Shadow destiny
young man, the age of seventeen, sit upon the shores of Lake Hylia, gazing out upon the water. He began whistling a simple tune as he sat there. The music known as the Prelude to Light. As the warrior man opened his eyes, two orbs of crimson became visible to the light of the lake. Upon his back lay a dark black shield.. no engravings of any kind on it, but, resembling the Mirror Shield, as well as a black version of the Master Sword, known as the Shadow Saber. The boy's light skin had the hint of a tan, making him a little darker than the boy known as "Link." He had the same hair style and color, though, and his odd Crimson eyes. It was funny. This man who sat here was also Link. But.. he was supposed to be the evil one. But.. he actually loved to uphold peace as much as the Hero of Time.
still whistling the Prelude to Light, the young man began walking from Lake Hylia, and found his way to Hyrule Field. He looked around and then pulled something from his satchel. It was a bottle of water. He drank it slowly as he looked up to the setting sun. It was a beautiful day.. but, he preferred what was coming, the night. He was, after all.. the evil Link here. Shaking his head to that thought, Dark Link let his eyes look to where the sun left and the moon had come. It was beautiful.. a full moon. But, as Link thought, he continued walking, and, soon found himself at Kakariko Village. It would be fine going there..no one would be out tonight, they wouldn't bother him. "You haven't been here in years, Link.." a voice said from atop a building in the village.
Link instantly pulled the Shadow Saber from his back, into his right hand, his shield into his left. After all.. he was like a mirror Link.. so, he was right handed while the other Link was left. "Who are you!?" Link yells, turning his vision up to see a young girl, his age, sitting atop the building. Her face hidden, but she was dressed in a Sheikah outfit. "A Sheikah? I thought all of you were long dead..since you're such weaklings.." Link said, grasping the hilt of the Shadow Saber tighter in his hand. A smirk lay on the warrior's lips as he stood there, waiting on this girl's move. Those crimson eyes of her's shined in the darkness, just as his must have to her. Those eyes though.. they made him wonder.. perhaps they were kindred spirits. Two dark warriors. Why do I end up thinking like this..? he wondered.
girl leapt down from the spot on the roof and made her way to the boy known as Dark Link. "You are much like me, Link... a reflection of another.. not having a set destiny.. able to make your own.." the girl said. "My name is Sheik.. since you share parts of your counterpart's memory.. I know you know who I am.." she said, smiling to herself, behind her masked face. Dark Link and her were alike. They were the same, in fact. It was as if she was him and he were her. "You and I were probably meant to meet.. that being our only set destiny. Did you know that, Hero of Darkness?" she asks, using that as Dark Link's title. It suited him.. he'd gone through many fights of saving villagers from Moblins...or other beasts, in the name of the 'Hero.'
smirked. "Hero of Darkness, huh? I like that. And, as I remember, Sheik.. you're supposed to be male." Link said, shaking his head. "So who are you, really? You've got the eyes.. but.. those give away that you're not Sheik.." he said, pointing the mounds on Sheik's chest. Link then found a pink tint on his cheeks. He hadn't noticed.. those were pretty nice.. but he didn't think of women too much. Well.. except for one. Zelda. The Princess that was never meant to be his. The one his counterpart took away from him. Dark Link loved Zelda as much as Link himself did. Closing his eyes, Link shook that thought away..knowing it would only bring him more pain.
think of her, don't you?" Sheik said, smirking a bit behind her mask. "Of the Princess..?" she asks. "You are much like your counterpart. But.. where you failed, he succeeded. He won her... and you remain alone.." she said softly, and Link went to slash his sword at her but she backflipped away. "Ah.. and I am indeed Sheik..and, I have been watching you for a long time, Link.." she explained, sighing softly. "In a way, I was made just for you to meet.." she says, nodding her head to what she speaks. "Had you still been one with Link then.. you'd have found out who I am.." she explains. "Or.. rather was.."
crimson eyes blinked. "Nani?" he questions, looking sternly at the Sheikah warrior. "Who are...were you then?"
slowly removed the robes around her head, then her face, long strawberry blonde locks flowing down, tied in a ponytail while her features were unmistakeble, save the crimson eyes. Before Link could speak, Sheik answered for him. "I am Zelda.. or, I was. My face, my body.. are all the same as her. For, I am her, and, she is me. Until.. we split apart. She said that I should be free.. that, I should lead my own life.. find my own love.." Sheik shook her head. "She probably made grievous error.."
chuckled somewhat. "She cast away her darker side. The proper Princess shant have a warrior of shadows within her..just as the Hero fo Time cannot have evil in his heart." Link said. "I'm just a bother to the Hero, as you are to the Princess, ne?" he says with another laugh.
suppose.. but, perhaps that means two cast away from society could make their own destiny..." she said shyly, looking to Link with a bit of smile. "But, I suppose not..."
mean, we start a life together..?" he asked. The idea.. intrigued him, for certain. "Well.. I guess..." he says with a slight smirk. "I guess.. since you're Zelda, and I'm Link, we are meant for one another...wouldn't you say?" he asked, placing a hand on Sheik's shoulder. "So.. how's Termina sound..?" he asks, gently leaning his face into her's and kissing her lips softly.
responded to the kiss happily, moving her arms around Link's neck. "Termina sounds good.." she says softly.
