“By now the deed has been done. And we are officially free again.” War said with a hearty laugh.
“Yes, no one has ever lasted this long before while under the influence of the mask.” Plague agreed.
“True, but this one’s will is strong.” Famine snapped.
“Comrades, no fear. No one not even the Archangel will survive while under the illusion of my Mask. It is unbeatable, the only way to get it off is if you have enough power to break it’s spell. And with Plague blinding him and making him deaf it’s impossible to even tell it’s on. My mask makes him see and hear his worst fears come true.” Azrael said with an evil laugh.
“You monster. Alex wouldn’t kill himself no matter what you do to him.” Jamie yelled at Azrael. Her, along with Sasuka, Sara, and Ashley had all been paralyzed by Plague.
“Hah, not even if he saw you my dear, dead at the hands of his own sword.” Azrael countered. “By now he’s seen all of your dead bodies. So what else does he have to live for?”
“Alex...” Jamie said quietly. “You monsters how could you do that to him. After everything he’s been thru already. And just now when he’s finally beginning to recover from past wounds you make him live out his greatest fear! Alex will break your spell and when he does I can’t wait to see you defeated!”
“Heh, she’s right. Never underestimate Alex, doing so has lead to the defeat of numerous enemies.” Sasuka added with a slight chuckle. Unknown to them Sasuka had secretly figured out how to break Plagues paralysis and was slowly beginning to regain control of his body.
“Pretty strong words for people who are helpless right now.” War said as he picked up his sword.
“Eh go ahead, there of no use to us.” Azrael said as he turned around to leave.
“Heh fun fun fun.” War exclaimed as he headed towards Jamie first. Sasuka could sense his energy, which was a good thing otherwise he would have been completely helpless. When War got close Sasuka knocked his feet out from under him with a quick kick. Sasuka then flipped up and sent War flying backwards with a strong gust of wind. Plague and Famine quickly got up ready to fight but were unable to move due to the ground beneath them sinking in grabbing hold of their legs. Luckily Plagues control over them had loosened enough for everyone else to break free. Sara then immediately launched herself towards Famine. Her energy still wasn’t at its fullest because of Famine so she saved her energy and just sent him flying with her staff. Ashley sent Plague flying with a sonic blasts that kept him pinned to the wall. Famine managed to twist around and elbow Sara in the back which knocked her into the wall. Famine then grabbed hold of Sasuka and started sucking the energy out of him.
Before Sara could help him War came between her and Sasuka. War powerfully swung his giant sword which shattered the wall behind Sara. Sara was lucky enough to dodge the attack by creating a thin film of ice on the ground and slide along it. Sara then flipped up and nailed War with numerous attacks with her stuff. Unfortunately none of them did anything. War simply shrugged them off and sent Sara flying with gust of energy.
Ashley and Jamie were doing extremely well against Plague. Jamie was keeping him from moving by keeping his feet pinned to the ground while Ashley attacked him.
War was slowly advancing on Sara, who by this time was almost out of energy. Sara knew that she couldn’t beat him alone and also knew that she had to help Sasuka, so she with the little energy she had left she launched her staff at Famine. Which by luck pierced thru his thigh.
“Ahh. You little brat.” Famine said while still absorbing energy from Sasuka. Sara only smiled a weak smile as the last bit of her energy ebbed out of her. When Famine looked back at the severally weakened Sasuka he noticed a small smile on his face.
“What are you grinning about?” Famine asked not really expecting an answer.
“Heh, just your stupidity.” Sasuka replied as he pointed towards Famine’s leg.
“Why y-“ Famine didn’t finish his sentence as he realized what had happened. His entire body from the chest down had turned into ice! Sara had put the last bit of her energy into her staff which caused Famine to slowly turn into ice from the inside out.
“No Way!” Famine said.
“Hey, why don’t you suck on this for awhile” Sasuka said as he showed Famine his energy card.
