Notes: If there are any phrases like 'the King Goron' or something stupid like that, scold me and yell at me and tell me where they are at, because I was a moron and the stupid 'Goron King's' name along with the rest of my mind, left for a short vacation while I was writing this part, but my friend told me what his bloody name was so I fixed it the best I could. Sorry. READ THIS!! Ok, I know I said at one point, that the Master Sword was in the pedestal of Time and then I said it was with Link… I don't know what I meant-he has it, but it is in the pedestal also, I'm too tired to explain, just use your imagination.

~Part 4: Tears in the Soul~

Link stopped for a moment, turning his head as if he had just felt a ghost, or perhaps he did-maybe it was Sheik again… Link frowned and followed Saria to the top of the steps, leading to the Pedestal of Time, and he watched as she formed a slightly translucent green energy shield around them-to keep the unwanted intruders out, Link thought. Saria then knelt down on her small knees in front of the pedestal and placed her hands neatly on her lap. Link stood there for a moment, raising an eyebrow at her. Then she turned around, still on her knees and raised her eyebrows at Link. Link looked around and gave Saria a questioning look, What does she expect me to do? I'm going to kill myself aren't I? I can't very well do it sitting down…… Jeese, I never thought I'd say something like that…

"So… what happens now…?" If Saria hadn't known any better she would have sworn that Link almost looked… scared. She decided against it, all though it wouldn't have surprised her if he was. After all, he was still human and he was going to the underworld-who wouldn't be even the slightest bit frightened at that thought? Saria sighed and closed her eyes.

"We wait… or, we can start it now…" Link raised his eyebrow once again, I wish she would stop talking in riddles…is it a Sage thing or something…?

"What would we wait for…?" Link asked, a little uneasy about this whole 'having-to-kill-himself-if-he-wants-to-save-Sheik' thing. Saria looked Link directly in the eye with the most serious and dead look Link had ever seen on anyone.

"The other Sages…" This time Link visibly grew scared and, surprisingly, angry.

"It would be much easier and safer if I had the others here to help me-you are going to the Underworld after all… but I know you do not wish to see them so I will have to do it on my own…. I do not mind though… I would do anything in my power to help you…… I just wish you could understand that." Link was taken aback; he never, in all his short life, ever expected anybody to confess something as important and personal as that to him-ever. Link did understand though-actually, he understood all too well what it was like to want another to trust and care and understand you, but they wouldn't. Link tried to smile as he walked in front of Saria and knelt down before her in much the same manner as she was sitting.

Saria blinked and looked up at Link, a little surprised that he had knelt down before her… she expected it to be a great fuss to get him to at least sit. She smiled at him and placed her delicate little hands on Link's larger ones to let him know that everything would be all right. Link understood and nodded; Saria pulled her hands back and sat up strait, preparing herself for what she would be doing in just a few moments. Link swallowed and tried desperately to calm his pounding heart…. Soon, soon he would see Sheik again, and be able to touch him and hold him and kiss him… and love him… Soon.

Saria noticed to tension in Link's larger body and smiled sadly… No! She couldn't let her mind wander now. I can't be thinking about this! I have to be calm… Clear my mind, relax, call my power… Link waited, not too patiently as Saria visibly relaxed and the power that was of the 'Sage of Forest' slowly began radiate off of the little girl in stronger and stronger waves, almost to the point where Link had to close his eyes because it was too hot.

Soon the power was flowing from the tiny Sage with such force and vigor that Link could feel it twining its long tendrils around his arms and legs. Under his cap and through his hair; up his nostrils and through his pink lips until he could feel the force of life it had been given, starting to fill his body to the tips of his being-his whole soul, to the point where he felt as though it would crush him to death and he could hardly breathe because of the force of the energy the little forest sprite was giving off. Why is it so strong? How can her power affect me so much, she isn't that strong is she……? Wait! Maybe it's because both of us are so in tune to the forest and nature…and we have such a strong bond with each other. I never imagined such power existed this way…… Well, I shouldn't fight it then…

After Link released his hold on his own body, Saria felt the yielding to her power and the green fingers of the living mass immediately took hold of the boy's body, not giving even the slightest chance of control over himself. Link forced open his eye, as it was all he could do, and strained to watch as Saria raised her hands above her head and behind her back as if she were grabbing for something. Link frowned and thought that was kind of odd but the thought was lost as soon as he felt his own arms being lifted above his head and behind his back by the invisible fingers, just the same as Saria was doing. What? What is this, what is she doing?

