Fan Fiction ❯ Imaginary Whispers ❯ To look on the bright side, If there was one ( Chapter 17 )
Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Heart's....yeah....^^ how sad.
Authors Notes: Well, since all of you didn't want Sky pregnant, I didn't make her pregnant, but don't worry, something will happen. Oh and since there was only one reviewer who wanted Sky pregnant, I'm sorry to 'Shiroi Hikari' but I didn't do it because the other reviewers didn't want her pregnant.....well most of them didn't from what I've read and besides that's cruel....even though I've done some other cruel things in this fic ^^ but oh well. Ok, since I don't want to bore myself with writing this new chappie, I've made it three days later ^^ just to tell you. And since Sky's not pregnant, here's where you'll find out what is going on with her. Enjoy! ^^

The girl laid on the floor, clutching her stomach as she paid attention to no one. "Come on Sky, you have to eat something" Riku stood there, looking down at her, a worried expression on his face. The two were in her room, or rather Sky was lying on the floor and Riku was standing at the door way.
"What's the point, I'm just gonna throw it up again..." came her groggy reply, it was true, anything she ate, came back out, so it was like she hadn't eaten in the first place.
"Look, your not pregnant and I know that, and if your not that, then what are you?" Riku question, wondering if she still had her sarcasm, though it didn't matter, but if she didn't, what the hell was wrong with her?
"Sick..." Sky replied, turning over on her side. He walked into her room and sat next to her. She did look a little weak, and she was sweating, but what got him was that she was struggling to breath.
Her wounds had healed completely with the help of Sora, Aerith, and Merlin's magic, which they had done right after they got back home. But just yesterday, she had started refusing food and water from anyone, until Riku had to force it into her. He often came to check up on her when she was supposed to be asleep, but she hardly ever got any sleep now, she was always awake. He checked her forehead, she didn't have a fever, so what was it?
"Can you walk?" Riku asked, concerned. "Yes, I just can't get up..." so he got up and help her.
She wasn't lying, she could walk, so he didn't bother helping her, and he knew she didn't want any help.
They reached the kitchen, where everyone was at, they all had they're backs turned, as they didn't think Sky would actually be convinced to eat something after two days.
*What the hell is wrong with me?...*
That was her last thought as her world went dark. Everyone turned around when they heard a soft thud behind them.
"Sky" they cried, hurrying over to her collapsed body. Riku picked her up, took off a glove and placed a hand on her forehead.
"She's burning up. We have to get her medical attention" Riku said, picking her unconscious form in his arms. "Is she going to be ok?" asked Kairi. They weren't friends, but she could still worry, couldn't she.
"I don't know. We have to get her a doctor" he replied. (A/N: Lets just pretend they have a doctor in Traverse town, ok peoples.)
~ ~ ~
Everyone stayed in the hallway. They had called a doctor, and they lead her to Sky's room, where she laid. Once there, she showed them out of the room and they had stayed in the hallway since then. After a few moments, the doctor emerged from the room.
"How is she?" Riku asked. The doctor sighed. "She is completely exhausted, both mentally and physically. It seem's to be some type of illness or disease...." she hesitated, but continued, "Has she...been in any sexual contact in the last few days?" everyone, including the doctor blushed at this question, everyone but Riku, because he never told them what had happened.
(A/N: O.O Am I stupid/foolish/crazy or is it just me?)
He sighed, but decided to say it anyway. "She was raped..." he whispered, knowing everyone heard him. The doctor and all the girls gasped and Sora, Leon and Cloud couldn't believe what they heard, in fact, none of them could, but it was true.
"Oh my...well, she's not pregnant, I can tell you that" The doctor replied.
"It was hard even before we found this out...and now it's going to be alot harder..." Sora whispered.
"Well, I gave her something for her fever but her body didn't seem to respond to it. I suggest a week of bed rest so that she can recuperate properly." The doctor said.
"A week!?" Sora and Yuffie said in unision. (A/N: To me, these two act like brother and sister sometimes ^^)
"Yes, until the fever breaks down, all you can do is take turns tending to her and making sure she eats and gets the rest she needs." she said, about to leave.
"She might not have much of appetite for awhile, but she needs to get nourishment somehow" She finished, heading out the door.
Since Sky was unconscious, she was able to finally get to sleep. They all took care of her. However, despite their vigorous effects, Sky's condition seem to worsen. She slept constantly, and she wouldn't eat anything they brought her whenever she was awake enough to do so. And the most frightening thing was, no matter how much fever medicine they gave her, it didn't seem to make a difference.
Riku sat by her bedside almost everyday, watching her in worry, though, he's never shown it. He watched as cold sweat ran down her forehead, her cold hands clutching the blankets.
He watched as slowly, her silver eyes opened. She blinked twice, taking in all her surroundings. A weak smile came on her face upon seeing him, but it quickly disappeared as she winced.
"Exactly, how long have I been asleep for?" she asked in a weak voice, though he had heard her.
"Only about two days, your fever came down, but you still wont heal completely if you don't eat something. Your going to have to eat alot to repay for all the nutrition you lost, and If you don't, you wont make it through this" he quietly responded, taking her hand in his and giving it a squeeze.
