Fan Fiction ❯ Maho Tenshi ❯ PreDance ( Chapter 2 )
(/fashback or dream/) Chapter Two- Pre-Dance
/ "You can't expect her to let you keep that runt, it's only good use would be target practise " A dark hair kid said to another child who was clutching a small puppy protectively to his chest. "No wonder her misteress gets annoyed with you."
The boy hold the puppy sniffed slightly and held the creature closer. "It's only a baby, it can't do no harm, and I don't want to keep it, I was just making sure it wasn't hurt." He said in a half difent half whiney voice. "Dr. Ruben was going to test things on it."
"It's Ruden's job to test things on animals, it's how he figures out if it'll kill us when we get tested with it." The dark haired one said stiffly, though he was seemingly trying to stop from grinning. "Though, I have to amit, it'll be funny listening to him, rave about how a poor little dog got away from him. The misteress would tan his hide if she found out that a dog got away all on it's own."
The boy with the dog half smiled. "You mean, your not going to tell them I let it out?" He asked. His eyes, which were an odd mixture of lavender and brown glowed with hope. The first boy snorted, blowing a stray hair out of his face.
"Nah, were's the fun in that? I'd not get anything out of it, and you'd just be punished and I'd have to listen to you whine....Nope, I won't tell." He crouched down so he was level with dog and child, he was older the both by a few years, and held out his hands. "But it would be best if you let be put the darn pest somewhere where it'll be out of everyones way."
The other child reluctantly let the older boy take the puppy, then gave him a stern look. "Don't drop him, and make sure Ruben doesn't get him back." He said in an equally stern tone.
The black haired boy's crimson colored eyes flashed as he did a half salute, holding the dog under his free arm. "Yes sir!"/
The sound of knocking on his dorm door made Aaruko wake from his dream. Which had been the first remotely good one in almost as long as he could remember. He fruitlessly tried to ignore the knocking and grasp onto the rapidly fading dream, with no success. All he got was the same as every other time. Black hair, red eyes and a feeling of loss and forgoten things. But, the knocking had stoped, maybe he could fall back asleep, it was saturday, he had no school.
Aaruko sometimes forgot his bad luck, along with everything else. "ARO WAKE UP AND ANSWER THE ANCEINTS BE DAMNED DOOR!" In the month he had been at Gehere, that voice had become well known, but was still rather annoying. Espeacally when using that demeaning nick name.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP NOA!" Hey, if they were going to use a nickname for him, it was only fair to do so them. "GIVE ME A MINUTE!" He added to the first holler as he climbed out of bed and over to he dresser. Not by all 8 Anceints would he let Ronai, who he knew was the person out side of his room, see him in just his boxers. It wasn't like he really cared, but he just had a feeling that the more curious of the two of them would ask to many questions about the many small scars all over his upper body. Snatching up a pale gray shirt and a blueish-silver colored sash like thing off of the dresser top he quickly put them on. In only a few seconds, he had the shirt on and the sash slungover one shoulder and tied on the opposite side of his waist.
Finally, he went over o the door and opened it, revealing a bored looking Ronai. "Whad'da ya want Noa?" he asked the dirty blond. "It's early even for you to be up."
Ronai smile at Aaruko and tugged on his sash. "And good morning to you too Aro." He said cheerfully. When Aaruko frowned angrily at him, he was always cranky in the morning, Ronai sighed. "You know, you need to lighten up. I mean, today is a holiday, if you didn't know."
"I know it's a holiday, though I really don't understand why people would celibrate it." Aaruko moved back into his room, leaving the door open so Ronai could come in aswell. "I know I'm not going to."
Ronai pouted slightly. "Don't be such an asshole, Aaruko. I'd think you of all people would be more likely to be celibrating today. Instead of what ever else it is you do in your free time." He stated, walking into the room and closing the door.
"Is there a reason to your bothering me, or is this just you being you like normal? I don't want to sit around and chit chat all day, and I won't be able to go back to bed now." Aaruko asked, runing a hand through his orange hair.
Ronai smiled bigger than normal, if possible. "I want you to go to the dance tonight, it'll be fun and Draygoone Day is my second faveorite holiday." He pleaded.
/Come on De, they won't notice if we're gone for just a little bit. It is Draygoone day/ The sudden flash of memory made Aaruko blink, but it was gone away almost as suddenly as it had come. Frowning, he gave Ronai what he hoped was a dismisive glare. "I don't care if it's Dance- Around-in-Your-Boxers Day, I don't want to go." He snapped, trying to lose some of his fustration by doing so.
"Pllleeeeaasse Aaaarrro!" Ronai whined, not bothered at all by Aaruko's snappyness.
Aaruko snorted. "Stop acting like your 7 instead of seventeen. I don't like Draygoone, he's my lest favorite Anceint, son there is no way I'm gona go." That was true enough. Draygoone, the snake dragon God of torment and suffering, reminded him of something that was just barely out of reach of. his mind. It made him feel like he was forgetting something, or one, important.
"Please come with me! If you don't, Chikara is going to make me go with that rat girl Sara. You wouldn't make me go with the uglyest creation on earth would you?" Ronai was runing short on idea's to make Aaruko go. So, he pouted and gave puppy dog eyes again.
Aaruko matched Ronai's sad face with a glare. In the month he'd known Ronai, there was a few things he couldn't figure out. How could someone who ace's every pshical test and exam with skills that rivaled his own, not to mention Ronai's migickal skills, be so damn...hyper all the time. Ronai was training to join the Omeaga Army, the army/industry that control almost half the planet, and yet he was so childish all the time.
Finally, after almost two minutes of staring, Aaruko sighed. "Fine, I'll go, but only for a bit."
Ronai forced himself not to do a victory dance and suttled for grinning madly and saying "Thank you, thank you, thank you" a few times.
"What ever, now go away, I want to do some exercises before I have to go to the fuckin dance with you." Aaruko grumbled, waving Ronai towards the doot and watching as the happy teen almost skipped down the hall.
