Chapter 23: Tomoro's Funeral
It was a rainy and gloomy day in Hi Go An. Three days had passed since the events in the Capital. In the very center of Hi Go An, a huge stone had been raised. It had the form of a spearhead. On it's base it had some stairs that led towards a hole and at the side of that hole there was a small pillar that had inscriptions on it. In front of the Spearhead Stone crowds of Numbus and people alike lined up, leaving the center free allowing path towards the stairs.
Six people held a white coffin. It had the sign of a dragon on top. Roshika, Shozen, Tenzen, Yuke, Kon and Katsura, all of them top Numbus were the ones holding it.
Tenzen was a man, about 35. He had gray hair, gray eyes and had a funny looking face. Yuke was a huge man, very muscular. He was bald and had a tad pointy head. He was extremely serious looking. Kon was a young man, about 21 years. His face was one of a cheerful person, he looked like a cool, rebel young teenager. Long gray hair he had and big gray eyes as well. He was the shortest of them all. Katsura had a more serious look, not as Yuke though. His hair fell below his shoulders and was very straight. He had brown eyes.
They were all wearing a garment that mixed blue, white and black. They walked between the space left by the crowd in the center. Numbus and people alike threw flowers at the coffin. They began to climb the stairways towards the hole that would become the grave. They put the coffin at the side of the future grave. Amy then proceeded to stand in front of the pillar that was risen a the side of the grave. She raised her head and looked at the whole multitude that was there.
“We have lost a great man. One man that stood against anything he thought was wrong. A man that defended what he believed in. A man that was powerful, honest and cheerful. He was a rightful man, and I doubt any Numbus ever could surpass him as Leader. He accepted everyone from the depths of his heart. He even accepted me and we do not have a bloodline in common. When Sau-Syu-Han of the North attacked us a few years ago my mother was killed. I was left alone in the battlefield. And then... Leader Tomoro appeared and grabbed me. He saved me. He decided he would name me his granddaughter as he never had any son. I was always by his side and was trained by him. And for that, I will be forever grateful.” she said as tears fell down her chin.
“He was a kind man... One of those you don't find these days. He treated me like his own daughter. So, the man that helped rebuild Hi Go An after the Great War has passed away, defending what he believed was right. He died defending what he loved. And we shall forever, remember him.” said Amy as she walked away from the pillar and stared at the coffin.
The six Numbus lifted the coffin and let it slowly fall in the grave. After that had been done they walked to the sides, surrounding the coffin.
“Pay your respects now” said Amy.
People began to line up and walked towards the grave, throwing flowers and things at the coffin.
“Leader... thank you for everything” said Sandou as he threw a rose towards the coffin and walked away. Shana then followed him.
“You accepted us... even though we were alone. You visited us every week. You gave us a home and food. Thank you forever, we shall be grateful for eternity” said Shana as she threw another rose. And so everyone paid their respects that day. Eventually, after everyone had finished the grave was covered by earth.
The next day had come. It was a sunny day and the sun shined above every single building of Hi Go An.
“Our vacations start in a few days, and the trip to Hylia in a month. We will have a lot of time to relax” said Shana to Sandou as they walked along the riverbank of the Hi Go Grand River.
“Yeah. That trip to Hylia sure sounds cool.” said Sandou.
“You aren't in your ultra cheerful mood today” said Shana.
“I still can't believe he died. I thought he would win for sure” replied Sandou.
“He was already old Sandou. The other guy had incredible techniques as well” said Shana.
“That other guy... He was so creepy. Did you look at his eyes?” asked Sandou.
“I avoided to. His face just gave me the chills.” replied Shana.
“It was not only his face. You could sense his power all over the place. He was really powerful. That gave me the chills...” said Sandou.
“He sure was powerful” replied Shana.
Then a yell was heard.
“SHANA! SANDOU! STOP!” yelled Amy from behind as she ran towards them.
“Isn't that commander Amy” said Shana.
Eventually Amy catch up with them.
“I need to talk to you. As you know, I will likely become the next Leader. I assure you, that I will still provide you with a house and food” said Amy to them.
“We knew you would miss Amy. You have the same heart as him. The heart of a nice person. A caring and loving person, so we didn't even worry” replied Shana.
“And what if I told you I am kicking you out?” said Amy with a smile.
“Then we would go away. We live for free!”” said Shana. Amy then laughed.
“Just kidding. I know grandpa visited you guys every once in a while, I guess I shall try and do the same” said Amy with a smile.
“Thanks” said Sandou. “Yeah, thanks a lot” said Shana.
“No problem. Now I should spend some time with you, we haven't had much time to talk have we?” said Amy.
Suddenly someone yells.
“Miss Amy, you are being summoned at the Grand Office” said a Numbus from afar.
“Guess I have some duties already...*sigh*” said Amy.
“We can talk later!” said Shana.
“Sure” said Amy with a smile.
“She sure is a nice lady” said Shana. “Yeah” replied Sandou.
Amy arrived at the Grand Office, which was on the top floor of the tallest tower in Hi Go An.
“What am I needed for?” asked Amy after she arrived.
“We need to discuss some things. You will now pass and be the Leader of Hi Go An. There is a small problem, your rank is currently 4, and 3 is needed to become a Leader. The wise men of Hi Go An have come to a conclusion. We will grant you time to train and climb up to rank 3. You have 3 months to do that. As far as we know you already have war experience, battle experience and administrating the army forces of Hi Go An so you are more than qualified. The only thing we need is for you to train a bit more and learn a few techniques so you can be ascended. Are you alright with his?” said an old woman which was part of the Wise Men of Hi Go.
“Yes I am” said Amy with a smile.

Meanwhile, in a unknown place a Dark Tower rose up the skies.
In a dark room with pillars and a throne in the end of that hallway, Nemesis sat down. Kaworu was by his side.
“I will live from this curse. It will not last much and I am getting used to the pain it causes. Now Kaworu... we need to plan our next step. Hi Go An is weak without a Leader. The young Amy will be the next Leader, but she isn't strong enough. She is weak and can be killed easily” said Nemesis.
“I understand sir” said Kaworu.
“We must call upon Hi Go An's worst enemy, the Say Syu An of the North. The destruction of Hi Go An will assure us we can take over the capital easily. Our main duty though... IS TO KILL AMY” said Nemesis as he drew a grin in his face.
