Night's Silver Kiss
Chapter5
I began to follow the men who were leading the girls away from their freedom through many streets until, finally, they stopped.
“Here we are ladies. And this is Fai Tsumaru, our boss.” A guy in a black suit and a large black hat looked up towards them.
*Gasp!* “I-It's him. It's Fai! I thought I killed him.” I said quietly making sure they didn't hear me. Fai, the son of Sukawa. The man who killed my family. I can never forget his face and how it closely resembles that of the wretch that slaughtered my family. *Looks like I didn't finish my job, Father…I will avenge your life and that of our family…* I thought to myself as I walked back into the darkness to plot against my foe.
I was told to assassinate a teenager for stealing a man's prostitution business once. I guess this is the he was talking about. Now I have a new mission: to kill Fai. Not only did he steal a business, but he also killed my family 6 years ago this day.
Just then, Tsumaru stepped into a car and left. This was my chance to surprise him. I quietly and stealthy climbed onto the roof and went through a window that lead to a storage room on the second floor. As I made my way across the room, I saw an open vent, and I thought I could sneak into Fai's room and wait in the shadows. As I made my way into an opening at the end, I heard movement and voices.
“Are you ok? Anything else you need, just ask.”
“I'm fine, and I will, thank you.” I saw that the voices belonged to two females in a dark room. One was an older woman in her mid-30's. The other was…just my age! Was she a prostitute working for Fai? Well, if she was, she looked like she didn't obey Fai because she was covered in bandages.
I began to think of a way to use the girl to my advantage. Of coarse I wouldn't hurt her; that was Fai's job. And it was my job to put an end to that. “I swear on the graves on my family that I will get revenge for what you've done…that I can promise…” I growled as I went back in time to the day that my family vanished from the face of the earth.
“Are you ready for death, Domo? Or shall I kill your wretch of a wife first?” Sukawa laughed as he snapped his pudgy fingers, which ordered his men to reveal my mother.
“Lisa!” my father began to run towards her but stopped dead in his tracks when he saw that Sukawa held a sword to her neck.
“I don't think it will be that easy…if you hand over the Knight Sword then I shall let her go. So what do you say, Domo?”
“What about my son? I will not give anything unless I see my son!”
“Ah, I see that you don't forget things very easily…how amusing…” and with that he snapped his fingers once more to reveal my little brother Elric, who was crying from fear.
“Daddy! Help me!” Elric's cries tore my heart in half.
“Elric! My son! Don't worry I shall save you!”
“HAHHAHAHAHAH! That's what you think! Hand over the sword and they shall be spared!” Sukawa grinned as he stood behind my mother and brother.
“Master Knight!” just then a familiar voice broke my concentration on my family and foes.
“Saka! Your alive!” I turned around to find my father's right hand man, Saka, entering through a secret door that my father made for an escape. The door would have worked if my foes hadn't covered it.
“Yes, I am alive young Master…but quickly! We must get out of here before they notice that you are hiding here! Your father has ordered me to guide you from danger.”
“No, Saka! I cant leave! Not now, not until my father is victorious!”
“I am sorry young Master, but we have no other choice…” just then he hit my neck which made me hit the ground as I was slowly loosing my vision. The last thing I saw was the slaughter of my mother and brother. The last thing I hear was the scream of my father as my eyes grew dim and with the figure of a young... man standing over my father's corpse?
I snapped out of my past and began to rethink who I saw standing over my father. I continued to wonder who it was but noticed that the young girl had fallen asleep. Soon, her peaceful breathing brought a peace of mind to me and I slowly found myself falling into rhythm with it. “I've never felt this peaceful in a long time…huh…this girl maybe more useful than I thought…” I whispered as I watched over her from my dark spot, plotting against Fai along as dreaming about the peaceful girl.
