It had been ten years after the final battle with Death. The war for the fate of the earth was never noticed by the humans, so they would never remember nor know of the sacrifice made that day. The Guardians of Earth, have long since retired and have gone on with their lives the best they could. The war, the pain, everything seemed like just a distant dream as ten years of peace had dulled their senses. They had grown fond of this peaceful time and their skills had since diminished, but they wouldn’t need their fighting skills again, in this era . . . until now.

“Holy Hell, what the fuck is that!” a citizen yelled as he was suddenly thrown aside by an enormous black creature twenty feet tall! More creatures like that one started to appear, each one seemingly larger than the next. Their claws tore into the ground and their arms toppled buildings over with ease. But these were the least scary things about these creatures, the things that caught most people’s attention were their glowing red eyes.

In that instant, Hell, literally broke loose all over the world as these strange creatures began destroying everything in their wake.

“Sir, I think you’re going to want to see this.” a nervous police officer said as he ran into his captain’s office.

“Heh, what is it this time?” a tired voice said from behind a big leather chair.

“Sir, things are attacking the city, but not just ours it’s all over the world!” the man exclaimed frantically.

“Aliens Brad, come on surely you can think of some better joke than that.” the man said as he turned around in his chair. Unlike everyone else wearing the familiar blue uniform, he was wearing white baggy pants, a tight black short sleeve shirt, and a black trench coat. His spiky black hair stood stiff as he ran his finger’s through his hair.

“Sir this is no joke turn on your t.v.” the officer replied.

“Fine whatever.” the man commented as he flicked on his t.v.

“What the Hell . . . ” the man said as he looked at the screen. His expression turned from one of laziness and amusement to one of grave misfortune. “This . . . this can’t be.”

“See sir, what do you want us to? The army’s sending out troops, but so far they haven’t been able to do a lot of good.” the officer replied.

“Of course, they’re not prepared for something like this.” the man said as he got out of his chair and looked up and the bronze plaque on the wall.

“Get everyone out there now. Protect as many innocents as you can, but avoid any direct conflict with these creatures if you can help it, understand.” the man said as he reached up to the bronze plaque and picked an enormous sword up from it. The officer looked amazed as the captain starred remorsefully at it. “I never thought it’d come to this.”

“Captain . . . ”

“I’ve got work to do.” the man said as he turned to leave. The other officer’s all took note in their captains new demeanor. He was usually laid back and quiet . . . but now it was as if an inner turmoil had resurfaced and the life in his eyes sparked for just a moment, but that spark was enough to get the fire in his soul burning. As he stepped outside into the cold night air, the rain began pelting him in face.

“Great . . . if things couldn’t get any worse.” the man said as he got onto his motorcycle. He reeved up the engine as he speeded out of the parking lot. He drove with one hand as he held his huge sword in his right hand.

If it’s come to this again . . . what does all this mean. He’s gone, so how can the demon’s come back? Not to mention they’re stronger and bigger than ever . . . and if normal people can see them now . . . This is going to be one Hell of a day!

At that instant a giant demon appeared out of nowhere in front of the man. The demon tried to slash at the man’s motorcycle but with a superhuman effort, the man launched him and his motorcycle high into the air by kicking the ground with his feet. The man’s eyes began to glow as his sword began charging full of energy.

“Chain Lightning Blast!” the man yelled as a lightning vortex erupted from his sword decimating the demon. The man landed his motorcycle back on the road and continued on to where he could see more demons’ in the distance.

Even if I have to go to the pits of Hell, I will make them pay for ever showing their faces again. It’s not right! Why do they get to come back when you don’t?
