< br> "ZANMATO!" Jatar used his sword to slice the gate in half, completely taking their enemies by surprise. Yosha takes out his own massive sword and stands in a battle stance. Kogashi cracks his knuckles in anticipation. "PREPARE FOR AMAGEDDON!" Jatar rushed in and hacked away at the first few enemies. Kogashi and Yosha followed suit.
Kogashi tackled a horde of copier demons, knocking them down and began pummeling them. They gathered around him in a group attack, but Kogashi proved too powerful for them and threw them off. Yosha let out a mighty battle cry and slashed the air with his massive sword, sending out a funnel of wind and lightning bolts hurdling towards a huge chunk of the demons. The right side of the castle was paved down, leaving behind ashes and brokens bones of fallen copier demons. Kogashi gutted a few more demons before turning his attention to the real battle between Jatar and the leader of the copier demons, Taylin's father.
Jatar and the leader stood in battle stances opposite each other, sizing the other up. Jatar made the first move and rushed the leader. With quick reflexes, the leader managed to block the attack by quickly unsheathing his sword. Both swords clashed together throughout the chaos surrounding them. It seemed that neither side would give up, until Jatar saw the leader's foot slip on a small puddle of blood and took the opportunity to unleash a powerful attack.
~Outside~
Taylin was sleeping soundly, ignorant to what was going on outside, and to the new guest standing over her, keeping an eye out for potential enemies.
~Inside~
"WAKIZASHI!" A massive shock wave made its way over to the leader in a flash, hitting the leader with force and sending him flying back into the castle walls. He slid down in a unceremonious heap, but miraculously he stood with a vengeful glare towards the hunter. Jatar raised his eyebrow in curiousity. "You're still standing, hmm? Good. THUNDERSTORM STRIKE!" Bolts of lighning from his sword lash out at his opponent in the same place sucessively.
The leader fell to his knees, but used his sword to prop himself up. He panted and glared at Jatar. "Is that all you have?" He smirked at the hunter, who narrowed his eyes in hatred.
"No. DRAGON FANG!" Jatar rushed the enemy and slashed him into the air. The hunter leapt into the air and carried out a series of slashes to his enemy, and with a final, powerful slash, he sent the leader to the ground with a ground shaking crash. He landed with ease next to the huge crater made from the leader's impact and smirked at the slightly moving figured. 'So, he wants more...' "STRIKE OF THE HEAVENS!" Jatar impales the ground with his sword, where lightning bolts shoot from it into the ground. They traveled towards his enemy, making him scream in agony before falling unconscious.
"What took so long?" Jatar looked back from his crouched position and saw Kogashi standing behind him, arms crossed and covered in demon blood, with a smirk on his features. "We were done for a while now."
Yosha walked behind him with a smug look, sword draped over his shoulder. "You must be losing your touch." Jatar gritted his teeth at him.
"Don't push it dog-boy."
~Outside~
Gore noticed stirring in his peripheral vision and turned his head towards Taylin, who opened sleepy eyes. She yawned and stretched lazily.
"That was a good nap." She looked around and noticed feet on the ground. She lead her eyes up the figure and her eyes widened at the new ally. "Wh-who...wh-what are you?!" She backed away cautiously and noticed that the hulking protector just stared at her. She stopped backing away and blinked in confusion. "Don't you talk?"
He simply gave her a short nod. "I was sent to watch you."
Taylin sighed and gave the hunter a smile. "Right. Thanks." They both quickly turned their heads towards the battle noises within the castle. Taylin stood up and looked at the foreboding castle. "I wonder what's going on in there." Taylin walked toward the sliced open entrance and was startled by the unconscious body of the leader thrown to her feet. She stared down in wonder then looked up at the carnage left behind from their battle in awe. "By...Ara..." She looked down at the man in tattered black robes. "Who...who's this?"
"This is you're dad I presume. If not, then can I kill him?" Jatar walks over to her, sword in tow, still crackling slightly with power.
"No, me." Gore smirked, cracking his knuckles. Taylin knelt down and turned over the unconscious body. Her eyes widened slightly at his features.
"I...I don't remember what he looked like, but...he looks like me, or I should say I look like him." She looked down at her necklace, which was glowing a bright blue. She unclaspsed the necklace and placed it onto her father's neck and watched in awe as it began to glow green. She looked up at Jatar, who had a puzzled look on his face. "Jat-kun...thank you for not killing him."
Jatar scratched the back of his head in wonder. "I'm surprised I didn't actually. All those attacks should have killed him. I went all out too. But here he is alive." Kogashi and Yosha stood to the sides, wondering what was going to happen next.
She turned her attention back to her unconscious father. "Perhaps we should get him cleaned up inside. There should be plenty of rooms in here." Gore knelt next to the slumbering leader.
"Allow me." He took out a small hidden stash in his forearm and took out two huge, serated needles. Taylin squeaked in fear and in a flash she was found hiding behind Jatar. Gore thrusted the needles into his chest and Taylin cringed at the agonizing her father let out. The others watched the leader's wounds disappear instantly. Gore began to cleanup. "Done."
Taylin peeked out from behind Jatar. "Are you sure?"
"Yes." He assured her. She stepped out from behind Jatar and knelt next to her once again unconscious father.
"When will he be awake?" She kept her gaze on her father, still amazed that he was alive after all this time.
"Since he is more susceptable to pain than Jatar and I, he should awaken in a few hours your time." Gore answered. Taylin nodded her head in understanding.
"Those things even make us cry out, but they work wonders. You can survive at least four small blasts to the chest after taking one of these"
Kogashi's eyes widened. "Wow. We should stock up on those things." Jatar nodded in agreement.
"So who's gonna carry him if we're gonna move inside?" Everyone turned towards Yosha. Taylin smirked at Yosha, which made the dog demon squirm underneath her gaze.
"I'll do it." Gore picked up the unconscious leader and hauled him over his shoulder. Taylin had a defeated look on her face, while Yosha sighed in relief.
"Aww...you should have let Yosha do it for opening his big mouth." She gave Gore a warm smile. "Thanks for being so nice." He nodded softly and continued further inside, along with the rest of the group.
