"Ha finally" Lyle yelled.

" Wha.."Sasuka asked quizzically.

" I'm finally strong enough to beat Alex" Lyle said confidentally

" Ha that'll be the day" Ashley cried "Lyle I’m almost stronger than you. Do you honestly think you’d stand a chance against him?"

" No way as soon as he gets back with Jamie I'll battle him and win" Lyle said.

" Oh is that a fact" a voice said behind Lyle.

" Yeeeaaaahhh" Lyle said jumping"Alex you shouldn't sneak up on me like that"

"Okay first off, I live here now. Second off I wasn’t sneaking, I yelled to see if anyone was here or not. And by the way, you want to fight lets go practice" Alex said smiling. He then set down the bags of cat food he had bought for the group pet. And set down a little toy ball for it to play with. As soon as it heard Alex’s voice the little kitten came bounding in to the room.

“Hey Sunny, hey kitty. Here ya go, go play.” Alex said in a quite, mushy voice, as if he was talking to a baby. The kitten then rubbed against his leg, purred and started terrorizing his new toy.

" Hey" Jamie said hitting his arm playfully "let me come too I need to practice with my new weapon especially with the weather as bad as it is outside I need something to do".

" Okay lets all go" Alex said as they headed underground and Alex created an energy shield so they wouldn't hurt anyone.

" You guys ready give me all you got" Alex said.

" Hey how do you like my upgraded weapon" Lyle said as he showed them a large sword about the same size as Lyle. It’s handle was uniquely grafted to give the sword a natural tilt.

" Very nice" Sasuka said

" Okay lets go" Jamie said as she began attacking with her whip.

Lyle charged at Alex with a swift sword attack, aiming for Alex’s legs. Alex jumped over Lyle’s initial attack but immediately had to block an energy blast that came from Lyle’s sword. Alex came down quickly, blocking Lyle’s sword. Alex then shot an energy blast at Lyle which knocked him clear across the room. Lyle ricocheted off the wall and sent out an energy vortex towards Alex , who dodged it barely with lightning fast reflexes. Alex then teleported behind Lyle and hit him on the head with the handle of his sword and blasted him to the ground. Ashley then came at him with her metallic yo-yo weapons and unleashed all of them at Alex at one time in a combined attack with Sasuka launching energy cards with her. Alex used an energy blast to destroy Sasuka’s cards at then he let Ashley’s yo-yo’s wrap around his sword, he then used the strings of the yo-yo’s like a whip and launched her towards Sasuka. She collided with Sasuka knocking him off his feet and sent the hurling towards the ground. Jamie then came at him with her whip. Her attacks were like a blur to Alex as he concentrated all his efforts to dodging the sharp metal blades attached to her new found weapon. Finally Alex saw an a opening and launched an energy attack at her feet, he then jumped up and caught her in his arms and let down his shield.

" Okay, okay playtime’s over" Alex yelled as every one was getting up from the floor.

" I could have sworn I had you" Lyle complained

" Hey what’s this" Alex said

" Huh what’s up Alex" Jamie said

" Look at the news "Alex replied

" Huh what"Ashley asked

" We are suffering several environmental catastrophes earthquakes, lakes drying up, oceans overflowing, hurricanes and volcanoes erupting its all so bizarre" the reporter was saying

" Oh no" Jamie gasped " it can't be"

" Huh, that can't be good, the last time you sounded like that ,it was like the end of the world was coming”Alex said.

*Which come to think of it, it was actually almost the end of the world*" he thought.

" It's him" Jamie said

"It's him who whose him" he asked quizzically

" The Element alist he has the power to control the four elements..."Jamie said

" Earth, fire, water, air am I right" Alex cut in

"Yeah your right well lets get suited up" Jamie said wearily.

" Hey everybody get up here" Alex yelled

" Huh what is it" Sasuka shouted

" We got to go fight a demon. Let’s go come on," Ashley cried happily as she leaped up and grabbed Sasuka's hands.

