Chapter 1:

“Are you sure you have to go?” Raven asked as she listened to Devin's beating heart.

“Yes. I have to learn to control my Shadow Form. I've seen what happens when a Shadow Mage loses control and I don't want that to happen,” he said running his fingers through her hair.

They were laying on the coach in the living room. Devin pulled out his communicator and called the rest of the Titans to the living room.

When they got there he and Raven sat up and looked at each of them, before saying, “I have to go. I'll be back but you guys will have to get on without me. Think you guys can manage?”

6 months later…

Raven was on the roof of Titan's Tower meditating when she felt a strange presence enter Jump City. As she focused on the presence a voice spoke in her head, Hello love.
Devin? Raven thought shocked that he was back so soon.

Yeah. I've brought some friends with me so don't tell anyone that I'm back.

Okay. I can't wait to see you.

You'll see me in a little while.

Raven stopped meditating and went to her room. She stayed there all day so that the other Titans wouldn't get too suspicious. That night they went out for pizza. As they where arguing over what kind of toppings to get, a motorcycle jumped over the side of the restaurant. The motorcycle landed and the rider dismounted. He was dressed in a black duster that reached to his black cowboy boots. He had black jeans and a black shirt that was tucked in. A black belt was around his waist. He had black biker gloves on his hands. He left his solid black helmet on.

He got into a fighting stance and said, “So who's first?”

The Titans just looked at him. He lunged at Robin who barely managed to dodge the punch. Starfire flew at the rider and threw punch after punch at him. He backed up dodging every punch. He bumped into Beast Boy who had turned into a gorilla. Beast Boy held the rider in a bear hug.

The rider smiled under his helmet, “Nice grip you've got there. Tell me how mine is.”

The rider grabbed Beast Boy's shoulder and lifted him over his head. Beast Boy turned into a T-Rex. The rider didn't even flinch. He kept holding Beast Boy in the air with one hand.

“Come on,” he said laughing, “Turn into a Blue Whale. I've been dying to see just how strong I am.”

Beast Boy turned into a Blue Whale but the rider just shrugged and heaved him into the air. He then raised his hand over his head as a ball of energy formed. the ball became a beam that went screaming at Beast Boy. Beast boy was incased in ice when the beam hit. He changed into a gorilla again and began pounding on the ice. The rider turned back to the Titans. Starfire fired Starbolts but the rider backhanded each one deflecting it.

Robin appeared behind him and slammed his Bo Staff into the back of the rider's head. His helmet cracked and fell away from his head. He grabbed Robin and threw him. Robin landed next to Cyborg. The rider looked at the Titans. His red hair was combed over his right eye. His left was red and the pupil was a slit.

He smiled again, “About time one of you hit me.”

“Azurath Metrian Zenthos,” Raven said using her power to lift the rider's motorcycle and heave it at him.

This made him do something no one thought he would. The rider took the hit and made sure the motorcycle didn't fall. He laughed slightly and looked at Raven, “The sorceress. I'll tell you this once. This thing is a Harley. So no more using it.”

Everyone was struck dumbfounded. Cyborg and Robin shook the surprise off first and tried their “Sonic Boom”.

“Booya!” Cyborg shouted when the attack hit.

They all relaxed until the smoke cleared. The figure was standing with his arms crossed completely untouched. “Pathetic,” he said with a frown.

A figure rose out of the rider's shadow. “You said they were strong Crow,” he said disdainfully.

The figure shrugged as he became solid, “I didn't know you'd go that hard on them.”

“I went easy on them. If this is the best they can do then we're screwed.”

The figure pulled the hood away from his head. Raven dashed at him and threw her arms around his neck before kissing him.

“Devin!” the Titans shouted.

The rider walked over and tapped the side of Beast Boy's ice prison shattering it. “Hey guys,” Devin said smiling after Raven had stopped kissing him.

Two people appeared behind the rider. “Who are they Devin?” Robin said glaring at the rider.

The rider bowed and smiled, “I am the embodiment of Honor. Most call me Draco, though. This is the embodiment of Courage. She is known as Tigris,” the rider said motioning to the girl on his right, who nodded, “And this is the embodiment of Loyalty. He is called Lupus.”

The boy on the Draco's left bowed. The girl wore an orange jacket over a black shirt. Black pants with orange pockets hung over black boots. A chain with three claws rested on her shoulder. Her green eyes regarded the Titans coldly. Her orange hair was braided.

Lupus was dressed in Gray shoes. Baggy gray jeans and a tattered gray cloak that hung to his waist. He wore two belts. One was normal the other was “gunslinger” style and had a quiver. The cloak's collar went up to his chin. He had a white shirt on underneath. His Gray hair was combed to the sides of his head to keep it out of his brown eyes. His arms draped over the bow that rested across his shoulders.

Devin took a seat at the table as the Titans went back to arguing over pizza. Draco picked up his motorcycle and hopped over the railing around the restaurant. He hopped back up without it. He sat on the railing occasionally sniffing the air. Lupus stood off to one side. Tigris sat off to another side.

Lupus walked over to Draco and asked, “Anything?”

Draco sniffed the air and sneezed before answering, “No. They're here I just can't smell them.”

“Hard to believe the cycle has started again so soon.”

“Yeah. And I fear this may be the time that mankind pays for its crimes.”

“Do you really believe we can't win?”

“We're only here because our guardians gave their lives to save us. Mankind no longer believes in the virtues we stand for.”

“That's true. Then we shall die fighting?”

“Of course.”

As the sunset the Titans stood. “Hey! Why don't you guys stay with us at Titans Tower?” Devin asked the three.

“Won't worry about us. We've been taking care of ourselves for a long time,” Draco said as he mounted his motorcycle. The three left and the Titans watched until they disappeared over a hill.

Raven looked at Devin, “Interesting friends you have.”

Devin threw his head back and laughed, “Love you have no idea.”
