Chapter 18: The Lord of the Dabus

 

He pulls out the robe in his head.

 

“IT CANT BE!” said Temari as she moved a tad bit back.

 

The man looks at Temari. His hair falls to his shoulders. His eyes are a mixture of yellow and red. He has a collar around his neck. A pointy but still rounded nose he has. Normal ears. His lips are painted in purple. His face just ignites the fear in anyone, even the most fearless of people. He has a line that crosses his entire forehead in the middle. One side to the other.

 

“So, it is true the Dabus have been revived. After Tomoro defeated you, you fled like a coward and did not meet your punishment.” said Temari.

 

“Defeat? I just wasn't powerful enough by then maybe. I had a purpose in life and now I have met it. I am the Lord of the Dabus, Nemesis.” he said with a grin.

 

“Nemesis huh? You took the name of a goddess you filthy rat” said Temari as her face showed anger.

 

“It represents me don't you think. I represent Justice and Vengeance as well.” said Nemesis.

 

“Your name is forbidden to be spoken in Hi Go An, and even in the whole Capital. What do you seek here? To control the Capital?” said Temari as she grabbed her radio.

 

“No No No! No radios!” said Nemesis as he pulled the radio from Temari's hand with psychic waves. He grabbed it and broke it in pieces.

 

“Kids, run out of here! NOW!” said Temari.

 

Sandou stares at Nemesis. Nemesis looks back at Sandou. They stare for a second or two.

 

Temari notices this and pushes Sandou.

“So that's what you are looking” she said.

 

“That's the boy huh? And I bet that's the girl? Very risky to have them together” said Nemesis with a smile.

 

“What is he talking about?” asked Shana.

 

“RUN!” said Temari.

 

“No, we are staying!” said Sandou.

 

“That's an order... go away” said Temari while keeping a look on Nemesis.

 

Nemesis begins to walk towards Temari.

 

“Too late” she thought. She extends her arm and shoots a psychic wave out of her hand. Nemesis just waves his hand and the attack stops.

 

“LETS GO!” said Temari as she grabbed Shana by the hand and tried to run away, but she suddenly could not move.

 

“You are not taking them away” said Nemesis with a grin.

 

Temari closes her eyes and in a second she breaks free of the bind Nemesis put on her. Nemesis extends his arm and using waves he pulls Temari towards him.

 

“WHAT!” she thought. Nemesis kicks Temari in the stomach then grabs her by the hair as she fell to her knees.

 

“You have no power against me” said Nemesis with a far more serious look. He threw her towards the wall. She hits it and falls unconscious. He then looks at the kids.

 

“Let's go!” said Nyosuke as he grabbed Shana by the hand and began to run away. But Sandou stood and looked at Nemesis.

“What power...” thought Sandou.

 

“SANDOU! COME!” yelled Shana. Sandou breaks out of his daydreaming and runs away.

 

Nemesis slowly follows them as he walks.

 

“We must get out of here!” said Nyosuke as the three of them ran alone in the Castle.

 

Then they saw a huge hallway that lead to a door.

 

“Let's go that way!” said Nyosuke.

 

Suddenly a wall of rock is lifted, blocking their path to the hallway.

 

“CRAP!” said Sandou.

 

“Let's go left!” said Shana.

 

They run to another hallway at the left.

 

“RUN, RUN!” kept saying Nyosuke. They turn to the right to another hallway and look at another door.

 

As they are close to reaching the door, another wall of rock is lifted from the floor blocking their path.

 

“No!” said Shana.

 

“Left!” said Nyosuke as they went down some stairways that led to another hallway that had windows on the right.

 

“There!” said Sandou.

 

But suddenly from the wall on the left, Nemesis appears. He had crossed the wall.

 

“No way!” said Sandou. The three of them stop and turn back, but another wall of rock gets lifted behind them, blocking the way back.

 

“We are stuck!” said Shana as she began to tremble.

 

“Hello, hello” said Nemesis with a smile.

 

Nyosuke quickly acts.

 

“Grand Water Spike!” yelled Nyosuke. In front of him a cube of water appeared, and it began to turn like a huge spike.

 

“SHOOT!” said Nyosuke as the spike was shot towards Nemesis.

 

Nemesis easily blocks the attack by spinning to the right.

 

“You are reckless” said Nemesis with a grin.

 

“Wind Needles!” said Shana as she shot the air needles out of her hand.

 

All the needles hit Nemesis, but nothing happens. Nemesis just laughs.

 

“Kids. Don't you think those techniques are a bit elemental to defeat me” he said.

 

Sandou was there standing, doing nothing.

 

“Shana, let's attack him at once!” whispered Nyosuke to Shana.

 

“Now, please, stop” said Nemesis as suddenly neither Nyosuke nor Shana could move.

 

“What do you want?” asked Shana as she struggled to get free of the bind.

 

“I am seeking for students. For people that want to become powerful, real powerful. I am the key to power. With me you shall become even stronger than your Leader” said Nemesis with a grin.

 

Sandou was still shocked.

 

“What a huge power...” he kept thinking.

 

“We would never betray Hi Go An, or the Numbus” said Nyosuke.

 

“Oh... I think I recognize you. Hyryosuke was your father, right kid?” asked Nemesis to Nyosuke.

 

“What...” said Nyosuke shocked.

 

“Yes. Same long hair and attitude. Without a doubt, you are his son.” said Nemesis.

 

“You... you are that man. The one who was with my father the day the North attacked us right” said Nyosuke as he looked with hate at Nemesis.

 

“Now is not the time for that” said Nemesis with a smile as he looked towards Shana and then Sandou.

 

Suddenly Sandou began to hear voices inside his head.

 

“Power, you desire Power more than anything. You want to be powerful!” said a faint, but dark voice, inside his head.

 

“Yes” replied Sandou inside his head.

 

“You feel weak compared to the boy at your side, right” said the voice.

 

“Yes...” replied Sandou once more.

 

“You are far more stronger than you even know.” said the voice.

 

“Stop looking at my brother!” yelled Shana to Nemesis.

 

Suddenly the voice inside Sandou's head stopped. Nemesis eyes then turned to Shana.

 

“This girl, it would be useless. Her desire for power is weak unlike her brother. I won't lose my time with her, I am taking the boy” thought Nemesis as he let go a smile.

 

Suddenly the windows at the right all broke in pieces. A crashing sound is heard and all three kids are surprised.

 

The dust cleared out and what is seen was surprising. Leader Tomoro had arrived at the castle and had crashed Nemesis into a wall.

 

“LEADER!” said Shana. Suddenly the Leader is pushed back.

 

“Tomoro” said Nemesis as he pulled himself out of the wall.

 

“Team, take the kids” ordered Tomoro to the 4 soldiers that went with him.

 

“Sir, Temari is on the other side” said Shana.

 

“One of you look for her” said Tomoro. The whole place began to rumble.

 

“We cannot be in the same place for much don't you think Tomoro” said Nemesis with a grin.

 

“This power....” thought Nyosuke shocked.

 

“It is dangerous to be here. Get out of here” said Tomoro to the 3 soldiers.

 

They grabbed the kids and went away. The fourth one went to look for Temari.

 

“This castle won't hold us two for much” said Nemesis.

 

“Two number one ranked Numbus in one place. I thought I'd never live to see this happen” said Tomoro looking at Nemesis.

 

“Me a Numbus? I am a Dabus my dear Tomoro” said Nemesis.

 

“A Dabus...” said Tomoro while staring at Nemesis.