" Okay we'll split up to look for any signs of where to find him," Alex said" Ashley you and Sasuka go together, Me and Jamie will go together, and..."

" Heh, what about me don't I get somebody" Lyle yelled

" No Mr. Hotshot you can go by yourself," Alex said as they walked out the door.

" Oh well fine then" Lyle said as he to left the house.

When Alex and everyone else left Jamie just about tripped walking and Alex hurried to catch her...then he asked “Whoa...Jamie are you alright”

“Y-yeah I’m fine just a little trip”

“Oy...ok”Alex said as he turned his head quickly and walked hurriedly.

“Sasuka have you noticed how strange Alex acts when he’s around me...I wonder why that is”Jamie asked.

“Jamie, Jamie, Jamie...if you don’t know why...geez trust me you need to find this one out on your own”Sasuka said as he hit his hand against his head dumbfounded that she was so blonde she couldn’t see that Alex cared about her.

" I'm so bored we've been searching forever and haven't found anything" Ashley exclaimed

" Have patience hopefully well find something soon and if not then I'll go get us a pizza how’s that sound" Sasuka said cheerfully

" Hey, that’s fine with me. Oh and also a chocolate bar. I’ve gotta have some chocolate." Ashley said

Suddenly a dimension hole opened up and carried them to a distant part of town and there standing in front of then was a giant!

" That must be him lets go Ashley" Sasuka said

"You don't have to tell me twice" Ashley said

" Fools do you think you can really even begin to match the extent of my power" He said and with a swipe of his hands pellets of ice rained down upon them.

" It's going to take a whole lot more than that to hurt us" Sasuka said, as he launched cards at the man but they didn't hurt him. The man the launched a huge boulder, aimed for the dodging form of Ashley who was trying in vain to hurt this monstrosity. Right before it hits her Sasuka throws himself in front of the rock and destroys it with a quick blast of energy.
“Watch yourself Ashley we can’t take him too lightly.” Sasuka said at that moment he was knocked backwards by a huge gust of wind. Before Ashley could do anything she was imprisoned in a wall of earth.

“Ha ha this was way too easy.” The Element alist commented.

“Don’t get too cocky. We haven’t begun to fight!” Sasuka said as he created a shield of energy to block the wind. Ashley at the same time consecrated a large amount of energy to destroy the wall of earth surrounding her. The two then launched themselves forward at the Element Alist. Ashley launched numerous energy attacks at him along with a twisting vortex of her Yo-yo’s and energy. Sasuka launched a large multitude of energized cards at the Element Alist. Before the smoke was able to clear Sasuka was sent flying backwards by a burning vortex of fire.

“Sasuka!” Ashley cried. Unfortunately for her while she was distracted the Element Alist created a reverse vortex around Ashley sucking the very air out of her lungs!

Sasuka was no better off for before he hit the ground he two slabs of earth on either side of him crashed into him slowly crushing him. At this time Ashley had just about passed out when the vortex ended and the Element Alist picked her up in his enormous hand.

“Ashley!” Sasuka weakly said. He summoned the remaining amount of his energy to break the vise like grip of the two slabs. Sasuka then, in blind rage, raced towards the Element Alist. Suddenly he was knocked backwards by a twisting vortex of earth. Sasuka was then encased in a vortex of wind. Slicing and tearing at his skin and clothes. Suddenly fire erupted in the vortex singeing him even worse. At this time Ashley was slowly regaining consciousness and what she saw horrified her.

“Sasuka!”

“Heh that’s what he gets for trying to play the hero.” the Element Alist stated with a laugh.

With Ashley’s surmounting rage she launched a powerful energy blast at the Element Alist’s head. This action caused him to halt the brutal assault on Sasuka, but it also turned his attention towards her.

“You little bitch.” the Element Alist said in a low tone. With an enormous amount of power he smashed her head into a wall with a sickening thud.

