The stars shone above her, brighter than anywhere else on the planet. The sand was soft under her feet and the shallow waters were warm. The waves rolled up slowly to meet her before retreating into the sea again. A light breeze blew in from the black seas, caressing her skin, moving gracefully through her hair. She lifted her gaze to the skies, lost in the depths of the undefined constellations. The stars reflected in her eyes, as if space itself continued in her.

He stood inside the safety of the trees, watching her from afar. She hadn't moved for the past hour or more and he wondered lightly if she had turned to stone. Only when she moved her head to gaze up at the sky did he decide to make his own presence known. Stepping out of the shadows he kept a slow but steady pace towards Atsumi. He came up next to her and looked out into the empty waters. He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye as she lowered her head and looked towards him. Her eyes flashed in the night and for a moment she reassembled the predator she was, if only locked deep within. He could smell the blood on her lips and his fangs became elongated at the thought of the coppery substance. His whole body quaked with excitement and he turned to face her completely.

"Control yourself fledgling. It was not worth what I did to get it." She glared down at him with her soulless black eyes.

"But you enjoyed it didn't you? The warmth of his blood as it slid down your throat. You liked it, not being in control." He smirked at her, his eyes alight with hunger.

She reached forward and grasped his throat in her hand. His eyes widened for a moment before giving her a glare of his own. His feet no longer touched the ground as she pulled him forward. He could see her fangs clearly; she had no intention of leaving him here alive. She watched him closely as he fought with himself. If he tried to escape her grasp, she would surely kill him; but if he remained, she may just watch him die anyway. As the world around him began to fade he felt her grip loosen and he slipped to the ground in a small heap. He rubbed his throat and stood once again, this time he shifted his gaze elsewhere.

"Follow me." His voice was hoarse, devoid of emotion.
