&n bsp; Taylin stood up and looked outside and saw a huge demon that gave out a terrible roar.
"Fudge." she stepped back inside. "Yosha, remember what I said, not a word." she grabs her scythe and heads out, leaving a quiet Yosha behind. Taylin raised her scythe above her head and quickly brought it down.
"DEATH VAPOR!"
"DIE BEAST, DIE!" Silver, sharp discs flew out towards the monsters leg, cutting off the monster's leg.
"Huh?!" Taylin looked back and saw Jatar, transformed and ready for action. The vapors she released made their way to the demon and began to steal it's life energy. Jatar, unknowingly, runs towards the demon and starts pummeling it with his claws. "Watch out Jatar!" Taylin flew into the air, since Jatar took no heed to her warning. The vapors were beginning to get closer to Jatar, who was still beating the hell out of the demon. Taylin snatches Jatar out of the way just before the vapors consumed him and plops him on the ground.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" he was clearly angry that someone interrupted his fighting time.
"Don't touch the vapors!" Taylin warned. "If you have life, they will suck it out of you."
"I thought you said it only affects demons?" he asked. Taylin shook her head.
"No, I never said that. I could never afford to make a mistake like that." Taylin turned her attention to the rampaging demon. "Let's make the demon flee. We can follow it back. You got any tracers?"
"Yes, about four left." He took out one to show her.
"Good. Give one to Kogashi and have him plant one on the demon when it's not looking. I'll keep it distracted." With that said, Taylin took to the sky and began to circle around the demon.
"KOGASHI!" Jatar called out to him. Kogashi ran over to him.
"Yeah?" Jatar handed him a tracer.
"Take this and plant it on the demon. You're fast so you should be able to do it." Kogashi nodded and quickly sprinted off. Taylin hit various parts of the demon while avoiding its limbs.
'Just about there' Kogashi thought to himself. Taylin manuvered about the demon, hitting it sporadically. Unfortunately, the demon saw Kogashi and smashed him to the ground, knocking him unconcious.
"NO!" Jatar watched his comrade hit the ground violently.
"KOGASHI!" Taylin tried to tend to her friend, but was knocked out of the sky and hits the ground. Jatar watched in disbelief as his companions were being swatted away like insects before his eyes.
"YOU BASTARD!" Jatar began shooting off acid and shrapnel shots from his shoulder cannon. Taylin struggled to her feet.
"Damnit..." a black aura forms around her, making Jatar look over to where she landed.
"What?! But...you're in your second form!" He saw her roots bleed into black and she had more markings on her body. Her tail became a devil's tail. She raised her scythe.
"Jat-kun...MOVE!" Taylin dug her huge scythe into the ground, which began to split in two.
"OH SHIT!" he managed to dodge in the nick of time.
"FURY OF THE SEVENTH LAYER!" Molten lava spewed forth from the ground. The demon saw this and moved out of the way, unfortunately, the lava followed it.
'What the hell is this thing?' Jatar thought to himself. 'No wonder the leader couldn't beat it.' The lava engulfs the demon. The demon let out a roar. Taylin took out her scythe.
"You shouldn't have hurt my friend." her tail whipped about her, while the lava retreated to the earth. The smoke that was billowing around the demon finally settled. "He should flee now." Jatar pointed towards the demon with a shakey finger.
"Um, w-wrong, Tay. Look at him..." Taylin takes a look and sees that the demon had fused with the lava, to become a lava demon.
"Damnit to HELL!!" Taylin flies upwards towards the clouds. The demon shoots lava at Yosha.
"SHIT!" he manages to block it with his massive blade. Taylin sliced a cloud open.
"ETERNAL WINTER!" a flurry of freezing rain pummels demon. The demon fuses with freezing rain.
"FUCK! It seems to fuse to all of our magical attacks! Anything that represents the elements he just builds amunities to and then fuses with them!" Jatar explained.
"He shouldn't do that. The cold will break him apart from the inside. That's what the spell does, once absorbed it destroys the host." she explained. She watched as the demon shot ice blasts at Yosha, who blocked each attack. "Any minute now..." the demon chuckled as its skin began to crack. Taylin smirked. "Bingo."
"That's what you think little girl!" the demon said. Its body shattered into smaller ice demons. Jatar groaned in frustration.
"What a bitch!" Jatar felt Taylin's power increase and turned towards an angry death angel.
"I'm SO tired of this..." Taylin creates a shield and began to grow power inside of it. She looked at Jatar and her comrades with a solemn look. "Jat-kun, if I don't make this, then you won't have to worry about me anymore." She gave him a sad look.
