The year was 3107. A soldier by the name of Tagana was on assignment for the Space Marines. His mission was to investigate a strange abandon space station. His ship docked with the abandoned station. As he got out, he immediately noticed something odd.

Tagana walked down the halls of the abandoned station and decided to send a report back to his commander. He got on his radio and said, "Commander. Commander do you copy?" After getting a reply, he continued, "This is Tagana. I am currently on the abandoned station. There is no sign of life anywhere. I have found a few people's limbs around, but nothing to much. I will continue my search cautiously. Tagana out." He put his radio away and continued walking.

Just down the hall and to the right, a demon waited. It started to smell the air and when smelling fresh human meat, it ran around the corner and lunged at Tagana. Tagana noticed this and shot away with his assault rifle. The demon got hit in the arm, which ripped off instantly spraying blood everywhere. It was then hit in other arm which also ripped of spraying more blood everywhere. It was finally hit in the chest which ripped it open spilling its organs all over the place. The demon fell to the ground with a big thud, drowning in its own blood. Tagana then walked away. The life force of the demon then exited its body and flew right for Tagana.

Tagana turned around just in time to see what appeared to be a blue blur fly right into him. He was then sent through a dimensional rift that sent him to a land that had never been seen before by any human from our dimension.

Tagana got up. He looked around at his new surroundings. He then looked to see if his gun was still there. When he looked down, he saw that no gun was there, but a sword was in its place. To be exact, a katana was in its place. As he looked around the room he was in, a person walked in. Shocked, she ran out of the room. Tagana followed her and said, "Wait, you don't understand! I have no idea where I am and why! Please forgive me suddenly entering this place! I had no idea where I was going!"

The girl turned around and said, "I am the who should be forgiving you. I had no idea you were there and had no idea that you didn't know where you where soldier."

Tagana looked at the girl like she was from another world and said, "You called me a soldier. I know nothing of this culture or land. One quick question, what year is it?"

The girl looked at him and said, "This is 3107. And by the way, my name is Kial."

Tagana looked at Kial and said, "Kial… Nice name. I'm Tagana. Out of curiosity, what is your job?"

Kial responded with, "I am an archer. I'm not with any army, I just do it for the fun of it. Shall I guide you around this town?"

Tagana said, "If you really want to, go ahead."

Later that day, at the town blacksmith, a group of police soldiers walked up to Tagana with their swords drawn. One of them stepped forward and said, "Tagana, we are here to put you under arrest for starting the red plague, for imitating being a soldier, and for intrusion on others property. Do you have anything in your defense?"

Tagana looked at them and said, "How am I to have anything in my defense? I did not start the plague that you speak of, I did not choose to have these clothes and this sword. And Kial doesn't seem to care that I intruded on her property."

Another of the police soldiers walks up and says, "Lies! Take him away! If the girl tries to defend him, take her away as well!" That soldier then walked away. Another stepped up and tied a rope around Tagana's wrists. He was then taken away to the town jail.

Five days later, Kial arrived outside of Tagana's cell. Tagana looked up and said nothing. Kial then said, "I have some good news." Tagana just sat there. Kial continued, "They have decided to let you free. We will be accepted in to the Gethran army." Tagana continued to just sit there.

He then got up and said, "Thanks for going through all that trouble for me even though we've only knew each other for a few minutes. I have no idea on how to repay you."

Kial said, "You don't have to repay me. Having you as a partner is enough. I think I hear the soldier coming with your equipment and key to your cell."

Right then, a soldier walked in with some clothing, a sword, and a key. He walked up to Tagana's cell and opened it up. He then said, "Here are you new clothes and sword. It will be a pleasure to work with you. I hope you like your new job. You two will have to share the same house, we have no more room for any new people. Is that alright?"

Kial stood there and said, "That will be alright with me! I could use some company."

Tagana responded with, "But how long have we known each other? We've only seen each other for a few minutes. If that is want you want, then I will be forced to agree."

Kial then said, "We are more alike then different. You'll see what I mean. I think it's time for us to be going home, don't you think so?"

Tagana just said, "Well, I have nothing else to live for. No one else to live for. I guess I'll come with you." And with that, they left the jail.

A few minutes later at Kial's house, Kial was guiding Tagana around. When he learned that the house was just a one bedroom, he almost shit a brick. Kial just continued on and said that he was one of the luckiest guys in the town. The reason she said that was because a lot of the guys in town liked her. His thoughts on the situation changed from shock to that of liking it. After dinner, which Tagana had no idea what they were eating, they decided that that was enough for one day and went off to bed.