“Ah Fuck..” Famine said as Sasuka threw it against Famine. With a bright flash Famine disappeared and Sasuka hit the floor withered and out of energy. Almost instantly however, he felt fine. Sara to got up quickly and headed towards him.
“Well that was a nice surprise. Looks like when we killed him our stolen energy was returned.” Sasuka said noting that they only had a few seconds to catch their breathe before the stunned War would continue his rampage.
Ashley and Jamie were withering down Plagues defenses and just when victory was assured they were suddenly tossed backwards by a huge force.
“You imprudent fools. I leave for a few seconds and all Hell breaks loose.” the voice of Azrael was sharp and full of anger. “Not too mention that now Famine’s been sealed away again.”
“Don’t worry Azrael you’ll be soon to join him.” Sasuka said, instantly regretting his words as Azrael shot dark spikes at Sasuka piercing his flesh and pinning him to a wall.
“Aaah” Sasuka yelled in great pain.
Before any of the other hero’s could do anything Azrael sent a huge vortex of energy which dispersed them quickly.
“Now, Plague could you please...never mind I’ll just kill them myself.” Azrael said as he turned to face them.
“AZRAEL!” a voice boomed from behind them.
“Alex.” Ashley said in joy. It wasn’t until they saw that the mask was still on him that began to worry.
“Ah Archangel. Did you like the presents we left for you?” Azrael said with a smirk. He looked in Jamie’s and the other’s direction with an all knowing look.
“Alex, he’s lying we’re right here!” Jamie yelled.
“Heh it’s no use trying. He’s blind and deaf thanks to Plague. He can only hear and see what Azrael wants him too.” Sasuka said in gasps thru the pain. “ If only there was some way we could get him to realize the mask was on him.”
“Azrael I’m going to make you pay for all that you’ve done. I don’t care anymore wether or not you kill me, but I’m going to make damn sure if I die, I’m taking you with me.” Alex said as he quickly flew towards Azrael sword readied.
“Fine then, since you wouldn’t kill yourself I’ll do it for you!” Azrael declared. “Veil of Death!”
Right before Alex was in striking distance the dark veil covered him and he immediately began to feel its icy effects.
*No not again. I’ve got to fight it.*
Jamie covered her ears to try to block out Alex’s screams of pain and agony. With War and Plague guarding them they couldn’t even help Alex.
“Alex please don’t die” Jamie said as tears rolled down her cheek. Ashley and Sara were saying the same silent plea themselves. Sasuka knew the odds weren’t in their favor but also he knew that this wouldn’t be the first time Alex has pulled off a mircale.
*Come on Alex we’re all counting on you.* Sasuka thought.
Even though it’d only been about 30 seconds under the veil to Alex it felt like an eternity. He could barely breathe anymore and he could veil his death starting to claim him.
*After all this, after all the Hell I’ve been thru and seen today. I’m going to die. I wanted to die though, I still want to so bad. But what would my friends think of me if I le them down. But the pains too great I can’t stand it much longer. Jamie, Sasuka, Ashley, Sara...Lyle, I’m sorry.* Alex thought as he finally let the darkness slowly consume him.
“Heh it’s finished.” Azrael declared with a smirk.
“Nooo Alex!” Jamie yelled.
“Alex come on man NO!” Sasuka shouted.
“Alex” was all Sara could say thru the tears.
“He can’t be dead. There’s no way.” Ashley said still in shock.
“Finally, I’ve ended this.” Azrael said as he turned around to look at his prisoners. Before he could say anything he suddenly turned around to look back at his veil. Thru the veil started pulsing faster and faster growing steadily bigger with each pulse until finally...the veil was destroyed. Admits the smoke the the glowing form of Alex could be seen.
“There’s something I finally realized Azrael. Where there is darkness there must also be light. Just as where there is death there must also be life.” Alex said with a new found power. Jamie was the first to spot the tiny rip in Alex’s mask.