"Tay..." he said under his breath. Yosha looked on in disbelief. Kogashi was coming around from his unconciousness and widened his eyes in surprise.
"I'm sorry...protect yourselves." The demon laughed at the group, Taylin in particular.
"THAT'S IT, DEATH ANGEL! HIT ME WITH YOUR SHIELD! If you hit me I become apart of you, and you know what that means." the demon chuckled. Taylin's shield began to glow. She gave the demon and evil smile. "SO DO YOUR WORST!"
"Oh, I won't hit you with me shield..." she responded.
"WHAT?!"
"KAMIKAZE WAVE!" A massive release of dead energy exploded from her shield. The surprised look on the demon's face was priceless. However, he saw a cut on her arm and grinned. The demon honed in on Taylin's wound and enters it, or so he thought. As the energy died down, Taylin flickered out of sight. The only trace of her were a few black feathers. Suddenly they all heard a distant voice.
You won't be able to find me. I'm not on this plane.
"What? Then who did I posses if not you?!" the demon asked.
That matters not to me... the voice faded. The group stood from where they were taking cover.
Yosha began to laugh. "YOU STUPID DEMON! YOU FUSED YOURSELF WITH ONE OF THE VILLAGERS!"
"LIES!" the demon looked at his new form in horror. "NO!"
"What an idiot!" Jatar laughed. Yosha pulled out his sword but Jatar stopped him. "NO Yosha!"
Yosha looked at Jatar in confusion. "What? I was gonna kill him!"
"How do you think that will make us look if we just kill one the villagers? It would makes us look like murderers! We're here to help, not destroy."
He put away his blade. "Fine." Kogashi walked towards the group.
"What happened?"
"The demon meant to possess Tay-chan, but got one of the villagers instead." Jatar explained. He pointed over to the disgruntled villager that was the demon.
"So where is she?" Kogashi asked.
Jatar looked around. "She must be around here somewhere."
"I think you're wrong." Yosha interjected. Jatar turned to him.
"Huh?"
"Didn't you hear her? She's not on this plane! Which means she isn't here!" Yosha explained. Jatar's face was covered in shock. He began to shake his head in dsibelief.
"No, she can't be--"
"I doubt it." Yosha stated non-chalantly.
"What?! What do you doubt?" Jatar voice was filled with panick. Yosha just crossed his arms.
"She's not dead, if that's what you think." Jatar was becoming clearly agitated.
"Then where is she?!"
"I DON'T KNOW! I'M NOT PSYCHIC!" Yosha suddenly found himself staring at Jatar's claws against his neck.
"Don't ever yell at me like that again!" Jatar said in a menacing voice.
"What's the deal? Why are you acting all edgy!" Yosha asked, narrowing his eyes at Jatar, despite the obvious threat to his health.
"I'm edgy because no one is telling me where Tay-chan is..." Jatar's voice became saddened and soft. Yosha saw the sadness in his friend's eyes.
"She'll come back."
"Just like your friend did?" Yosha's eyes widened in surprise. "She hates you now. I don't want that to happen to me. Having her die knowing that...I couldn't save her..." Jatar let go of Yosha.
"Uh, guys? What should we do about him?" Kogashi points to the villager/demon. Jatar looked up.
"We have to chain him up with anything we can find until he seperates from its host." Jatar felt his eyes being covered.
"Guess who?" the femine voice said.
"Huh?!" the voice giggled at his shock.
"Come on! You're smart!"
"T-T-TAY?!" His eyes were uncovered and he quickly turned around.
"Bingo!" Taylin was in her first transformed state, fully healed. "Miss me?"
Jatar's rage began to boil inside of him, which didn't go unnoticed. Taylin looked at him uneasily.
"J-Jat-kun? What's wrong?"
"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS?! I WAS FUCKING SCARED HALF TO DEATH!! YOU WERE NO WHERE TO BE FOUND AND NONE OF YOU WOULD TELL ME WHAT WAS GOING ON!!" Jatar slumped to his knees and finally let loose the tears he had been trying to hold back.
"Jat-kun...I'm sorry..." Talin hugged Jatar, who tensed up. "I should have told you about my kamikaze wave, and it's side effects." Jatar looked up at her.
"What side effects?"
"When I use it, the majority of my energy is released, and when I'm done I get sent to another plane to regain energy. It's only for a short time though." she explained.
"Well it seemed like eternity to me." Taylin gave him a soft smile.
