“All we can do is try and come up with a plan, not that it’ll do much good if the rest of those guys are as strong as he is,” Cyborg said.

“We’ll need Draco too. We may have to call in some help from Titans East too,” Robin sighed.

“Yes. We should call our friends and retreive Raven,” Starfire siad smiling.

“There’s no point. They’ll just sluaghter us,” Crow said getting up and walking away.

“Where are you going?” Robin asked.

“To get wasted. If the world’s going to end I’m going to be drunk when it happens,” Crow said stomping off.

As he rode through the city on his motorcycle he began thinking of Raven. All the fun they’d had together. He started crying and found himself thinking back to the old days. He heard someone behind him. When he turned he saw Draco standing there.

“Draco what are you…” Crow never go to finish the question as Draco slugged him in the face, “What the hell was that for!”

Crow just barely dodged as Draco nearly cut off his head with his katana.

“What the hell are you doing?” Crow demanded ducking as Draco swept his sword through the air.

“Come on you miserable coward. Bring out your Scythe and fight with me!” Draco roared continuing his assualt.

“I’m not going to fight with a wounded man!” Crow shouted doing a backflip into the air.
Draco pinned Crow to the wall of a nearby building with his barehand and began choking him.

“Then you will die here,” Draco said with a look in his eye that made everything hit home for Crow.

Crow melted into the shadow of the building and appeared behind Draco. He created his scythe and jumped into the air before slamming the blade down as Draco blocked with his sword.

Draco smiled, “Good. Now actually try and hit me!”

Crow lifted his scythe and spun but Draco blocked again. Crow jumped back then rushed Draco with the blade of his scythe in front of him. Draco blocked but Crow thought Draco was slower. Crow pulled his scythe to the side and then stepped forward before sinigng again. Crow was amazed at the speed that he was moving just as Draco’s sword appeared in front of his face.

“What the hell?” Crow asked staring at his scythe.

“I’m strong Corvus. But little else. I don’t have an abundance of skill, or overflow of speed. Think about your symbol Corvus, the Crow. Heralded as a bird of Death. Nothing demon or angel can defeat death. You are bringing all your friends down weakening Phoenix. And by wishing for your old life when you felt nothing weakens yourself and me. Now, are you willing to fight for Raven and this world?” Draco said.

“yes.”

“Then we shall make our grand assualt upon them. And either we come out alive or nothing lives.”

Crow had to catch Draco as he suddenly collapsed, his wounds finally getting the better of him. When they got back to Titans Tower Crow told them Draco’s plan.

“I don’t it. It sounds like a suicide mission,” Robin said.

“That’s what it is. But we don’t have much of a choice. It’s either suicide run to try and get Raven back or the world becomes hell, again,” Crow responded.

“he’s got a point Robin,’ Cyborg said.

“All right. We’ll go tomorrow. If Draco isn’t healed then we’ll leave him.”

“We’re going now,” everyone turned to see Draco standing in the hall way, “Either we go now or we lose. And we go with everything we have or we lose.”

“Fine. But I don’t like dragging a man with one foot in the grave with along,” Robin growled.

“That’s fine with me,” Draco said opening the portal again.

This time when the flash faded the Titans found themselves on a cliff of black rock. Over the edge came screams of pain and heat. There was a path among the jutting rocky spikes that lead to a large castle. The Titans slowly made their way along the path toward what some would have thought to be certain doom.

Inside the castle Raven hung suspended in a dungeon. A furnace sat off to one side radiating intense heat. The being known as the Puppet Master appeared before her. He was different though. He still wore the black suit but had set the coat aside. His eyes were still red but his hair was black and hung in his face.

“I must say. You are as beautiful as my puppet said. You have a chance to save yourself. Marry me and I can assure you safety. I am after all royalty. How about it? Marry me a pure blood prince or die with that miserable cur you call a mate?” he cooed in her ear.

“Fuck you,” Raven said glaring at him.

“Heh. I expected as much. But you’ll see things my way in time. And don’t think that your friends can save you. That angel Draco, my puppet nearly crushed him in the human world.”

“What?”

The Puppet master disappeared through the only door out of the dungeon. Raven could help but feel a little helpless and perhaps even fear at the idea of Draco being beaten. All though she’d seen it happen, his defeat had been at the hands of a Sin. Not some demon prince.

“Crow,” she whispered as she began crying.

Outside the Titans had just reached the large black gate of the castle.

“You wanna’ ring the bell, or should I?” Crow asked looking over at Draco.

Draco growled and walked up to the door. He brought this fist back and then forward luanching the massive door into the castle. The deafening boom that came when it finally hit was almost enough to knock them all on their feet. Everyone looked over at Draco as he suddenly began coughing. They saw him holding his side. His left arm was in a sling and they could tell he was in pain.

“Let’s go,” Draco said limping slightly into the castle.

As they walked through the large hall then soon found themselves in front of a staircase that split to the left and right as it went up. Here Draco stopped and his hand shot up to his sword.

“Someone’s here,” he said, then shouted, “Come on out.”

A group of five people appeared. There were two on the left staircase, one on the right, on at the top of the middle and the fifth was the Puppet Master standing half way down the middle.

“Greetings. Welcome to our humble home,” he smiled.
