Chapter8

The young boy had a face. Though in a way made me think he had seen his share of death in the past. Or so he told me. He was just a young boy (or should I say young man, due to the fact that he's 18?) whose family was slaughtered right in front of him. I knew that this guy was trouble but who knew that he was the one with the problems?

“So…tell me who killed your parents….”I said as I felt him slowly tighten his embrace around me.

“My family was killed by Fai's father, Sukawa Tsumaru…I don't know if the bastard is still alive but if he is, I will take his life as well as that of Fai's…” I felt the rage of the boy's hatred inside his warm yet cold body.

“Fai's father is not alive anymore. He died some time ago and left his Silver Gang to Fai. So you should know now how Fai took over this city and the whorehouses.”

“Wait, if his father died, why didn't his mother do anything about Fai's rampage?”

“Fai hired men to assassinate his mother, in case if she wanted to kill him and make way with the fortune. I read it in the city's newspaper clipping that Fai has hung over his bed.”

“Fai killed his own mother?!” the boy eyes widen from hearing the gruesome fact.

“Yes, and he shed no tear for her shake…I would say because of his father…I mean, he did own a gang and was a powerful drug lord…it was only meant for Fai to follow in his father's footsteps…” I said in a sad voice filled with pity.

“Ya…I guess your right…”

“Wait a minute. Why are you here? I told you Fai isn't here so why are you still here?” the boy turned to face me and studied my reactions.

“What? I can't stay here? Look, I know its kinda dangerous staying at my foe's hideout, especially when I'm talking to one his whores. How do I know you're not going to rat me out to Fai? How do I know that you're not lying and he's watching and plotting my demise?” he cocked an eyebrow at me in a playful way.

“Well, how do I know your story is real? What if you killed your own family and that you want to take over this city and make me YOUR slave?” I shot back at him.

“Hahahah…I like you. You're a smart girl, Axel. I like your style…you know, I would totally like a mate like you.” He was still giggling from our argument to notice my face flush.

“Mate?! Whoa, whoa, whoa! What are you talking about?!” I felt my whole face redden.

“No, I didn't mean it like that, Axel. Just that if I could choose a mate I would choose one that has your qualities, is all.” He wiped a tear away from under his eyes from laughter.

“O-K…” I understood what he meant but the thought of him taking me in his arms and protecting me from Fai would be very romantic. Although that would be true, I quickly shook away the warm thought from head and continued the conversation. “Look…um…”

“Knight, call me Knight.” He bowed his head like a gentleman but grinned as he came up, as if a joke.

“Night, huh?”

“Lady Jin! Lady Jin! The Boss has returned!” Nana broke my peace with Night and threw me into a flying panic.

“Nana! Are you serious?! Stall him Nana, please!” I yelled as I jumped up with out feeling any pain what so ever and pulled Night up by his arm. “You havta get outa here, Night! Fai has come back and he will kill you with his men!” I forced him towards the window but he stopped and turned to face me.

“Wait, your name is Jin?”

“We don't have time for this! Please Night I don't want you to be killed! You're the only guy I wanna trust from now on! And you're the only one who made me laugh, who didn't just wanna be with me because of my body! I can't let the only person I like die!” I felt warm tears run down my cheeks.

“Axel…Jin…” Night stared at me with sorrowful eyes. “Come with me. Look, I wanna help you. I can keep you safe. You don't havta stay here anymore. Please come with me.” He held my quivering hands in his large ones.

“As strange as this may sound…” I looked down at our joined hands and held them against my tear-streamed face, “I can't come with you…” I let his land fall freely.

“What? Why? Don't tell me you like it here.”

“Look…your really nice…but I don't want you to be in danger…Fai is a very bad man…he could kill you with out even sullying his hands…and I know that he wont stop until he finds me…”

“I came here to finish something that I didn't finish a long time ago…and that is to kill Fai…I thought I killed him but I was wrong…its my fault you're here…that he's doing these things to you…let me help you…” just then, I felt something I've never felt before. Love. Love for a guy I didn't even know. However, I knew it would never be.

He reached for my wrist and pulled me close to his body. “W-Whaâ€•” I began but was stopped by his hand covering my mouth.

“Sshh…he's getting closer…” he whispered. “Fai is coming straight here…you have a choice now: come with me now or wait till I come again…which one do you choose?” he whispered into my ear and waited for my answer.

I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and told him. Told him what I wished to do. He nodded and was about to reply but he quickly jumped out of the window and into the darkness. *W-Why did he just…?* I thought when all of sudden I heard the door try to slid open but was kicked it when it wasn't able to unlock.

“A-A...uh…M-Master…” I turned in shock. *I thought Nana was going to warn me before got close to the room!* I thought as he walked closer to me with lust his eyes.

“I missed you my little pet…” he growled before he kissed me hard.

“Ah…M-Master…” I moaned in pain from him hugging my cutting body.

“Heheh…Oops…I forgot my little pet got in a little fight…sorry…but I do hope that we can do something tonight…” he growled low as he nuzzled my neck before walking off into the bathroom, leaving me to shake in fear.

“Hey…Jin…” I heard a small voice coming from the window. It was Night!

“W-What are you still doing here?!” I hissed as I looked over to the bathroom and to the window.

“Sorry…I just knew he was coming and I didn't want you to get in trouble for talking to an enemy…look, before I go I wanna tell you I will come back…to finish my unfinished job and my new assigned one…”

“Oh, and what might that be?” I cocked an eyebrow at him.

“To save and have you in my arms everyday from now till death due us part…” he grinned as he pulled himself up and placed a quick kiss on my lips before disappearing once again in the darkness.

“Hey, what are ya doin'?”

“Nothing Master…just looking at Night…” I knew Fai asked me the question but that was all I could say for it was the truth.

This night I could go to sleep with the hope to live return to my body. Thus with that, I had no fear of being left alone in the cold dark room. Because I now knew that Night would watch over me.