"I didn't mean to worry you." Jatar gave her a pouty look, which made Taylin giggle in response. "Get up, Mr. Big, Bad Hunter with the cutesy pouty face!"
Jatar smirked in response as he stood. "Oh you're gonna pay for that!" Taylin began looking from side to side. Jatar laughed. "I'm just kidding with you!" Taylin let out a sigh of relief.
"Let's go handle our little visitor." Taylin smiled evilly at the villager/demon, who was tied up thanks to Kogashi.
"Aye let's." They both walked over and stood in front of the demon.
"Are you also one of Ukaran's minions?" Taylin asked. The demon just spat at her in response. She jumped back.
"How rude to do that to a lady! I'd bitch-slap his ass." Jatar said. Taylin took one of her feathers and shot it at the demons neck.
"That feather will drain your energy, leaving you with nothing. However, you can avoid a painful extraction by giving us what we want to know." The demon glared in response. "Oh really?" Taylin's eyes turned black and the black feather began to glow. The demon hissed at the pain radiating from his neck, but didn't scream. Jatar put his claws to its throat.
"Either tell, or I let her work her magic. The decision is up to you."
"Fine." the demon responds. Taylin shrugs.
"Alright." Her eyes return to normal and the feather stops glowing, ceasing its energy drain. "Talk."
"I'm known as a copier demon and i've never heard of this Ukaran idiot. My abilities include possesion and copying to fuse with attacks." the demon stated. Taylin raised an eyebrow.
"Why do you terrorize this village?"
"This was my territory long before they came and stole it, so they have to pay the consequences. They may not have known I was here, but that doesn't change a thing." he sneered. Taylin grabbed her head.
Take the village, help the demons. One set of voices said to Taylin mentally. Help the villagers, they need protection. another set said.
"The fact is that this is my territory, and they can either leave or die. It is either they're heads or mine and, I would rather it be there's than mine."
"So...torn..." Taylin dropped to her knees.
"TAY-CHAN!" Jatar went over to her.
"Quiet..." she stated, more to herself than to Jatar.
"Huh?"
"Quiet...don't tell me what to do..." Jatar looked at her worriedly. "You can't have blood..."
"T-T-Tay...what are you talking about?" Kogashi and Yosha were also puzzled as to what was going on.
"They knew nothing of your land..." she continued.
"Stop it, you're scaring me..." Jatar said to her. Taylin lifted her head slightly.
"We'll help you get your village back, and move the villagers to the village nearby." Taylin let go of her head and stood. The others looked at her uneasily. "What say you, demon?"
"How do you suppose this, witch?" it asked.
"We will convince the village to occupy the one down the road. It's empty, and there isn't any danger there." she explained. The demon began to think.
"Ah yes, that one. Do you know why it's empty?"
"Not a clue." she answered.
"It's empty because it is known as the spectere village. It is literally a ghost town. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it isn't. It was burned down about six years ago by an angel of death," the demon smirked evilly, "much like you. Every inhabitant was killed, even the protector of the village's mother, by some other demon. I heard it could have been that Ukaran person you were talking about."
"Did you say another...death angel?" Taylin's eyes went wide. The demon's grin widened and nodded.
"The mother was found with a hole in her chest, and the little girl gone as well, the village's protector, the life angel." the demon began to laugh evilly.
"No..." Taylin's eyes became teary.
"You won't get anyone to stay in that village! Everyone would become a spectre or a zombie. Maybe even a demon! Why so surprised, witch?"
"I...I don't remember doing...any of that..." she said in a low voice. The demon looked at her strangely. "I ran from that village." There could only be one other person who could have done that."
"What are you saying, Tay?"Jatar looked at his grief stricken friend.
"F-father..."
"There had been rumors that the death angel and life angel had a child twelve years before this event." the demon continued. "The father was killed by the child, while the mother was killed by another demon." Tears cascaded down her face and she looked at the demon with hate.
"I NEVER KILLED MY FATHER!"
"WHAT?! YOU CAN'T BE!" the surprised demon said.
"I was told that my father died before I was born." she added.
"Obviously not." the demon mumbled under it's breath.
"He...he's still alive..."
"No, he was definitely killed by the daughter. You probably didn't think you did because you never actually knew he was you're father!" the demon laughed evilly. "How ironic!"
"No...you're wrong! I never did any of that! That village was destroyed after I fled! I saw it in ruins when I went back three weeks after I fled!" Taylin's voice began to crack due to her emotions.