Saria opened her eyes and saw the worry etched on Link's beautiful face and she slowly and calmly whispered,

"It is all right. Do not be frightened Link, I am controlling your body now and it will do anything I will it to." Link's eyes grew enormous and he paled considerably, Saria frowned and continued,

"I have to do this Link, I have to take control of your body and be part of it as you… die, otherwise I may not be able to bring you back and you might end up getting sent somewhere you don't want to be. This will also hold your soul down, so as just in case someone decides they want to take it and lock it up or place it somewhere where it is not supposed to go yet. I know it is hard but try not to be too frightened, I will do everything in my power and more if I must, to keep you from dying completely. Trust me and this will go smoothly." Link nodded slowly. "Now as I take control of your body, I will, in a way, be the one who is killing you… this is part of the bonding…. So I will be the one to blame…" Saria smiled. "Ready?"

Link swallowed hard and for a second, hesitated. He didn't want to die, but he wanted to save Sheik at the same time, and he would do anything for Sheik-even die if he must… Link slowly nodded and took a shuddering breath before he felt those icy green fingers wrap his own hands around the hilt of his sword-the Master Sword, and slowly pull it from the sheath.

From high atop a mountain in the Far Eastern side of Hyrule, a beautiful young Zora Princess felt a strange yet familiar power flowing throughout the land.

"What is it Ruto…?" The Zora Princess, Ruto, turned to the new visitor who had walked up behind her, Impa. The strange and quiet Sheikah had always 'creeped' Ruto out, but the older woman always seemed to know when something was wrong and she was very kind about others' feelings, that's why Ruto liked her. Ruto secretly idolized the Sage of Shadow; the young princess wanted to be more like the wise Sheikah, brilliant beyond her years, strong and impassable, revered and feared by all… but, alas, the beautiful young Zora was only that-beautiful. She knew that of course, everyone did. That's why so many 'adored' her-because of her beauty and grace, everything a princess should be, right?

No. Ruto hated it-the fame, the 'Ooo's' and 'Aahh's,' the way everybody dropped everything just for her… well, it was nice most of the time but sometimes she just wanted to be seen for who she was-as a Zora, not a Princess. Unfortunately that was never going to happen, even as a Sage, she was still hopeless and could never be counted upon when the time came or for intelligence either…. The other Sages despised her because of that, but Ruto didn't care, she just ignored them and tried her best not to 'screw up' as Naburoo put it so bluntly once.

Ruto sighed, Impa just waited for her response.

"It's nothing, I just thought I felt something funny." Ruto shrugged her elegant shoulders with the lack of enthusiasm she always had for something that wasn't about or involved her. Impa glanced down at her then back towards the castle far off in the distance. She felt it herself, as was the delicate touch she had as a Sheikah with all living forces and things crawling the planet. It was a strong power-almost frighteningly so, but the power was not alone, it was being aided in the strength by another… more powerful being.

Impa frowned, she knew who it was-she knew who both the creatures were that had interrupted the balance and disturbed time… but she also knew why they did so. Did Ruto know? Probably not, but Impa was going to make sure she did or not.

"Ruto…?" The Princess craned her neck to look over her shoulder at Impa.

"Hmmm?"

"Do you know what it is you are sensing?" Ruto knew why Impa was asking her if she knew, it wasn't because Impa didn't know, on the contrary, Ruto believed Impa most likely already did know what it was and Impa was merely testing her as usual.

"Mmm… I… I'm not quite sure…. It feels familiar, like I've always known it, yet at the same time it's different. Heh it's stupid, but it almost feels like Saria's power ya' know, but with something else I can't quite figure out…… Go ahead and laugh, I know it's silly and I'm pathetic-I need to work on my abilities and focus more, or something like that…" Impa couldn't help but let a small smile escape at Ruto's blissful ignorance at even her own intelligence. The young Zora princess was developing quite nicely, Impa thought absently.

"You are absolutely right, Princess." Ruto whipped her head back at Impa, eyes wider than saucers and mouth hanging open in a very undignified manner. Impa raised her eyebrow and Ruto slapped her mouth shut, slouching down and turning back in a more proper position.

"I-I am…?" Ruto asked skeptically.

"Yes, you are. It is in fact Saria's power you feel and there is another with her, that is why her power feels different. Do not be so hard on yourself, you are much more intelligent that you think yourself to be." Ruto was shocked, she had never received such a kind comment before and it was even more important that Impa was the one to give it. Ruto blushed and ducked her head down more, trying to avoid Impa's piercing gaze.

"Th-thank you…" What could she say? Ruto was even more embarrassed and blushed even brighter.

"Saria is doing something that could get us all in trouble, she does not know what she has gotten herself into…. There are forces at work here that nobody should play with-especially a Sage and the 'Hero of Time.'" Ruto once again was shocked and stood up completely this time, grabbing Impa's shoulders and staring into her haunting eyes for the truth.

