Ok, this is a tri-authored fic. This is based on characters in our life, so just give it a chance. You'll catch on very quickly. The authors are DarkerImage (obviously), Condayen, and dudekiller. We try to update as soon as possible, and the more you review, the sooner we update.

 

The Awakening Part III

10 kids are on a field trip for extra credit. They go to The T.O.W.E.R. as a place to do the extra credit assignment on. While following the guide to the master's study, the guide attracts the master's attention. The master loses his focus on the experiment he was working on, and it explodes. The master has protection, as this was expected, but the kids were not. The guide dies, and the kids were splashed, leaving them with a red mark wherever they were hit. They were all knocked unconscious.

“What the…” Sarah said stunned. Suddenly the invisible wall seemed to weaken allowing the nurse to slip a little farther inside. “Uh oh… this is bad.”

 

Suddenly a doctor walked into the patient room. Seeing the bloodthirsty nurse trying to attack one of the patients, he ran and hit a button near the door, “SECURITY!” A few seconds later two very tall and muscular men walked into the room and dragged the nurse away.

 

“Sorry about that, that particular nurse has a bit of a bipolar issue,” the doctor said as he walked over to Jackie's bed when he saw Sarah cowering and Jackie groaning on the floor.

 

“A BIT! SHE JUST TRIED TO KILL ME!” Sarah screamed as her fear quickly changed to anger, “YOU ARE ALL INSANE!”

 

“Calm- calm down, you've been through enough this week,” his voice cracked as he saw just how angry Sarah really was.

 

“Where are we anyway?” Jackie asked as she tried to get up from her place on the ground.

 

“This is the quarantine section of the hospital closest to where we found you. What were you all doing in the T.O.W.E.R. anyway? It's off limits to the public,” the doctor replied as he helped Jackie up onto the bed.

Stacy's eyes shot open. She sat up immediately. “Where am I?” She said.

 

“You're in quarantine. You've been in a coma for eight days.” The nurse replied casually.

 

“What happened to the others? There was this explosion and…”

 

~*Flashback*~

 

“Master, you have some visitors,” the guide said. The professor turned around and his eyes widened. A light appeared in front of him, and the explosion went past it. The guide flew onto a mace on the wall. “LOOK OU-” I was knocked unconscious.

 

~*End flashback*~

 

“How are they?” Stacy asked, fear and concern in her eyes.

 

“Well, Sarah and Jackie woke up yesterday. Everyone else is still in a coma. You were all splashed by the chemicals in his experiment.” The nurse replied. “You had the chemicals splash right over your heart. Hannah had hers around her entire neck. Emali has the chemical mark across her upper arms, Henna has it across her shoulder blades. Katie got hit all over the left side of her face. Josh has the mark on the back of his right hand. Emily and Jake were hit the worst. Emily was hit just above her spinal cord, and Jake was hit on his forehead. We are not sure if they will ever wake up. Jake has severe brain damage, and if Emily wakes up, she will most likely only be able to move her head.”

 

“Emily was my best friend…” Stacy said solemnly.

 

“Who's your best friend?” Hannah asked sleepily.

 

“Ah!” Stacy screeched, startled. “You're awake!”

 

“Where are you?” Hannah asked, looking around the room.

 

“She's right h-“ the nurse said, and she froze.

 

“What? I'm right here.” Stacy said, getting over her shock.

 

“No you're not.”

 

“I'm on the bed!” Stacy started moving her hands around. “What? Where are my hands?!” Suddenly her hands appeared. The nurse dropped her clipboard. “What just happened?”

 

“I don't know… It's like you were invisible or something…” Hannah said, obviously slow to catch on.

 

“Something weird is going on with you kids… Sarah had a force field or something around her, and healed at a miraculous rate. Jackie was floating five feet in the air when she woke up! And now you've turned invisible? I quit!” the nurse said, and stomped out of the room.

 

“Umm… okay…” Hannah said. Hannah tried to get up, but she couldn't. “Why can't I get up?”

 

“Umm…I think you did…” Stacy said, her eyes impossibly wide. Standing on the bed across from her was a Hannah under the covers, and a Hannah standing up next to the bed.

 

“What are you talking about?” The Hannah's said in unison. They turned toward each other slowly. “AAAHH!” The Hannah's screeched. “WHO ARE YOU?” They shouted. Suddenly, the Hannah standing up fainted, and landed onto the other Hannah. The Hannah on the bed braced herself, but never felt the weight. “What?” The other Hannah was gone.

 

“What just happened?” Stacy asked, her eyes still wide open.