Before Azrael could react Alex sent him flying with a powerful energy attack. Azrael was barely affected by the attack and summoned his scythe to him. He then quickly launched several attacks at Alex, who was still filled with rage was able to easily dodge all the attacks. Alex then knocked the breath out of Azrael and then sent him flying backwards with an energy blast.
Plague at this time had snuck up behind Alex and was readying his arrows for another strike on Alex. Sasuka and Jamie launched themselves at Plague but were quickly thrown backwards by War who backhanded them both towards the wall.
Ashley and Sara launched a combo attack at Plague but War again managed to block their attack and send them flying as well.
“Shit!” Sasuka yelled as War charged him and began mercilessly pounding Sasuka into a wall. Even though Sasuka could sense War’s energy he still wasn’t good enough to dodge the attacks.
“Alex behind you!” Jamie yelled even though she knew it was futile. However, right before Plague launched the arrows Alex quickly turned around and sliced his bow in half!
At that instant Ashley’s boils disappeared along with Sasuka’s blindness.
*Heh, I can see again* Sasuka thought *And just in time too* For right as his vision reappeared he saw War’s gigantic fist coming straight for his head. Sasuka easily dodged the attack this time and and sent a mini hurricane aimed for War’s gut. The wind knocked war backwards and gave Sasuka the edge. When War hit the ground the earth swallowed his arms and legs! It took all Jamie had to hold the brute down.
Sasuka then took the intuitive and launched a rain of energy cards at War. Ashley and Sara combined their energy and launched a massive ball of energy right after Sasuka. The combined explosion rocked the earth leaving a crater where War was.
“Did we get him?” Jamie asked.
“Heh not hardly” Sasuka said as he saw the battered form of War. War now discarded all his armor and picked up his sword.
“Something tells me this is just the beginning.” Sara said as she created a shield of ice to protect her from War’s attack. The wall shattered like glass and the force sent Sara flying.”
“Very nice Archangel. I like that emotion I see. Such anger, such rage, such evil!” Azrael said. With those words Alex’s wings erupted, their light blinding every one there. When the light decreased Alex’s wings were now swirling with fire. Even thru the mask Sasuka could see the fire erupting from his eyes.
“Your right I am angry. And believe me you will fill my wrath. I will make you pay for what you did!” Alex yelled as his energy erupting from his body the combined fire and excess energy incinerated Plague who was behind Alex, leaving nothing but ashes.
“Yes, go Alex” Ashley said, she then quickly dodged an incoming attack by War.
War launched a powerful vortex of energy which sent the Sasuka and Ashley flying. War easily blocked Jamie’s whip with his wrist, he then grabbed her whip and swung her into Sara.
Sasuka flipped out of the way of War’s sword. He then flipped over the blade putting him within inches of War’s chest. Sasuka quickly summoned a large amount of energy into his right pointer and middle fingers. Before War could react Sasuka struck five different points on War’s chest. War tried to grab Sasuka but Jamie commanded the earth to hold his hands. Sara then quickly ran towards War and punched him hard in the spine.
“Wha-“ was all War could say.
“If I were you I wouldn’t make any sudden movements. Because I just turned your spine to ice.” Sara declared venomously.
Sasuka then flipped backwards quickly, he had used up all his energy setting up the five points. Ashley then ran towards War and nailed him in the chest with a powerful energy blast.
“Heh, you really think that hurt?” War said. “Wha....aaaahh”
On War’s chest a pentagram slowly formed. The five points that Sasuka struck began to glow and lines spread forth from them forming a glowing pentagram.
“Now Final Art Pentagram Execution” Sasuka yelled as the pentagram glowed brighter. War’s chest erupted from the pentagram killing him instantly.
“Well that was fun.” Ashley commented.
“Heh no kidding.” Sara said.
“Wait were’s Alex?” Jamie asked.
Alex and Azrael were fighting about 100 feet off the ground. Their moves were nothing but a blur. Azrael now countered every one of Alex’s attacks with mock amusement.