"What!? What are you saying! Link is with her? But how, why!? Are you positive it's Link? Maybe it is another! Impa…?" Impa only stared, face and body impassive to the situation Ruto was making such a big fuss over. Ruto gave up and let go of Impa's shoulders dropping her hands to her sides.

"Why, why is Link with her? What are they doing that could create such tremendous power…? I didn't think… Link… he-why? Rauru… I thought…"

"Saria stopped him. She is protecting Link now, I can feel her power lacing with his soul and wrapping him within her shielded embrace… she does not want us to find them. She knows we know, but she does not want us to interfere. She is meddling with powers beyond her comprehension and strength-powers which should have been left alone…" Ruto frowned in confusion and tipped her head slightly at Impa.

"What? What is she doing, what are these powers? Why is Link a part of it?"

"She is going to send the Hero of Time to the Underworld… to save my nephew, Sheik…" Ruto almost fell over when she heard that. How, how could that be possible? Sheik was dead, and it was impossible to go to the Underworld unless you… were… dead.

Ruto felt sick, she couldn't bare the thought of Link dying just to save somebody who didn't really exist-especially if he had to go to the Underworld to do it. So what if Link didn't love her and he was more incompetent than she was, he still didn't deserve to go the Underworld. Impa seemed to see what Ruto was feeling right at that moment and she gently took hold of Ruto's wrist.

"Come. We must tell the others and stop Saria… before it is too late." Ruto looked up at her hopefully and nodded, letting the older Sheikah drag her to the where the others were.

Little Forest Sage, you mustn't do this. Do you not understand what you are getting yourself and the Hero of Time into? This will fail-everything will go terribly wrong…all in the name of love…… Does my nephew mean this much to you, child of Courage and Time? Does the child of the Goddesses mean so much that you would risk even the fate of Hyrule again?

We have done a terrible thing, we should never have used you the way we did-Sheik, Link… it was us, we did it; Saria, King Darunia, Ruto, myself, Naburoo and… my Princess… Zelda. You hurt him the most Princess, by disguising yourself with Sheik's soul you condemned yourself to becoming the caregiver of Link's pain… I should never have let it happen, never. Zelda, what are we to do?

If we lose the Hero of Time and the Triforce of Courage another war will break out and this time, we surely will lose…Zelda I hope you have a plan, you must stop him! He is the Hero of Courage and Time, if he dies, he will stay that way forever, and we will die with him…

Not too far away, in a new kingdom rebuilt, a young woman, frail and beautiful but strong, felt her heart cry out for the pain it had bestowed upon the one she once loved with so much passion. It was telling her she had to stop him and save him from his misery; once she had been told by her guardian,

'If ever you feel your heart cry, do not ignore it, for the pain will only become stronger, fiercer, more immense by the passing time. You must listen to its cries, to the wailing of its misery for the one you may have hurt or feel for… it will never stop, it will haunt you until you go mad with rage, and fear that it will eat you alive. The pain is a sign of your power and obligation to the people of this country and you will always feel it if they are unhappy or hurt. That pain will grow and live, become an essence of its own-an entity in itself competing with your body for control to consume you alive and you will become a walking zombie and a pure host to the pain of others. Remember this because one day it will happen and you will have no choice but to follow your heart's voice and surrender to its will and pain.

'You will have the power of the Triforce and it will grant you the gift to save the one who haunts your heart and soul the most, but be strong and wise, because your heart may fool you and if you use that power on another that was not worthy of your gift, it will be too late and you will never be able to use it again. Thus, suffering eternity in living Hell with the true pain of the true beholder. Do not let your heart bleed with anguish and worry over a soul that can be saved-never.'

Well, now that pain and misery her guardian had told her of was rising in full force upon her heart and soul-it had been for too long now, and she couldn't put it off anymore. She had to do something about it now. The only question was, how? There it was again; her heart wouldn't stop crying out now. The pain was excruciating; tears began to roll softly down her cheek as she clutched her chest and braces herself against the wall to keep from falling.

A pair of servants walked by, staring and whispering to each other as they hurried off. The beautiful blond composed herself as best she could and hurried off to her quarters, no other thought in her mind except that she had to help him-she had to help the Hero of Time… no matter what.

I will make up for my sins, I promise…

Shadows again, this time choking the silver-haired creature, forcing him to open his mouth for a breath, only to receive an unwanted foreign object past his cracked lips. He cried, but nothing came, only dry forced sobs choked past the large appendage within his raw mouth. He fought to hide his pain and fear but to no avail as the hulking beast above him laughed cruelly and forced his large cock further into the weak boy's mouth. The evil creature before the silver-haired boy grunted and groaned loudly as he forced the broken Sheikah to take him in his mouth; the disgusting man smiled evilly as the poor creature below him struggled against his invisible bonds weakly and started to gag against his thick cock.

