The Healer and The Thieves

Althea made her way fast down the street as everyone was running inside his or her homes. Althea panted harder and harder as the wind tried to pull her back. She stopped and fell into the snow and started coughing and wheezing. Althea then glanced in front of her to find Crystal, she gasped as she got on her knees and bowed.

“Get up healer…” Crystal said.

“Y- yes madam…” Althea said.

Althea got up and looked to Crystal's soft smile. “It has been done, you must go and guide her now, you must fulfill your destiny child.” Crystal said.

Crystal turned away from Althea and walked down the road, Althea looked down her side of the road and glared at two gigantic towering gates, they where a solid black with huge glass-like handles. Althea went up to the gates and held both of her hands out with closed eyes, and soon a glow of light came from them.

Back where Ronna was she decided to run back inside the bus.

“Reeeh! There has to be a way to get out of here! Come on Ronna think!” Ronna gasped. “Think like the scientist I know I'm gonna be! Ugh! I have to remember one of the button's she pressed! Come on Ronna…” Ronna exclaimed.

Ronna pressed a button and a screen came down revealing a chibi-like Crystal with one finger pulling her eye lid down and her tongue sticking out with the word; “Loser!” below it. “WHY YOU!!” Ronna exclaimed.

Ronna took off her shoe and threw it at the screen causing it to spark and smoke. Ronna took back her shoe and put it back on. “Damn it, this is all a dream! It has to be! Ugh, what am I going to do? I can't just climb down that hill! That lady had magic, and I got nothing!” Ronna whined.

Ronna paused then leaned outside the door to find the baton lying in the snow. She stumbled outside the bus and skidded in the snow on her knees to it where she picked it up and hugged it. “She gave me this! Maybe it has some magic or something!” Ronna smiled.

Ronna pulled the baton away from her cheek but noticed it was still attached. She looked at it and tried to pull it off again. When she couldn't she sat there for a moment, got up, and then ran around in circles.

“Get it offa me!!” Ronna yelled.

Ronna yelled and ran inside the bus where she shut to doors and tried to find a heater of some sort.

“New York hasn't had this weather in forever, I can't believe that I didn't being a jacket of some sort! I'm freezing! And I have to get this thing off of my face!!!” Ronna exclaimed.

“Perhaps I could help.” A voice said.

Ronna jumped and looked to the doors where Althea stood. “W- who are you?” Ronna exclaimed.

“My name is Althea, I am a healer, and you have no need to fear me Ronna…” Althea said as she closed the bus' doors.

“How did you know my name?” Ronna asked. “How come everyone knows my name around here?” Ronna exclaimed.

“Crystal has known you before you where born, I knew your name in your eyes.” Althea smiled. “Please, sit down so I can take a look.” Althea said.

Ronna went on her knees as did Althea and she rose her hands near the baton. Suddenly it fell to the floor and Althea stared at it.

“That Baton has a lot of power coming from it, did Crystal give this to you?” Althea asked.

Ronna nodded as she picked it up and observed it more. “Yeah, it reminds me of a baton I once had when I was small, I used to love twirling it around even before I knew how to use one.” Ronna smiled.

Althea smiled also and got up, Althea then took off her coat to reveal her long sleeved dress and handed it to Ronna as she got up.

“B- but you must be freezing! I can't take this!” Ronna exclaimed.

“Oh don't worry it's not that cold where we're going…” Althea smiled.

Ronna took the blue coat and put it on, it fit her perfectly. “Now follow me.” Althea said as she opened the doors.

Althea and Ronna began to walk further away from the bus. The further they got away the more Ronna realized that they where going in a spiral down hill. “Oh my gosh!! H- how are we doing this? Are we going straight or down?” Ronna asked.

“Oh, where going straight down.” Althea smiled.

“Ha- ha very funny, so are we going to the Crystiltina place or what?” Ronna asked.

“You mean; Crystalline…” Althea corrected.

“Whatever…” Ronna said.