"I'm not dead yet you know" Sky choked out. "You will be if you don't do something about it" Riku replied, getting up.
"Where are you going?" Sky asked, curiosity in her innocent silver eyes. "To go get you some soup and if you cant eat it on your own, I'll just have to feed it to you, now wont I?" Riku asked, not looking back as he went down stairs.
He came back with a tray in his hands. He put the tray, which contained the bowl of soup, a spoon, and a glass of water, on her night stand and sat back down on her bed. He then placed her on his lap, and waited to see if she was able to eat it herself. She just sat there in his lap, looking at it as if it were poisoned or something, "I'm not hungry Riku" she whispered, like a child who refused to eat there food.
He sighed.
"Sky you haven't eaten anything in three days, the doctor said that if you don't start eating you'll eventually be to weak to do anything. So if you don't eat this, you won't be able to get any better. Just do this for me ok, thats all I'm asking of you" he replied just as soft.
She also sighed, knowing she couldn't win, he was right, he had never asked her for anything, and it was for a good cause, he wanted her to stay healthy, and for him, she'd do what he asked of her.
"Ok, ok, you win" she said, her hand reaching for the spoon. He smiled and kissed her on the cheek.
Slowly, she started eating it, and knowing that he wanted her to eat all of it, she didn't stop until it was all gone. Dropping the spoon in the bowl, she turned to him and said, "There, all done, now can I get out of bed?" she asked, quickly getting annoyed with having to do everything.
"Yeah, but eventually, you'll get tired and fall back asleep anyway" he said, taking the tray, not caring if she hadn't drunk the glass of water, and leaving to go back to the kitchen.
Slowly climbing off her bed she went to change into something more comfortable. The clothes she was wearing now, which consisted of a long black shirt and jean pants made her sweat easily. Deciding on black sweatpants and a white shirt she brushed her hair which was sticking to her face from all the body heat she had for her pervious fever. The black sweatpants, made it easier for her to move, and the white shirt which she had never worn until now, let her arms move more freely.
She didn't care what she looked like right now, she was sick, and wasn't supposed to go outside anyways, and if anyone made fun of her now, she would just threaten them, it usually scared them off.
Walking down the steps, she wondered what Aerith would have thought, seeing her in these clothes, the one who though she should have dressed 'nicer'. Seeing Sky in a white shirt instead of black was a first, and the same went for the sweatpants, but whatever made her feel comfortable right now, she would wear. She stopped on the sixth of the last stairs and just sat down, remembering that she was too bored to do anything. She heard voices and knew who they belonged to.
Sora and Kairi.
They came into view, stopped talking and turned once they saw her. They said nothing as they past her and headed to where ever they were going, both of them, giving her a dirty look before turning back.
*What was that all about? Well, so much for caring. Hn, baka's.*
Wait a second? Had she wanted them to care? Did she want them to feel sad for her? No, no, they only showed pity, they didn't care, they just cared about themselves. Which brought her back to the beginning, did she care if they cared?
She suddenly remembered what he had done to her
What he had put her through
What he had blamed on her
Why he wanted to kill her....
Her eyes widen, as her breathing suddenly came slow. She realized something.
He had done this on purpose....
They had given her a chance, and now that they knew what had happened to her, they no longer cared. Was she alone? No...they just thought it was wrong, wrong for her to have gone through such pain and not cry about it all. But they didn't know, no one but Riku knew.
She did cry, they just hadn't known it.
She did scream in pain
She did scream for help
But no one heard her....
"Hey"
"huh?" she looked up to see her silver-haired bishie in front of her.
"You spaced out, what's wrong?" he asked, sitting in the same position as her on the step before hers.
"Nothing...I just don't understand....they don't know what happened, and if they do, they don't the effect it had on me, yet Sora and Kairi just walked past me like I was a piece of trash, not worthy to look at...I wonder sometimes..." she said softly looking up at the ceiling, which to her, was the closest thing to the sky right now.
"Well, maybe they don't think your normal anymore, maybe they think that you don't feel pain, maybe they just don't think you minded getting...you know" he hesitated, and watched her carefully. At what he said, she tensed, her body, now stiff.
*Is that what they think? That I have no emotions? That I can't feel pain? They no nothing about the pain I've felt, nothing. They don't know what It feels like being raped or beat. They don't know what I've been through, so they can't judge me*
"Sky?!"
She snapped out of her thoughts, "Huh? Oh, um, sorry" she whispered, her head hung down. He lifted her chin up with his finger, "I know something's wrong, tell me" he whispered, so softly, she was lucky she heard him.
She sighed. "It's your fault, your the one making me go soft" she playfully replied. He gave her a fake sad look.
"Awww, you just hurt me right here" he said putting a hand over his heart. She laughed a bit, but not as much as she wanted to. Though she wasn't one for laughing, he was the only who could make her.
She watched him and smirked as he soon was immobilized by his own thoughts.
*Is it possible, that if Sky does have this disease, that I can kill her? But If it's just a illness, she should be fine soon...right?*
