Felix awoke to the sound of clanging dishes. Mia must be up, he thought, thinking nothing of it. She gets up every morning very early to make breakfast for him and her children. He glanced over at the clock. Midnight. Strange. She never wakes up this early. He decided to check out the noise.

Felix crept down stairs, Sol Blade in hand, searching the dark rooms for anyone suspicious. He had just reached the living room when he saw a dark figure stand up. Involuntarily, Felix rose up his blade and hit the intruder with the blunt end of the sword. Injured but not seriously, the intruder fled out the open door, his obvious point of entry. Felix did not trail him. He only continued the scan of the house. Soon, he found the source of the noise. Mia had gotten up for some reason and had tripped in the kitchen.

The next morning, Mia went out early for some shopping. As she left the house she saw Issac covering his head with an ice pack. She approached him and asked what happened. He told her he got up the previous night for a drink and hit his head. He smiled, said he'd be fine and asked `if he knew'. Mia simply shook her head and went to the store. Satisfied, Issac went back home.

The next night, Mia took extra caution sneaking out of the house. She had made some plans for that night, and she needed to get out without waking Felix up, which wasn't hard considering Felix's sleep habits. She easily snuck out of her house and into Issac's. Meanwhile, another figure was sneaking out of Issac's house and into Felix's.

Mia managed to slip through the dark rooms of Issac's new home. It, along with the rest of Vale, was destroyed two years ago by Alex's power-hungry ways. Mia found Issac sitting on the bed rubbing his eyes. Mia smiled and entered. A few words were exchanged, but eventually Issac found himself on his back, on the bed, Mia on top of him.

Felix awaited the sound of the door opening, as he did every night. Right on time, the door opened, and shut. He saw a shadowed figure cross the room and enter the bedroom. Several words were exchanged, but soon, Felix found himself looking into a set of piercing, deep purple eyes.

The next morning, the two couples pretended that nothing happened. Mia took her daughter, Menardi out shopping, while Issac took his younger son, Ivan out for his daily training. Felix and Feihzi were left alone. Feihzi crept into Felix's house. The door was unlocked. She found Felix asleep on the couch, as she always did. She poked him in the sides. He looked at her and smiled.

Mia had sent her daughter back early to get Felix. But it wasn't long before the small girl, only three or four, came running back, tears streaming down her face. Mia asked the girl what was wrong. Menardi, being too young to truly understand what was really happening, simply said that some lady was attacking her daddy. Mia rushed home. Felix was a fighter, so this foe, whoever it was, must be strong to thwart him. She flung the door open to see Felix having sex with her best friend's wife. Tears welled in her blue eyes. Felix tried to stop her. She turned around and bolted out the house.

Mia ran to the sanctum, tears staining her perfect complexion. She threw herself onto the floor and cried her lungs out. Soon, she found herself kneeling in a puddle of her own tears. Her own, bitterly cold, piercing tears. Soon after that, the sanctum door opened again. Go away! She barked to the floor. The figure advanced. GO AWAY! She barked again, sharper. A warm hand fell on her shoulder. The same way Felix used to. When she thought he loved her. She stood and threw the hand off. She turned around to see Sheba's concerned face. The young Jupiter adept asked Mia what was wrong. Mia shrugged the question off. Sheba replied that it's hard to believe that when she watched Mia charge in. Mia sat down and explained the whole thing. Sheba understood. She too had been cheated on. Mia then stood and left for the only person she cared about anymore.

Felix searched all of Vale for Mia. It was a simple mis understanding. He would say. She came on him. Is that the best he had? An idiot could make that excuse. Ivan made that excuse. No, he could think of a better one.

He wondered if maybe Issac knew where she was. If there's one person he knew she'd go to, it's him. He was about to knock on the door when he heard screams coming from inside. Instinctively her burst in.

What Felix found was exactly what his wife had. His best friend screwing his wife. And in the process, screwing him, too. Now, he knew the whole problem. And the whole solution. Without a second thought, Felix drew his sword and advanced. Issac must have seen him approach, but couldn't react fast enough. Felix stabbed Issac through the heart. But he did not die right off. He had enough time to reach for his own sword and stab Felix.

They both died together.

The next day, the rain poured down in sheets, soaking the ground. Two new headstones stood in the cemetery, along with two new epitaphs. And they read:

"Died from a broken heart."

Mia stood over both graves, holding a bouquet of flowers. She had loved them both, but only really cared for one. A single tear fell from her eye, landing on the ground between the two graves. Sheba approached, putting her hands on Mia's shoulders, remembering Ivan, and the wrong he had dealt her. Both women sighed the same two words:

"Love Bites."