“Please you were lucky earlier but at your current state there’s no beating me.” Azrael said he slashed Alex across the chest with his scythe and sent Alex hurling towards the ground with a powerful energy attack.
By this time Jamie and the others were outside. Before Alex hit the ground the Jamie caught him in a soft patch of dirt.
“Alex are you okay?” Jamie asked, in the chaos she forgot about the mask.
“Jamie he still can’t hear you. We’ve got to get that mask off.” Sasuka said. As he reached for the mask a strong energy field blasted him backwards.
“No no no. Only I or Alex can take it off.” Azrael said. “And with the beating he’s been taking I’d be surprised if he could even get up.”
“Alex..” Jamie said as a tear rolled down her cheek as she cradled Alex’s unconscious body in her arms.
*It’s not fair. After all the pain and death you’ve seen, for those monsters to create such a cruel reality for you. You were just beginning to trust people again, and almost had recovered from losing Lyle. Just when things were turning for the better. I will never forgive them for what they’ve done to you.*
With that Jamie laid Alex down and got up in a furious rage.
“Azrael I’m going to make you pay for hurting Alex like this.” Jamie said.
“Heh, I don’t know who’s worse. Jamie or Alex.” Sasuka said “But she’s right Azrael you’ve messed with us and you’ve messed with Alex now your going to pay.
“We’re with ya Sasuka.” Ashley said. Sara nodded in agreement.
“Heh, fine then it’s your death.” Azrael said. His scythe disappeared and he removed the black glove from his right hand.
“But just to let you know this fight won’t last long. But be glad I’m going to kill you with my strongest attack.”
“Heh really, what is this ultimate attack of yours?” Jamie asked still enraged.
“Simple my dear. The Touch of Death.” Azrael said as he got an evil look on his face an dove towards Jamie.
“Jamie watch out this guys not joking! If he touches you there’s no coming back. It’s an instant kill.” Sasuka yelled in warning. Jamie tried to dodge but couldn’t evade him. Right before his hand touched her someone grabbed Jamie and teleported her out of harms way. Azrael turned around quickly to see what had happened. What he saw was angel wings made out of fire covering Alex’s friends.
“No Azrael. You won’t lay your filthy hands on them. I’ve had to bury my friends once today and I’ll be damned if I have to do it again.” Alex said as he turned around. Azrael looked into Alex’s eyes...no into the eyes of the Archangel burning with rage. Alex had broken free of Azrael’s spell.
“How did you manage to get free of my mask?” Azrael asked anger showing in his voice.
“The tears of someone you love, are 100 times stronger than your mask.” Alex said as he wiped Jamie’s tear from his face. “By the way Azrael if you think I was pissed when I thought you had killed my friends, you should see me now.”
With that Alex’s wings doubled in size causing him to have an even more ominous look to him. Alex quickly flew towards Azrael and punched him with such force it sounded like he broke Azrael’s jaw. Before Azrael could recover Alex engulfed him in an enormous ball of fire. Azrael was then pummeled by a rain of energy blasts.
Azrael managed to get up from the assault right as Alex came in for another punch this time however Azrael was ready for him. Azrael disappeared in a cloud of smoke and then reappeared and clothes lined Alex. Azrael then picked Alex up with his left hand slowly rose into the air.
“I finally have you Archangel. Now you die!” Azrael said as he was about to touch Alex with his right hand.
“Heh, you and Death are exactly alike.” Alex said.
“What do you mean comparing me to him.”
“Simple for one you both talk too long, if you going to kill me do it don’t hesitate” Alex said “Or else something bad might happen to you.”
With that Alex back flipped and sent Azrael flying backwards.
“You cannot defeat me. You know that and so do I.” Azrael declared.
“You know what your right. At my current level I wouldn’t stand more than a few minutes with you.” Alex admitted.
“Alex what the hell are you doing?” Sasuka exclaimed.
“Alex have you lost your mind.” Ashley echoed.