“Oh well...see you later hero.” The Element Alist mocked as a portal appeared behind him. He along with the limp form of Ashley entered the portal.

" Ashley no" He said weakly.

Meanwhile in another part of town...

" Man I can't wait to get home" Lyle said"This is so boring"

"Well maybe I an make it more entertaining for you" A voice said

"Where are you come out" Lyle said twirling around just in time to see a jagged electrical spike coming straight for his head!

" Whoa" Lyle said as he sliced it in half with his sword.

" Ah good but can you dodge these?" the voice said as more spikes rained down on Lyle.

" Ha I could dodge those without even trying hard" Lyle said .Then a mysterious figure stepped out wearing all brown clothing said" I am the servant of the Element alist my name is Ba'shaal now prepare to die!" He launched more spikes at Lyle and then jumped and punched him in the jaw.

" Your going to pay for that" Lyle said as he ran towards the wall back flipped over it and went to attack the guy from behind.

" Fool do not think that I am helpless because I have my back turned"He said and launched spikes out of his back! Lyle was moving too fast to dodge them and tried to slow down, but with incredible force they pierced him all over nailing him to the wall behind him.

" Aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" Lyle's scream pierced the air as he drifted into unconsciousness.

" I will now take you to my master"Ba'shaal said and stepped through the portal with the unconscious Lyle.

" Hey Jamo ,wait up" Alex said in gasps

" I told you not to call me that" she said as she slapped his arm.....HARD.

"AAAhhhh geeez Jamie I've gone up against Death and all his minions and traded punches with them, but none of them compare as how hard you hit me" Alex said while rubbing his arm, when suddenly Sasuka staggered up to them.

" H-help me please" he said weakly

"Sasuka are you okay" Jamie said as she went to him.

" I saw him the Element alist he got Ashley and I ran over by a speeding boulder." Sasuka said.

" Do you know where he went" Alex asked.

" No I think I need to lay down" Sasuka said keeling over with pain.

"Yeah you do. Alex will you help me. It sounds like he has several broken ribs." Jamie said.

"Huh oh yeah hold on, I'll get him. We'll take you home, come on," he said as he let Sasuka lean onto his shoulders.

A few hours later after they got home...

" Uh wher-where am I" Sasuka said as he finally woke up.

" Hey how you doing? Take it easy okay, your home with us" Jamie said as she smiled at him.

" Good have you located that guy yet Alex" Sasuka said noticing that Alex was trying to concentrate on his energy source.

" No not yet I've had trace amounts but from what I can tell he has Lyle too" he said grimly" Hmmmmm that’s an unusual reading".

" Huh what is it" Jamie said

" This I have an unusual energy reading it’s a lot like that of my energy reading but different " he said " why is that?"

" Okay let me put it to you like this okay, there are normal humans with normal energy, there are people like me and Sasuka with enhanced energy, and of course people like you and the Element alist who have different element." Jamie said

" Huh me and the Element alist have the same power" Alex said confused because even though he had been with them for a while he still didn't know that much about all the energy stuff.

"Alleycat let me put it simpler for you okay you have the element of light, Shadow had the element of darkness, and the element alist has the four basic elements okay." Jamie said coyly.

“Okay so why haven’t I encountered these things before?” Alex asked.

“Because they were supposedly wiped out about long ago. You see element alist completely disappeared from the world around 1700 B.C.. But about 100 years ago they suddenly returned. Then seven years ago all the Element Alist in the world launched a full blown attack on Death. They were all said to be wiped out.”

“So if one Element Alist could defeat you, Ashley, and Lyle. Then how strong is Death really if he could defeat every Element Alist?”

“That’s one mystery we’ll have to ponder another time.” Jamie said.

" yeah besides I think I get it...hey wait...I think I may have a lock on his energy source well let's go check it out."

" Alright, alright I'm coming" Sasuka said getting up.

In a back alley of town.

