Night's Silver Kiss
Chapter 6
My brothers. My mother. My father. All of them, confused and afraid. They don't know where I am, hot I am doing, nothing. *Don't worry. I won't be here for long, I promise…*
“Axel, are you awake?” a familiar voice broke my vision of my once happy family.
I snapped my eyes open. “M-Mom…” I whispered. I had hoped to find myself home, in my bed, in my room, with my family. I looked around the dark room and found it to be the same gloomy prison I was trapped in. And Fai had the only key.
“How are you doin'?” he asked plainly as he rinsed out a cloth in bowl filled with water that was near by and placed it on my forehead.
“I'm ok…” I didn't want to have a conversation with the man I despised. I looked down at my fragile body and found that I was only covered in bandages and only them. I was in our bed, no, in Fai's bed. My chest was wrapped in bandages where I remember that I was cut by Rosetta.
“Did…did you…bandage me?” I looked up at his plain face and found his bangs covering his right eye as always. His eyes were so lifeless, like he had no soul. And yet, he still has the will to live.
“Yes, I did…I don't want you getting' use to this…after your wounds have healed its back to work…oh, and you don't have to worry about Rosetta anymore…she has a different job now…” he said with an evil grin as he rose to his feet and slid the door open to step out. He stood outside for a couple of seconds before he decided to speak. “You won't have to worry anymore…I'll try to take better care of my pet…” and with that he slid the door close.
“Is everything alright, Lady Axel?” a warm voice filled my ears.
“Um, yes. Thank you Nana. Oh, but can you call me Jin when we're alone like this?” I smiled weakly.
“Yes, of course Lady Jin. If that is all, please excuse me.”
“Oh, wait, Nana.” The woman slid the door open again. “Do you know where Master Fai is?” I asked with a hence of fear.
“Oh, the Boss? I believe he is off the perimeters. Off on business I believe. Don't worry you're little head Lady Jin. I will advise you when he arrives.” She bowed and slid the door close to leave me once again to breath in the darkness of my loneliness.
“So, what's up with you?” I heard an unfamiliar voice appear behind me.
“W-Who's there?” I tried to look behind me but my body pulsed with pain at the thought of moving.
“Who me? Oh, you don't have to know my name. All you need to do is tell me what I want. I'll be sure to relieve you of your pain and suffering soon…” the voice said as the unknown entity put a sword to my throat.