The demon laughed. "As much as you'd like to disbelieve it, it is true that YOU destroyed the village!"
Taylin shook her head vigorously. "No, no I know my father is responsible for that! I'm telling the truth!" Taylin began to sob into her hands. Jatar, Kogashi, and Yosha were torn between anger, pity, and sadness of the entire situation. Taylin clasped her necklace. "Papa...I know you're not dead..."
Jatar growled low in his throat. "I've had enough of this. SOUL TRANSFER!" Jatar transfered the soul of the demon out of the villager and into a slug, and stepped on it. "Take that, asshole!"
"Well that was easy." Yosha stated. Taylin looked down at her necklace.
'You said you would come back for this...and for me..."

"I'm known as a copier demon and i've never heard of this Ukaran idiot. My abilities include possesion and copying to fuse with attacks." the demon stated. Taylin raised an eyebrow.
"Why do you terrorize this village?"
"This was my territory long before they came and stole it, so they have to pay the consequences. They may not have known I was here, but that doesn't change a thing." he sneered. Taylin grabbed her head.
Take the village, help the demons. One set of voices said to Taylin mentally. Help the villagers, they need protection. another set said.
"The fact is that this is my territory, and they can either leave or die. It is either they're heads or mine and, I would rather it be there's than mine."
"So...torn..." Taylin dropped to her knees.
"TAY-CHAN!" Jatar went over to her.
"Quiet..." she stated, more to herself than to Jatar.
"Huh?"
"Quiet...don't tell me what to do..." Jatar looked at her worriedly. "You can't have blood..."
"T-T-Tay...what are you talking about?" Kogashi and Yosha were also puzzled as to what was going on.
"They knew nothing of your land..." she continued.
"Stop it, you're scaring me..." Jatar said to her. Taylin lifted her head slightly.
"We'll help you get your village back, and move the villagers to the village nearby." Taylin let go of her head and stood. The others looked at her uneasily. "What say you, demon?"
"How do you suppose this, witch?" it asked.
"We will convince the village to occupy the one down the road. It's empty, and there isn't any danger there." she explained. The demon began to think.
"Ah yes, that one. Do you know why it's empty?"
"Not a clue." she answered.
"It's empty because it is known as the spectere village. It is literally a ghost town. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it isn't. It was burned down about six years ago by an angel of death," the demon smirked evilly, "much like you. Every inhabitant was killed, even the protector of the village's mother, by some other demon. I heard it could have been that Ukaran person you were talking about."
"Did you say another...death angel?" Taylin's eyes went wide. The demon's grin widened and nodded.
"The mother was found with a hole in her chest, and the little girl gone as well, the village's protector, the life angel." the demon began to laugh evilly.
"No..." Taylin's eyes became teary.
"You won't get anyone to stay in that village! Everyone would become a spectre or a zombie. Maybe even a demon! Why so surprised, witch?"
"I...I don't remember doing...any of that..." she said in a low voice. The demon looked at her strangely. "I ran from that village." There could only be one other person who could have done that."
"What are you saying, Tay?"Jatar looked at his grief stricken friend.
"F-father..."
"There had been rumors that the death angel and life angel had a child twelve years before this event." the demon continued. "The father was killed by the child, while the mother was killed by another demon." Tears cascaded down her face and she looked at the demon with hate.
"I NEVER KILLED MY FATHER!"
"WHAT?! YOU CAN'T BE!" the surprised demon said.
"I was told that my father died before I was born." she added.
"Obviously not." the demon mumbled under it's breath.
"He...he's still alive..."
"No, he was definitely killed by the daughter. You probably didn't think you did because you never actually knew he was you're father!" the demon laughed evilly. "How ironic!"
"No...you're wrong! I never did any of that! That village was destroyed after I fled! I saw it in ruins when I went back three weeks after I fled!" Taylin's voice began to crack due to her emotions.
The demon laughed. "As much as you'd like to disbelieve it, it is true that YOU destroyed the village!"
Taylin shook her head vigorously. "No, no I know my father is responsible for that! I'm telling the truth!" Taylin began to sob into her hands. Jatar, Kogashi, and Yosha were torn between anger, pity, and sadness of the entire situation. Taylin clasped her necklace. "Papa...I know you're not dead..."
Jatar growled low in his throat. "I've had enough of this. SOUL TRANSFER!" Jatar transfered the soul of the demon out of the villager and into a slug, and stepped on it. "Take that, asshole!"
"Well that was easy." Yosha stated. Taylin looked down at her necklace.
