Disclaimer: I don't own anybody in this story so far, everybody here is somebody from the real world (namely my school), I just changed their names to protect their privacy.
The only names that I have not changed are Brianna, Kathy, and Julia.
I also do not own Yami from Yu-Gi-Oh. I just felt like putting him in the authoress notes. It's so much more fun when I get to torture somebody!

Meira: So... I'm writing another fic at the time when I really shouldn't be.
Yami: AGAIN?!
Meira: Yup. Sad, isn't it?
Yami: ...
Meira: I'm writing this story for my friend, Brianna. I'll put in her username once she signs up with MediaMiner or someplace like that...
Yami: Yup.
Meira: This story is based on real life and fiction. Me and my friends really don't have many classes together, so I changed that.
Yami: ... Pointless...
Meira: So, on with the Fic! AND IF YOU ARE A PREP, THEN SORRY! I HAD NO INTENTION OF HURTING ANYBODY'S FEELINGS WHEN I WROTE THIS!
Yami: Riiight.
Meira: I swear, I didn't!
Yami: @.@

"Meira!" Brianna shouted.
Meira turned around. "Hey!"
"So, what did Pyoter do at your house?" Brianna teased.
Meira shuddered. "Do not mention his name..."
Brianna laughed. "After all, he is gay."
"It would be funny if he actually admitted that," Julia said, coming up behind them.
"Yeah," Kathy said. "But then again, everybody already knows that, so what's the point of him admitting it?"
They all laughed.
Meira leaned against her locker. "So, you guys going to the Halloween dance?"
Brianna, Julia, and Kathy nodded.
"Trick or Treating?"
They all nodded again.
"You mean you guys actually go trick or treating?" a snotty voice asked.
They swiveled around to see Sylvia, Danella, Raina, Elissa, Tara-Anna, Brina, Rachel, Geena, Amelia, and July standing there, trying to look as 'cool' as possible.
"Is there anything wrong with that?" Brianna asked, raising an eyebrow.
"It's just childish," Rachel said, lifting her nose up into the air.
"Suuure," Julia said. "Childish..."
"Hmph," Tara-Anna sniffed, stomping away with the rest of her friends.
The bell rang.
"We'd better get to class," Kathy said hastily. "Don't want to be tardy."
All four of them ran off in different directions.

"Meira," Mytchell said during English. "I'm sorry for impersonating you!"
Meira turned away.
"Mytchell!" Julia snapped. "For the last time, Meira doesn't want to talk to you!"
Mytchell turned around and started to talk to somebody else.
"Freak," Julia muttered. Meira nodded in agreement.
"Well, let's just hope that he shuts up soon," Meira replied dryly.
"Meira," Mytchell continued.
"SHUT UP!" Julia and Meira (nearly) shouted in unison.

"You know," Brianna said. "It would be so much easier if the preps weren't in our gym class."
Kathy glanced over at the preps. "Wouldn't that be nice."
"Have you decided what you're going to be for Halloween yet?" Brianna asked.
"Probably a reindeer or a Disney Character," Kathy replied thoughtfully.
"You mean you guys actually still dress up?" Elissa asked, coming up behind them. "I mean, that is so... 1960."
"They began that in the 1700s," Brianna said sarcastically.
"No, really?" Elissa asked, looking shocked. "I never knew that!"
Brianna and Kathy glanced at each other, suppressing laughter.

"All going trick or treating?" Kathy asked, later that day.
Everybody nodded.
"Then we'll meet at Brianna's at... about five o' clock."

Brianna started walking home. Halloween was so close!
She walked past an old house a few blocks from her house.
"Lilith..."
Brianna turned around.
Nothing.
She looked around that area.
Still nothing.
What was that all about?

Meira: ... Short, pointless chapter. Could have done better on the beginning, middle, and end.
Yami: *shakes head* And I was under the impression that you could write a better chapter than this...
Meira: I'M DOING MY BEST HERE!
Yami: Suure... just like you did your best to come up with the title "The Curse."
Meira: It was eitehr that or "Forever."
Yami: I think you should stick with "The Curse."
Meira: Yup. We'd like to thank my sister, MathWhiz100 for beta reading this chapter!
Yami: *nods* And for keeping Meira in a good mood, so she doesn't decide to kill off a character or anything like that.
Meira: *sweatdrop* I wouldn't do that...
Yami: *cough* Double Identity...
Meira: -_- Anyways, this is only the Prologue, so don't stop reading!
Yami: Review too.