"Suck me boy, or you'll be forced to take it up that tight ass of yours! Ugh… I wouldn't mind doing that though… I may just do it still if your little boyfriend doesn't hurry…" The battered boy only sobbed harder and squeezed his eyes shut as tightly as he could; if this man were to do 'that' to him… He couldn't even handle the thought of that unspeakable act. If that did happen then he surely would be worth nothing to the one he loved so much, and that one beautiful, untainted, perfect creature would shun him completely-even more-so than he would now, and he just couldn't live with that.

"Suck it harder Little Sheik or you'll regret it! I know your boyfriend wouldn't like it if you were already touched by another… hm hm, that's why I'm waiting until he arrives… so he can watch me take you right before him!" Sheik's eyes flew open and he begged silently to whatever Goddesses might be listening not to let that happen. Gods, if Link ever saw him like this, he may never want to even think of the dying boy again. Sheik couldn't bare it, he knew he wasn't worthy of Link's love or even kindness, but he couldn't live without the perfect boy's presence-he had to be near him, even if it was only from a distance.

This disgrace was too much to bare, he couldn't fight it anymore, he was tainted-ruined, who would want something that was fowled in such a way as he-who would even want to look at him? Sheik broke down completely and just gave up. He let the horrid man above him do as he pleased to his tattered body, it was already beyond repair as was his soul… Link didn't love him anymore, and if Link didn't love him, then there was no reason for him to live; there was no reason to hope, no reason to believe, wish, pray, deny everything…

The sweating, dirty, hulking beast finally came into Sheik's vandalized mouth, and he pulled out slowly, slapping Sheik on the face playfully. As the brut walked away, Sheik dropped his head and let the sour cum drip out of his closed mouth from the corners of his bruised and bleeding lips the last thought Sheik had before he lost himself completely was,

'I'll never be worthy of you Hero of Courage, but I'll always love you…forgive me…' Sheik closed his eyes wearily and an almost sadistic smile crept upon his lips, the unwanted seed dripping thickly down his chin and to the dirty floor. In the distance a chill ran down the hulking beasts spine at the psychotic laughter coming from the creature he had just molested.

Laughter ringing throughout the halls, Crying following the calls,

Eyes begging for release, No one caring in the least,

Freedom far from grasp, Locked doors the only past,

Broken sobs can now be heard, Like a dying song from a sweet bird,

In a gilded cage one must stay, Until light is brought from the day.

I love you, Link……

* ~ * ~ * ~ *

He could hear the stinging sound of the Master Sword sliding from the sheath and loud ringing as the tip moved past the end of the sheath. The whole world-time itself seemed to move in slow motion, like when Sheik would seemingly make all things stop when he disappeared from Link's sight. All of Link's senses seemed to be heightened and tuned to only one thing-the Master Sword above his head, in his hands, ready to strike himself at any moment. A strong flash of fear and adrenaline coursed through his body at that moment as he watched his fingers seemingly move of their own volition and turn the sword to be facing him when he brought it down.

Link swallowed hard and took a shuddering breath, then he looked into Saria's eyes and… he couldn't do it. Link tried to shake his head 'no' but it wouldn't move, he tried to form the word on his lips but they wouldn't respond either. Something was wrong; it shouldn't be like this! This was all wrong, he was going to die and he wouldn't come back, he could feel it; the spell was going to backfire and Sheik was not going to be to be saved!

'I love you, Link…' Link was taken aback by the sudden wave of emotions that hit him and before he could register what happened the sword came down…

Link felt the fear and pain and anguish Sheik had sent to him in one strong forceful wave of emotions; he slowly glanced out the corner of his eye at the four remaining Sages running into the room he and Saria were currently in. He only had a second to frown on them as he saw their lips moving-yelling something, he didn't know what, he couldn't hear.

Then it all went black…

* * * *

All of the Sages stopped abruptly as the Master Sword was sent slicing through Link's abdomen by his own hands; blood spurted from his gaping mouth, eyes wide but unseeing and he coupled over, slowly sliding to the floor in a heavy heap.

Saria fought back the urge to faint, Ruto fell to her knees. Naburoo went into sudden shock and King Darunia and Impa just stared, sadness showing deeply.

"No… no, this can't be… we-we're too late… we're too late." Ruto muttered incoherently, nobody was listening though, all they could do was stare… and wait.
