~~I don't own ne thing of L`Arc~en~Ciel and I am in no way affiliated with them. I just got bored one day and wrote this! Don't get mad at me for ne of this its just my creativeness lol~~

I sat on the park bench for a while, watching the sun as it rose to brighten the day. It had been a rough night and I hadn't been able to sleep. Then, around three, my cell phone rang, and when I answered it, I was greeted by a voice that I would have not cared to hear at that hour. My band member Hyde, who was also the lead singer, wanted to see me about some new lyrics or something on that note…hell I couldn't remember. My brain was too tired to listen and while he continued to talk, my brain slowly drifted in and out of consciousness. I agreed to meet him here at the hour he requested, but like usual for Hyde, he was late. He had asked me to meet him here at five or around there so that way while we talked we could watch the sun rise. Yet, here it was, six in the morning, and I was sitting here waiting for my slow band member to meet me. I was chilled, although it was the middle of July, the wind at this hour was still cold. Finally I heard a voice from behind me and I turned to look at who had called my name.

Running up the stone path to the marina, which was located in the park, was Hyde. His black shorter than shoulder length hair, that was usually down, was spiked up in every direction possible and to me it looked like he himself had just rolled out of bed. Damn I wish I could be in that warm safe haven that I called my bed. Hyde was wearing a pair of black jeans that matched perfectly with his black “Goth” boots, and he was wearing a white and black striped shirt underneath a black jean jacket. Since it was Hyde, he would not think his outfit complete until he had at least one ring on his finger, three necklaces with at least one being a gothic cross, and more than twenty bracelets that seemed to always match the outfit he was wearing. His brownish-black eyes seemed intent on making me stay and were full of desire. I felt a blush rise to my cheeks but shook my head causing my blush to disappear and my bangs to fall in my eyes. I brushed them away flashing a smile at Hyde, instantly forgiving him for being late. Finally, he reached me, gripped my shoulders, and kissed the air on either side of my cheeks. I repeated his actions and soon we both sat back down on the bench.

“Sorry I'm late, Ken!” Hyde flashed me one of his charming smiles.

I let out a mental sigh and responded, “It's okay. I know it's difficult for you to get here from your apartment. So, why'd you have to call me at three this morning?”

He glanced away at the clouds that were now forming in the sky. Hyde let out a sigh and shifted his gaze from the clouds to the water. Finally, he answered me, “Honestly, I just wanted to hear your voice. I missed you Ken. I miss the old days when you came over and we stayed up late at night playing guitar and writing lyrics. I…I want those old days again,” Hyde blushed and scooted slightly closer to me.

At that moment I had plenty of thoughts running through my mind, unfortunately, though, they weren't lyrics. What is he saying? Is he in love with me? Man, I'm so confused! God, I need a cigarette. Shit! I remembered that I didn't have any on me. I thought of asking Hyde for one, but decided against it. I started to panic a little, which was odd since I never lose my cool. We've been friends how long and this happened when? His voice broke me out of my trance.

“Ken? What's wrong? Are you getting into the `lyric' mood?” Hyde teased, referring to one of our old time jokes. The joke was that every time I started thinking of lyrics for a song, I get into this weird trance.

I smiled then returned the joke, “Yes, Hyde, it's a great song! I think I'll call it… Kiss! What do you think, Hyde?”

He looked thoughtful for a moment then agreed, “Yeah! I love it Ken. Hey do you want to come back to my apartment so we can work out the rhythm and tunes and stuff!”

Hyde looked so happy. What kind of bastard was I to take away my best friend's happiness? “Right, Hyde! Let's go. Should we stop at my place to get my guitar?”
