Chapter 4: New Life

Well Here's chapter 4 just like I promised. Wasn't chapter 3 scary? I would hate it if that happened to me. I started freaking out while I was writing it. Sometimes I scare myself at how weird I can be during the night. Well you already know that these are my characters and my story so no stealing!! Well please read and review. Memiko opened her eyes only to have a pair of green ones staring back at her. She tried to teleport only to realize that her powers were gone. So instead she only did what came first to her mind. Memiko screamed as she jumped off the couch and backed away from the brown haired child.
The little girl only smiled at her, "Hi! I'm Hosi! Who are you?!" At the sound of her scream a young man entered the room with dark brown (AN: think almost black)hair and crystal blue eyes. He smiled warmly at her as he walked into the room. Memiko backed away as he walked closer towards her. Her eyes grew with each step closer.
Memiko had backed up all the way and her back was against the pale wall. She shut her eyes and wished Daiju and Suku were with her until she felt a light brush against her fore head. She opened her eyes to see a pair of crystal ones staring back at her. "Sorry, Hosi must of spilt her popsicle on you." He said as he walked over and gave a napkin to Hosi who wiped her face and gave the soiled napkin along with the popsicle stick.
Memiko then just looked at the man and the little 5-year-old. Memiko calmed down and looked at the little girl then at the man, "Just who are you people and how did I get here and just where am I?"
The young man sat down in a chair as the little girl plopped into his lap. "Well, My name is Kudoshi and this is my niece Hosi. I've been taking care of her while my sister is on a trip. You are in my house across town. And we found you this morning sitting against the cherry tree in the front yard. How you got there? Well, you tell me." Kudoshi said as he bounced the pigtailed one on his knees.
Memiko looked down towards the floor. ‘This is all too weird. Where is everyone? And why am I the only one-‘ Memi's thought was cut off when she realized that she was on Earth! "Damn you figure." She mumbled to herself. Kudoshi placed Hosi on the ground and walked over to Memiko.
Memi had her hand in a fist by her side. Blood dripped to the floor as her nails dug into her hand due to the pressure she was placing. Kudoshi gently took her hand in his. His actions startled Memiko. Kudoshi smiled warmly as he gazed into her lavender-blue eyes. "Do you wear contacts?"
Memiko began laughing as she pulled her hand away from his grasp. "Contacts? Haha. I don't wear contacts. This is my natural color." Kudoshi looked at her in disbelief. He gave her a ‘yea right look.' " Well wether or not you are wearing them then that's okay. But we should get that taken care of." Kudoshi said as he nodded towards her currently bleeding hand.
"Ummm. That should of healed by now. It must be out of my system already. That's all right. I'll take care of it." Memiko said as she pulled out a small bottle and drank from it. Kudoshi watched as her hand glowed and completely healed. Kudoshi's eyes grew extremely large as he slowly backed away for her.
"Wh-wha-what are you?!" Kudoshi said as he fell over a stool. Memiko smiled as she walked up to him and held a hand out, "You want the truth? Don't worry I'm not going to hurt you." ‘Might as well be nice to these mortals until I find a way home.' She thought as Kudoshi took her hand and stood. He nodded at her question.
"I'm Memiko. The ruler of the underworld. I don't know why I'm here or how I got here. I'm immortal. And yes I have powers but since I have been separated I can't use them. And don't spaz I don't mean any harm." Memiko decided to make a quick joke so she held her hand up. She moved her middle finger and her ring finger to make the alien peace sign. "I come in peace." Memi started cracking up as she did this. Kudoshi began to relax.
"So that explains your clothes. And if you're the ruler of the under world, then whatever happened to Satan?" Kudoshi asked as he examined Memi's appearance. Memi began to laugh at the thought of the old ruler, "I over through him. He got too old and his powers couldn't handle the new comers. Then when he disappeared I took his place. It's rather simple."
"So why are you telling me all of this?" Kudoshi said as he eyed the angel carefully. Memi plopped onto the couch where she woke up. "Easy. I figure that I'll be here for a while before I can return. So I might as well explain myself that way if something strange happens, I won't have to do it then."
Kudoshi's eyebrow raised, "What do you mean, something strange will happen?" Memi smiled, "What I mean is that my friend's are going to come looking for me, so if anything happens as a result of them finding me I won't have to explain."
Hosi who was silent and observing got up off the floor and walked over to Memiko. Her green eyes full of curiosity. "So you're like an angel?" She asked as she tilted her head to the right. Memiko smiled as she kneeled down to the little one's eye level.
"Well I'm like an angel I guess. But I wouldn't say I'm pure like one. My life was too dark for me to be pure." She smiled at the little girl who was confused by what Memi had said. Although Kudoshi knew exactly what she meant. Memi sensed the child's confusion, "Would you like me to show you?" Hosi nodded excitingly. Memi turned to Kudoshi, "Do you have neighbors?"
Kudoshi nodded yes then stated that the girl wasn't home. Memiko bent down to Hosi and extended her hand, "Would you show me to the backyard?" Hosi's eyes lit up as a rather large grin covered her face. She grabbed Memi's hand and took off towards the back door. Kudoshi walked after the fast-moving girls.
Outside Memiko walked out to the middle of the backyard. She told Hosi to stand near Kudoshi. The angelic ruler looked around to see if she was being watched by anyone else. Then she closed her eyes and opened them again to revel her eyes had changed to black. As she began to concentrate, her body began to glow.
Just then a pair of black angel wings flew out from her back sending superfluous feathers everywhere. Kudoshi and Hosi's eyes grew wide as they saw the wings. Kudoshi was in awe of how angelic Memiko looked. He felt a blush rising to his cheeks.
Hosi opened her eyes wide as she gazed in shock as a feather touched her nose. She then slowly walked up to Memiko, "Can you fly?" Memiko smiled as she cradled the little 5-year-old in her arms and instructed her to hold on. "We'll be right back." Memiko smiled, and with a burst of air from her wings they flew into the night sky.
For above they could see the whole town and all its glory. The bright lights from the city made the town look like a famous painting in a museum. "Hey look Memi-san!!! There is my school!!" Hosi said excitingly as she pointed to a rather small building surrounded by a park.
Memiko's smile came as quickly as it faded. Memiko's power began to fade due to being away from the underworld for so long. Memiko lowered herself and Hosi to the ground where Hosi hopped out of her arms as Memiko collapsed and blacked out. Kudoshi ran to her side as the fallen angel turned back to normal. Kudoshi carried her back into the house as Hosi hopped into her bed. She snuggled with her stuffed animal that she had received as a gift from their neighbor, Yuki.
Kudo-san placed Memiko in his bed and pulled up the covers. As he sank into the chair across from his bed as he fell into a deep sleep hoping that the troubled girl would sleepy easy.

Well that's the end of chapter 4. I know it was boring but it was a setup for chapter 5. Hmmm I wonder who will appear in the next chapter?? HMMMM lolx hahaha please review!!
