Prologue
“No! Absolutely not!” barked a stout bearded man.
“But its just for fun. I hardly get to do anything up here.” Reasoned the stunning and overly-garlanded woman as the both of them scurry in the granite corridor.
“What you are planning is just…. amiss.” the man retorted.
“Amiss? How could you ever judge it like that?” countered the elegance.
“Nevermind. We shall settle this matter with HIM.” The aged man ended.
The debate immediately ended as the two enter into a room shielded by massive doors. In the room were vast ornaments and furnishings crafted with either gold or gems. The two walked along a regal red carpet in the middle of the area. At the end of it was a throne befit for a king uplifted a few feet by a granite platform. Situated on it was a elderly man dressed in lush colors of violet, gold, red and blue. And on his head, a crown of utmost elegance and craft. The crown, which was almost as decorated as the room it was in, looked that it weighed heavily upon the king’s head.
However, the monarch appears to be as comfortable as anyone can be. It was as if the crown weighed as light as a feather. He himself was pale and looked like someone who really needed a shave with his beard reaching down to his stomach. His grey hair was as smooth and sleek as silk as it ran through his furnish.
The sovereign man saw the two walking towards him and soon held up his right palm. It signaled the two to stop where they stood. They then bent down hiding their faces upon the king.
“You may rise.” The king beamed. His voice was somehow weary, as if it had spoken all day.
“My lord, she ---“ the man was interrupted.
“I know why you have appeared before me.” The king spoke in a much rougher tone.
“You do?” questioned the lady in green.
“I AM GOR! GOD OF TIME AND KING OF ALL! Of course I know of what you plan.” The king bellowed in a voice which shook the room.
“My apologies my lord but does my ‘plan’ offend you?” she asked apparently not shaken by the reaction of the king.
“Of course it offends him! This ‘plan’ of yours is truly outrageous!” growled the man beside her.
“Muuk, god of the winds, since when do you make my decisions?” snarled Gor.
“Never me lord. I am sorry. Its just that---“ once again interrupted but by Mila this time.
“I think it is wise for you to keep things to yourself this time. My ‘plan’, as you call it, is not as bad as it seems. All I want is something to do. Its all boring down there. I just was to stir something up. You know… some excitement once in a while.” Mila explained.
After listening to the lady’s reasoning, the king stood up and took up his golden scepter with a green gem on top of it. As soon as the two saw this, they immediately kneeled down and once again bowed.
“I too am bored. I will approve this ‘plan’ of yours. However, only to a certain degree. I don’t want this to escalate into something much worse that we might regret later on.” The god declared in now a much calmer tone.
Muuk however wanted to object even further but, realizing that Mila has won already the favor of the monarch, stood up and bowed once more to the throne then turned around and spoke softly:
“You know, for a goddess of mercy, you seem to be very callous” then paced towards the door and left the two.
“Mila, when will you start this ‘plan’?” Gor asked realizing that there would be no more opposition.
“I am yet to make the preparations”
“You have to make sure that it cannot cause great problems.”
“Yes my king.” She replied with a cold tone.
“Come now, Muuk is gone, you can end your acting.”
“Very well”
“So Mila, how many are going to be needed?” he said in a interrogative tone.
“Six”
“Six? No, I want four.”
“You already gave me your word. Six will suit my plan.” She closed.
“Six it is then”
“My lord, may I ask you one last request?” she asked using a very charming smile.
“Very well, what is it?”
“May I have an item from your treasury?”
“My treasury? Which item? Gold? Diamonds? Rubies?” curious of the sudden request.
“There is a certain stone there. A prized relic of yours.”
“No.”
“Why not!?”
“I see what you plan.”
“See? You predict what I have in plan for it?”
“Yes”
“Please!”
“NO!” he barked to sign the end of this debate.
The goddess, seeing that she has nothing more to say, stood up and curtsied then which she strolled down towards the door. But just as she opens the door, she senses that the king has something to ask her.
“What is it my lord?”
“May I inquire of his name?”
“I want the stone. Give it to me or I wont do the whole thing.” She said with a slight smirk in her face.
“Very well. Do not disappoint me.”
“Yes Gor,”
“And his name?”
“Damiel” the goddess said softly as she vanishes into the next room.
