Ok, again, don't laugh. 'BB' is short for Baby Boomer, my first and only dog. I promised my mom that I would take care of him, but after a while I never did anything. I never gave him baths, never played with him, I yelled at him, and a lot of other stuff. One day I came home, and Boomer wasn't there. My mom had taken him to the pound, and I didn't even get to say good-bye. So this poem is for Boomer.

I'm sorry that I left you,
When you needed me the most,
I'm sorry that I hurt you,
And now you're just a ghost.
A ghost that haunts my dreams at night,
I hear your mournful cries,
A ghost that needs someone to love,
I'm sorry for the lies.
I said I would protect you,
That I'd always be there,
I said nothing would harm you,
I guess that wasn't fair.
I never showed my love,
I didn't say good-bye,
And now I pay the price,
When every night I cry.