“For crying out loud Alex you had him why did you stop?” Sara questioned.
“Alex you idiot!” Jamie yelled.
“Heh you see even the mighty Archangel admits he cannot defeat the true Angel of Death.” Azrael said.
“Your right, but with this I don’t have to.” Alex said as he showed Azrael his necklace.
“What, how in the world did you get that.” Azrael exclaimed as he checked his neck. Sure enough the necklace was gone.
“The first time we fought didn’t you find it odd how easily I was beaten. I allowed you to beat me so I could get close enough to you. When you held me up by my neck I grabbed my necklace back. And you know what that means.” Alex said as the cross began to glow.
“NO!” Azrael exclaimed.
“See ya!” Alex said. “With the power of the Archangel I seal you Angel of Death. Until the time you are called back by God you and your powers shall remain dormant.”
“I’ll make you pay for this!” Azrael said as he slowly faded away.
“Way too go man.” Sasuka said as Alex descended. Alex immediately began healing everyone’s wounds without looking at them.
“Alex are you okay?” Jamie asked.
“Yeah I’m fine” Alex said as he looked up smiling. “Now let’s get home”
No one admitted that they saw Alex’s tears when he looked up at them but they all knew they were there. At the time they were just glad to be alive and glad to have their friends with them.
“The time has finally come. The board has been set, all the pawns have been removed. Now it’s time for the final showdown between the two kings for the fate of the Earth!” Death said with an evil laugh.
Well talk about an emotional, nerve wrecking day. Alex see’s everything he ever cared about destroyed only to find out it was an illusion. Not to mention to find out that the battle against Death is more than just a personal grudge the fate of humanity rest on them, in more than one way. Finding out all that he has, how will this change his opinion next time he faces Death. What was Death referring to by the pawns and kings? Find out next time on PROPHECY!

“There’s something I finally realized Azrael. Where there is darkness there must also be light. Just as where there is death there must also be life.” Alex said with a new found power. Jamie was the first to spot the tiny rip in Alex’s mask.
Before Azrael could react Alex sent him flying with a powerful energy attack. Azrael was barely affected by the attack and summoned his scythe to him. He then quickly launched several attacks at Alex, who was still filled with rage was able to easily dodge all the attacks. Alex then knocked the breath out of Azrael and then sent him flying backwards with an energy blast.
Plague at this time had snuck up behind Alex and was readying his arrows for another strike on Alex. Sasuka and Jamie launched themselves at Plague but were quickly thrown backwards by War who backhanded them both towards the wall.
Ashley and Sara launched a combo attack at Plague but War again managed to block their attack and send them flying as well.
“Shit!” Sasuka yelled as War charged him and began mercilessly pounding Sasuka into a wall. Even though Sasuka could sense War’s energy he still wasn’t good enough to dodge the attacks.
“Alex behind you!” Jamie yelled even though she knew it was futile. However, right before Plague launched the arrows Alex quickly turned around and sliced his bow in half!
At that instant Ashley’s boils disappeared along with Sasuka’s blindness.
*Heh, I can see again* Sasuka thought *And just in time too* For right as his vision reappeared he saw War’s gigantic fist coming straight for his head. Sasuka easily dodged the attack this time and and sent a mini hurricane aimed for War’s gut. The wind knocked war backwards and gave Sasuka the edge. When War hit the ground the earth swallowed his arms and legs! It took all Jamie had to hold the brute down.
Sasuka then took the intuitive and launched a rain of energy cards at War. Ashley and Sara combined their energy and launched a massive ball of energy right after Sasuka. The combined explosion rocked the earth leaving a crater where War was.
“Did we get him?” Jamie asked.
“Heh not hardly” Sasuka said as he saw the battered form of War. War now discarded all his armor and picked up his sword.
“Something tells me this is just the beginning.” Sara said as she created a shield of ice to protect her from War’s attack. The wall shattered like glass and the force sent Sara flying.”