“Yes, we are going to Crystalline if that's what you where asking…” Althea said.

“Great, so will there be a fire or somthin? I'm so cold right now my ass could fall off.” Ronna complained.

“Uh, your jackass could fall off of what?” Althea asked.

Ronna stopped as did Althea and they spent the longest time staring at one another.

“No, I mean my buttocks could commit butticide right about now.” Ronna said.

“Your butanol could what now?” Althea asked.

“You know like people are freezing so much their butts could get frost bite!” Ronna tried to explain.

“E- excuse me, but how can the butt of your gun get frostbite?” Althea asked.

“No, no I mean like my buteo could seriously freeze up…” Ronna said.

“But bird's survive through the winter with their feathers, and taking shelter in caves, though none have been flying much lately due to our horrible weather.” Althea explained.

“Look all I'm saying is that I need a fire or else I'm going to die here…” Ronna said.
“Why didn't you say so?” Althea asked as she continued walking.

Ronna grew a little too much annoyed and tried to hit Althea as she began to walk away.
A few moments later they came to a cave where the gates stood. Althea went up to the gates and held both of her hands out with closed eyes, and soon a glow of light came from them. Suddenly the gates slowly opened and Althea walked through them.

Ronna stood at the gates however, stunned a bit. Althea looked back and gestured for Ronna to come. Ronna ran to Althea and the gates slammed behind her. Althea held both of Ronna's hands and smiled.

“I do hope we will meet again Ronna, I have to leave you here. I'm sure you will find a place to stay soon, but don't wander around in the allies too much.” Althea warned.

“Wait, you're just leaving me here!” Ronna exclaimed.

“Don't worry about it, in fact, I'm very certain we shall meet again. Good bye Ronna.” Althea said.

Althea let go and turned and walked away. “Bye…” Ronna said.

As people began to fill the streets Ronna decided to look for a place to stay, in the allies however where three chuckling shadows, but Ronna paid no attention. As Ronna continued walking a small boy came to Ronna's side he was in shaggy clothes and had a hat on, Ronna ignored him. Soon another came to Ronna's other side with a scarf, small coat and worn down shoes, Ronna ignored him too. Until one hopped in front of Ronna she stopped and looked at all three.

“Hey, look that it's a new comer!” The middle one said.

“Neat she's wearin boy's clothes!” The left one said.

“Hey, I am not wearing boy's clothes…” Ronna objected.

“Ooh! Hey Dolan! Check it out!” The right pointed out. He saw Ronna's baton and pointed to it. The other two awed at the stick until Ronna snatched it away.

“No touching!” Ronna yelled.

“Luce! Horus! Dolan!” A voice yelled.

Ronna looked to find a boy about her age glaring at the three boys. They all hid behind Ronna and whined.

“You know these three?” Ronna asked.

“Yeah, Sorry if these three are bothering you. Dolan's my brother and these are his friends.” The boy smiled as he grabbed his brother by the hat he had on as the little one tried to hold it on his head.

“Let go Apollo!!” Dolan whined.

“Fat chance bud, I'm not letting you out of my sight.” The boy said.

The other two ran beside Apollo and looked at Ronna so she could see their faces better. Luce had bright red hair and freckles across his face and bright green eyes. Horus had ha brown hair and deep brown eyes. Ronna saw that Apollo had dark blue-like hair and blue eyes, when his brother had black hair and blue eyes.

“My name is Ronna, Do you know where I can find a place to stay?” Ronna asked.

Apollo stared at Ronna and smiled widely, he looked at the three boys. “Here that? The lil lady needs a place to stay! Whaddya all say she come and bunk with us lazy Asses?” Apollo smiled.

“Yay!” The two exclaimed as Dolan whined.

“If that's alright with you madam?” Apollo asked with a smile.

“Do you have a fire place?” Ronna asked lamely.

“Sure do!” Horus exclaimed.

“Then lead the way!” Ronna smiled.