" Hey you wait up" Alex yelled

" Huh what do you want" the guy said

" I want to talk to you about some of my friends that went missing" he replied coldly.

" Hey I don’t know what your talking about man" He said backing away concealing his hands.

" What do you have in your hands" Alex asked suspiciously.

" You want it here" He said and launched electric spikes at Alex, who was able to dodge them as Jamie and Sasuka showed up.

" Hey looks like your having all the fun without us" Jamie said sarcastically as a spike imbedded into the wall next to her head. Suddenly Alex was sent flying backwards by a tremendous jolt of electricity that flew from the stranger’s hands.

“Alex you okay?” Jamie asked.

“Yeah, loads of fun. I wasn’t expecting that.” Alex replied.

“I take it he’s an element alist. Well looks like this might be a good fight after all.” Sasuka said as he turned to the stranger. “But believe me one way or another you will tell me where Ashley is.”


“Hah, fool do you think your meager power’s could compare to the power of lightning.” the man replied as he sent multitudes of lightning blasts towards the hero’s. Alex, Sasuka, and Jamie all scattered to avoid being crispy fried by the lightning bolts. Alex and Sasuka took cover under a building’s overhanging on the opposite side of the street. Jamie ducked behind a brick wall opposite of Sasuka and Alex. The electrically charged freak was floating in the air above them sending lightning blasts raining down upon Jamie’s hideout since he did not see where Alex and Sasuka went to. Without thinking Alex and Sasuka quickly launched a barrage of energy attacks at the man while his attention was focused on Jamie. Unfortunately all the attacks were deflected by an electrically charged shield. The man then turned his attention towards Alex and Sasuka evidently thinking that they were the bigger threat. Unfortunately for him, he thought wrong.

With a quick hand motion, Jamie signaled to the boys that she was in position. She quickly launched her whip, which wrapped around the man’s arm just as he was about to launch a very powerful energy attack at Alex and Sasuka. Her action caused his blast to be launched at a nearby building, but it since he wasn’t prepared for what happened it allowed Jamie to fling him onto the overhanging above Sasuka. Alex immediately teleported to deflect the energy attack away from any innocent people since he had been unable to erect a shield in time. Before the stranger could recover Sasuka launched a tremendous amount of energy at the overhanging decimating it and sending the now battered person high into the air. Before he could regain the upper hand in this battle Alex appeared behind him. With an energy filled punch he sent the man descending towards the earth. Alex followed quickly behind the man before he hit the ground Alex grabbed him by the neck and threw him towards a wall.

Alex suddenly disappeared and reappeared in front of the man. Alex grabbed him by the neck with a quick motion.

“There’s something you should know.” Alex said.

"What?" He asked.
"I don’t like being lied to," with that Alex threw the guy through the wall with incredible force.

"Oh now your going to pay for that. I was going to save my master the trouble of destroying you. But it looks like I’ll have to take you to him anyway. If you want your friends back Archangel, come with me." he said as he opened up a portal and leapt through it.

“Looks like we don’t have much choice but to follow him," Jamie yelled as they all entered the portal with him. When they arrived on the other side of the portal they were greeted by the Element alist and a girl with blue hair.

"Ah you have finally arrived now to finish what I have started" he said. “Now witness but a sample of my power!”

With that fire erupted from the ground. The molten lave began to take shape creating hundreds of burning, flaming, golem’s. The earth then split in two and from it large behemoths four times the size of the fire golem’s came forth. Then swirling vortex’s of wind created golem’s that were as fast as the winds themselves.

"Go now destroy them," The Element Alist commanded. The golems who are devoid of any soul and whose only purpose is to serve their master willfully obeyed.

“Shit, this is just great.” Alex said as he dodged a fireball launched by one of the flame golems. He flipped over one golem and quickly blasted into into nothing only to have it reform before his very eyes. No matter what he did everything he blasted came back!