“Very nice Archangel. I like that emotion I see. Such anger, such rage, such evil!” Azrael said. With those words Alex’s wings erupted, their light blinding every one there. When the light decreased Alex’s wings were now swirling with fire. Even thru the mask Sasuka could see the fire erupting from his eyes.
“Your right I am angry. And believe me you will fill my wrath. I will make you pay for what you did!” Alex yelled as his energy erupting from his body the combined fire and excess energy incinerated Plague who was behind Alex, leaving nothing but ashes.
“Yes, go Alex” Ashley said, she then quickly dodged an incoming attack by War.
War launched a powerful vortex of energy which sent the Sasuka and Ashley flying. War easily blocked Jamie’s whip with his wrist, he then grabbed her whip and swung her into Sara.
Sasuka flipped out of the way of War’s sword. He then flipped over the blade putting him within inches of War’s chest. Sasuka quickly summoned a large amount of energy into his right pointer and middle fingers. Before War could react Sasuka struck five different points on War’s chest. War tried to grab Sasuka but Jamie commanded the earth to hold his hands. Sara then quickly ran towards War and punched him hard in the spine.
“Wha-“ was all War could say.
“If I were you I wouldn’t make any sudden movements. Because I just turned your spine to ice.” Sara declared venomously.
Sasuka then flipped backwards quickly, he had used up all his energy setting up the five points. Ashley then ran towards War and nailed him in the chest with a powerful energy blast.
“Heh, you really think that hurt?” War said. “Wha....aaaahh”
On War’s chest a pentagram slowly formed. The five points that Sasuka struck began to glow and lines spread forth from them forming a glowing pentagram.
“Now Final Art Pentagram Execution” Sasuka yelled as the pentagram glowed brighter. War’s chest erupted from the pentagram killing him instantly.
“Well that was fun.” Ashley commented.
“Heh no kidding.” Sara said.
“Wait were’s Alex?” Jamie asked.
Alex and Azrael were fighting about 100 feet off the ground. Their moves were nothing but a blur. Azrael now countered every one of Alex’s attacks with mock amusement.
“Please you were lucky earlier but at your current state there’s no beating me.” Azrael said he slashed Alex across the chest with his scythe and sent Alex hurling towards the ground with a powerful energy attack.
By this time Jamie and the others were outside. Before Alex hit the ground the Jamie caught him in a soft patch of dirt.
“Alex are you okay?” Jamie asked, in the chaos she forgot about the mask.
“Jamie he still can’t hear you. We’ve got to get that mask off.” Sasuka said. As he reached for the mask a strong energy field blasted him backwards.
“No no no. Only I or Alex can take it off.” Azrael said. “And with the beating he’s been taking I’d be surprised if he could even get up.”
“Alex..” Jamie said as a tear rolled down her cheek as she cradled Alex’s unconscious body in her arms.
*It’s not fair. After all the pain and death you’ve seen, for those monsters to create such a cruel reality for you. You were just beginning to trust people again, and almost had recovered from losing Lyle. Just when things were turning for the better. I will never forgive them for what they’ve done to you.*
With that Jamie laid Alex down and got up in a furious rage.
“Azrael I’m going to make you pay for hurting Alex like this.” Jamie said.
“Heh, I don’t know who’s worse. Jamie or Alex.” Sasuka said “But she’s right Azrael you’ve messed with us and you’ve messed with Alex now your going to pay.
“We’re with ya Sasuka.” Ashley said. Sara nodded in agreement.
“Heh, fine then it’s your death.” Azrael said. His scythe disappeared and he removed the black glove from his right hand.
“But just to let you know this fight won’t last long. But be glad I’m going to kill you with my strongest attack.”
“Heh really, what is this ultimate attack of yours?” Jamie asked still enraged.
“Simple my dear. The Touch of Death.” Azrael said as he got an evil look on his face an dove towards Jamie.
