They dropped the bags that they loaded into the trunk of Lupus' car onto the floor. Lupus changed into a pair of gray swimming trunks. Draco took his coat off and tossed it onto his bed. Tigris took of her jacket revealing her shirt to be a spaghetti strap. Lupus grabbed a towel and they left the room. The pool was in a large room with a hot tub, several video games, and a pair of pool tables. Lupus did laps around the pool. Tigris watched while Draco played pool.

Lupus stopped at five laps and looked up at Tigris, “Why don't you come in Tigris?”

Tigris bristled slightly, “I don't think so.”

“How about you Draco?”

“Maybe later,” was Draco's distracted answer.

Draco had always like pool and had become very good at it. When he was playing almost nothing could distract him. Lupus shrugged and went back to his laps. He was the fastest at anything he did. Maybe not the best, but certainly the fastest. Tigris sat on the stone wall and watched as Draco studied a shot. Draco bent over and brought the cue forward. The crack off the cue ball hitting another ball rang out. It was followed by the clank of the ball being locked into place by the table's mechanics.

The Titans got home and went about various things. Raven got a good look and Devin. His shoes had been replaced with boots. His jeans were the same as well, and even though his shirt was the same. His hair was longer. It now reached to his shoulders and was still red, but black was starting to streak through it. The bottom of his coat was tattered and he kept it buttoned.

He looked at her and asked, “What?”

“Nothing,” Raven said with a smile, “Don't you think you should replace that coat and get a hair cut?”

“No way. It makes me look cool.”

“At least pull your hair back.”

“Fine,” Devin said with a smile. He pulled out a black rubber band and pulled his hair back into a pony-tail. “Better?” he asked.

“Much,” Raven moved into kiss him.

At the last second Devin turned his head. Raven looked in the same direction. She saw what he was looking at. The Titans were staring at them. The two went to Raven's room where they laid down together.

“So who exactly are your new friends?” Raven asked.

“They are who they say they are. The very essences of Honor, Courage, and Loyalty. They had guardians that reflected that. Draco's was a dragon, Tigris' was a tiger, and Lupus' was a wolf. They've got weapons that also show what they stand for. Draco's is a sword. Lupus has a bow. And Tigris' has a graplng hook, they‘re supposed to be claws. Starting to see a theme here?”

“Yeah. So why are they here?”

“From what they've told me, they've been around since the dawn of mankind. They've been fighting three evils. Greed, Hate, and Pride. I don't know if those are their names but that's beside the point. The point is that they've been fighting for millennia. Last time they fought they lost. Their guardians gave their lives so that the three could live. They came back stronger then before and won. But now they won't have that kind of luck. If they lose this time it's game over.”

“And then what?”

“I'm not sure. Draco wouldn't tell me.”

“Do you think we can help?”

At this Devin shook his head, “Nope. We're nowhere near as strong as Draco and his friends.”

Lupus had finished his laps around the pool and dried off. Tigris hopped off the rock wall she was sitting on. Draco hit the last ball into a pocket and put the cue away. They all went back to their room and fell asleep.

At Titan's Tower everyone was getting ready for bed. Cyborg locked up the tower. Unbeknownst to anyone a cloaked figure was floating not far off. The wind picked up blowing his cloak around. He wore green shoes and green pants. His shirt was hidden by the cloak and his face was hidden by the hood. In is hand he held a sickle. The sickle had a chain coming from the bottom. At the end was a weight. The chain was wrapped and hung loosely. His eyes began glowing red and he flapped his wings. He flew off into the night.

At the hotel Draco awoke. He walked to the sliding glass door and opened it. He walked out into the grass field in the center of the hotel. He was dressed only in his jeans and belt. He sniffed the air and looked toward a tree. A figure jumped out of the tree. She was dressed in a hooded cloak. She put her hand on her hip. This pushed part of the cloak away revealing her yellow shoes. Her shoes were partially covered by khaki pants. She wore a yellow tank top that she had tucked-in. A pair of metallic claws hung from her hip.

“How are you doing Draco?” she asked with a smile.

Draco glared, “Get out of here Leo. Before I get angry.”

Draco got into a fighting stance and Leo laughed, “You wouldn't dare. That's breaking the rules. And we both know what happens when someone breaks the rules.”

“Try me,” Draco said as a red aura surrounded him.

A large katana appeared in Draco's hand. It was six feet long and three inches wide. The long thin dragon etched into the side all but glowed. Draco leapt into the air and, with a battle cry, brought his sword down. Leo jumped out of the way as Draco's sword shattered the ground.

“You're crazy.”

“No Leo. A dragon is at its most fierce, when it's cornered.”

Leo growled and jumped onto the hotel roof. Then she disappeared in the night. Draco went back into the room and closed the door behind him. He went back to bed and fell asleep.

The next morning the Titans went to the mall. They went into one store and walked past a guy in a long black coat.

“You guys should be more aware of everything around you,” Draco said turning to them. A hand was placed on Draco's shoulder.

“Don't worry Draco. They've got me,” Devin said smiling.

“How did you?” Draco was amazed.

“I'm a Shadow Mage. And an ex-assassin. I pay attention to every face I see.”

“Heh! Guess I should have known. Actually I came here to give you a warning. One of the evils showed up at our Hotel room last night.”

“At your hotel room?”

“Yeah. Chances are that another was hanging around your place last night too.”

Draco suddenly tensed up. He turned to the door of the shop. A low growl came from his throat.

“What is it?” Devin asked his hand going toward his hood.

Draco growled, “They're here.”
