. Shaman how are you?” I said as the door opened. “Ummm hello Kathryn what are you doing standing outside?” Mr. Shaman asked, “I just got here I was fixing to go in, ummm are you leaving?” I asked trying to sound natural, “Yes I am well I got to go bye Kathryn.” He said walking past me. I sighed `well at least I'm in' I thought, I walked in and shut the door. Mrs. Shaman stuck her head out from the kitchen and smiled, “Kathryn your home! Well it's a free for all for dinner so just grab whatever you want!” she said.

 

I nodded and smiled, “Thanks but I'm not that hungry had an early dinner.” I lied, “I was just coming back to get my stuff.” I said. “Kathryn dear what are you talking about? Is something wrong?” she asked. I shook my head, “No my friend invited me to live with her in her apartment, it has two bedrooms and it's really big and we always planned on living together when we got older.” I lied again, “Oh I see, well I'm not your mother I really can't stop you from doing this.” She said smiling, I know it was forced having done it practically my whole life. “Well I'll just go get packed then.” I said then ran up the stairs.

 

I ran into Crag, literally, and caught myself before I fell over the railing. There was an uncomfortable silence, “Hey Crag…who's your friend?” a boy asked coming out of Crag's room. We both turned and a boy with brown hair pulled back into a ponytail at the crook of his neck with dazzling blue eyes, stood in the door-way. “Yeah Jason, this is Kathryn, Kathryn this is Jason he's in town doing business for his father who wants to buy the bar my dad owns.” He said smiling slightly, `Yeah I bet he is' I thought, “Nice to meet you, well I was just getting my stuff. It was ummm nice to meet you Jason.” I said forcing a smile. I walked by Crag into the guest bedroom quickly packing my stuff. I threw the shirts Crag loaned me when I forgot my pj's and tossed them into the laundry hamper. “Oh man where is that shirt? Don't tell me I lost it, that was my fav-oh yeah it's in Crag's room….great.” I said getting up, off the floor and headed across the hall, I knocked on the closed door and waited. “Come in.” Jason's voice came through the wood and I sneered but quickly replaced it with a smile.

 

“Hey sorry to barge in but I can't find my shirt have yo-yes I found you!” I said grabbing it and smiling triumphantly, the two boys stared at me, “It's my favorite shirt I didn't want to leave it!” I said and left humming a song I heard.

 

Jason's POV-

 

“Ummm Crag is that girl alright?” I asked, “Yeah just ummm….a little to much caffeine that's all.” He said frowning slightly.

 

Kathryn's POV-

 

`Damn suitcase close already!' I mentally screamed, I smiled as I got the duffel bag zipper closed. `Now to get out of here.' I thought. I walked down the stairs wanting to get out before someone stopped me. “Kathryn you trying to leave without saying good-bye?” a motherly voice said from the kitchen, I sighed `ok don't cry you can get through this' I set my bags down and walked into the kitchen. Mrs. Shaman immediately enveloped me into a hug. I hugged back, when she let go she wiped her eyes, “Oh look at me blubbering like a school girl on her first day. Here I know you already ate but I wanted to make sure you ate tomorrow.” She said handing me a brown bag, “Thanks…for everything.” I said hugging her again, I shut my eyes to keep the tears from coming, “All of you were like the family I never had. I don't think I could've made without you.” I said. Mrs. Shaman held me at arms length, “Kathryn our door will always be open to you no matter what always remember that.” She said. “I will bye.” I said going to the door Mrs. Shaman had disappeared somewhere. I picked up my bag opened the door and sighed, “Bye Crag I-I'll still love you no matter what!” I said walking out and shutting the door to the house that I called home.

 

Crag's POV-

 

I walked down the steps, sure Kathryn made me mad, but I still wanted to say good-bye to her. I was half way down the stairs when she came out of the kitchen, I pushed back the urge to jump the rest of the way down, run over to her scoop her up and kiss her like there was no tomorrow. I sighed quietly `I can't do that she'd hate me even more.' I made it the bottom floor silently and opened my mouth to say something but stopped when Kathryn spoke. “Bye Crag I-I'll still love you no matter what!” she said and she left. I stood there rooted to my spot. `She still loves me? Did she know I was there? No she…she didn't I know her and she didn't notice me! Damn, what is going on? First, she said she was using me, now just now she said she still loves me!' I thought you still love her right? A voice said, `Well yeah I still do with all my heart.' Then by what you just heard, did you ever think that this could've been set up? The voice continued. `Well no but…' listen you two still love each other just check out the ring she gave ya! I sighed `damn now I'm talking to myself' I thought.

 

Bing-Bong I snapped out of my thoughts and went to answer the door. “Hi…can I help you?” I asked. The girl standing outside giggled, “I'm Sam, I'm here to pick up my boyfriend.” She said. “Oh yeah come in I'll get him.” I barley made it to the stairs as Jason came flying down, “Hey baby `bout time you got here!” he said. “Yeah well come on we're meeting your folks for dinner. Well thanks for watching him bye!” she said and dragged the man out the door. `I need a drink.' I thought.

 

Kevin's POV-

 

“I believe that would be check and mate.” I said laughing, “Yeah, yeah lets go grab something to eat I'm starved.” Sara said. “Awww is wittle Sammy hungwy?” I cooed. Sara glared at me, “Call me Sammy again and I'll kick your ass all the way to Shanghai `Jason' you got me?” she sneered, I sighed, “Fine lets go but your paying.” I said, before Sara could complain I ran off to a café down the street.

 

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;

DF7: *insert evil laughter here* I love cliffhangers. And the last paragraph if you couldn't tell was from Romeo and Juliet which is owned by William Shakespeare. I don't know why I put that in there, but it just seemed to pop into my mind every time I wrote a different ending. *shrugs*