“Jamie watch out this guys not joking! If he touches you there’s no coming back. It’s an instant kill.” Sasuka yelled in warning. Jamie tried to dodge but couldn’t evade him. Right before his hand touched her someone grabbed Jamie and teleported her out of harms way. Azrael turned around quickly to see what had happened. What he saw was angel wings made out of fire covering Alex’s friends.
“No Azrael. You won’t lay your filthy hands on them. I’ve had to bury my friends once today and I’ll be damned if I have to do it again.” Alex said as he turned around. Azrael looked into Alex’s eyes...no into the eyes of the Archangel burning with rage. Alex had broken free of Azrael’s spell.
“How did you manage to get free of my mask?” Azrael asked anger showing in his voice.
“The tears of someone you love, are 100 times stronger than your mask.” Alex said as he wiped Jamie’s tear from his face. “By the way Azrael if you think I was pissed when I thought you had killed my friends, you should see me now.”
With that Alex’s wings doubled in size causing him to have an even more ominous look to him. Alex quickly flew towards Azrael and punched him with such force it sounded like he broke Azrael’s jaw. Before Azrael could recover Alex engulfed him in an enormous ball of fire. Azrael was then pummeled by a rain of energy blasts.
Azrael managed to get up from the assault right as Alex came in for another punch this time however Azrael was ready for him. Azrael disappeared in a cloud of smoke and then reappeared and clothes lined Alex. Azrael then picked Alex up with his left hand slowly rose into the air.
“I finally have you Archangel. Now you die!” Azrael said as he was about to touch Alex with his right hand.
“Heh, you and Death are exactly alike.” Alex said.
“What do you mean comparing me to him.”
“Simple for one you both talk too long, if you going to kill me do it don’t hesitate” Alex said “Or else something bad might happen to you.”
With that Alex back flipped and sent Azrael flying backwards.
“You cannot defeat me. You know that and so do I.” Azrael declared.
“You know what your right. At my current level I wouldn’t stand more than a few minutes with you.” Alex admitted.
“Alex what the hell are you doing?” Sasuka exclaimed.
“Alex have you lost your mind.” Ashley echoed.
“For crying out loud Alex you had him why did you stop?” Sara questioned.
“Alex you idiot!” Jamie yelled.
“Heh you see even the mighty Archangel admits he cannot defeat the true Angel of Death.” Azrael said.
“Your right, but with this I don’t have to.” Alex said as he showed Azrael his necklace.
“What, how in the world did you get that.” Azrael exclaimed as he checked his neck. Sure enough the necklace was gone.
“The first time we fought didn’t you find it odd how easily I was beaten. I allowed you to beat me so I could get close enough to you. When you held me up by my neck I grabbed my necklace back. And you know what that means.” Alex said as the cross began to glow.
“NO!” Azrael exclaimed.
“See ya!” Alex said. “With the power of the Archangel I seal you Angel of Death. Until the time you are called back by God you and your powers shall remain dormant.”
“I’ll make you pay for this!” Azrael said as he slowly faded away.
“Way too go man.” Sasuka said as Alex descended. Alex immediately began healing everyone’s wounds without looking at them.
“Alex are you okay?” Jamie asked.
“Yeah I’m fine” Alex said as he looked up smiling. “Now let’s get home”
No one admitted that they saw Alex’s tears when he looked up at them but they all knew they were there. At the time they were just glad to be alive and glad to have their friends with them.
“The time has finally come. The board has been set, all the pawns have been removed. Now it’s time for the final showdown between the two kings for the fate of the Earth!” Death said with an evil laugh.
Well talk about an emotional, nerve wrecking day. Alex see’s everything he ever cared about destroyed only to find out it was an illusion. Not to mention to find out that the battle against Death is more than just a personal grudge the fate of humanity rest on them, in more than one way. Finding out all that he has, how will this change his opinion next time he faces Death. What was Death referring to by the pawns and kings? Find out next time on PROPHECY!