All Sasuka could hit, quite literally as a matter of fact, was air! Every time he blasted a wind golem nothing happened. He was getting sliced and diced from all sides as the wind golems flew back and forth attacking him.

Jamie was fairing the same as the other two. Her whip decimated anything it touched but the earth golems kept rebuilding themselves.

Too make matters worse Alex suddenly realized that they were being pushed farther and farther away from each other. At this rate they would surely be defeated. The fire golems were getting way too close for comfort, and Alex had already been burnt a few times when he had carelessly let himself be hit.

“Sasuka, Jamie make your way towards me!” Alex yelled as he summoned his sword and quicky began dispatching the golems but even then they continued to regenerate.

Sasuka managed to get free of his golems if only long enough to regroup with Alex, by launching a large amount of energized cards at the wind golems blasting the back. With Alex and Sasuka together they were better able to fight back the golems.

Jamie decimated a golem next to her and smashed another to rubbles with an energized punch but still she was surrounded by the earth golems. With a quick motion however she back flipped over one and managed to escape the earth golems by running jumping from one earth golem to another. Before a fire golem was able to attack Alex from behind Jamie dispersed it with an energy blast.

“Thanks I owe you one, but now to give us some breathing room.” Alex said as suddenly his angel wings appeared and with an enormous shockwave of energy sent all the golems flying backwards.

“No matter what we do these golems will just keep coming back. We have to focus on the Element Alist.” Alex declared voicing everyone’s thoughts. Suddenly all the golems disappeared.

“Very well you did better than I expected.” the Element Alist exclaimed.

“Cut the crap Element Alist. Where are our friends.” Alex asked.

"Ha I sent Ba'shaal to kill them you can save them if you defeat us " he said and shoved the girl in front of him "now attack them."

" What? You have their friends. I thought you said that...” the girl stuttered.

“Shut up! Just destroy them already” the Element Alist exclaimed.

“No. Not until you tell me what’s going on. Did you really capture their friends?”

“Yes he did. He captured to of our friends. That’s why we’re here. We have to quarrel with you, we just want our friends back.” Jamie said.

“ There lying. It’s right I did capture their friends, but that was just to draw them to us. Now we have the upper hand. You know who they work for and you know we can’t let him gain power again.” the Element Alist said.

“Your right brother. I’m sorry but if you align yourself with the Angel of Death then I must vanquish you!” the girl exclaimed as energy erupted from her.

“WHAT! you think we work for Death. You must be off your rocker.” Jamie said.

“Don’t you know who he is? He’s the Archangel the one who is supposed to defeat Death. Why in the hell would he work for him.” Sasuka said trying to calm the girl.

“No way my brother wouldn’t lie to me. You must work for him.”

With that the girl launched an enormous energy attack at the group of heros. Alex deflected the attack with ease.

“What’s wrong. Why aren’t you using your rue power on them.” the Element Alist asked. “ Don’t tell me you really believe these fools.”

“Heh, let me ask you something. Would someone working for Death have these?” Alex said as he revealed his wings to the girl. “I am the Archangel and your brother has kid napped two of our friends knowing full well my true identity. If anyone’s working for Death it’s him.”

“Huh, my brother.”

“Shut up you wretched pest. I was hoping not to have to interfere. But my master would be greatly displeased if I failed so now I must destroy you!” the Element Alist exclaimed as the golems reappeared and he launched several fireballs at the hero’s.

“Brother you lied to me! Even worse you aligned yourself with Death. Have you also soled your soul to him as well?”

“We shall see. But for now if your not with we, then your against me dear sister.” the Element Alist said. With a sudden gust of wind he launched her backwards into a earth golem. The golem was about to crush her when it was vaporized by Alex. Who ran to her aid.

“My brother is strong, but you must stop him.” the girl said.

" That’s all right we'll take care of him.” Jamie said

" Yeah let's go" Sasuka said

For our hero’s on the upper part of the realm the battle was nearing it’s end, but for Lyle and Ashley the terror’s were only beginning.
