Disclaimer: I don't own anybody in this story so far, everybody here is somebody from the real world (namely my school), I just changed their names to protect their privacy.
The only names that I have not changed are Brianna, Kathy, and Julia.
I also do not own Yami from Yu-Gi-Oh. I just felt like putting him in the authoress notes. It's so much more fun when I get to torture somebody!

Meira: Yes, I know the last chapter was beyond pointless...
Yami: Yup. Maybe it would be easier for you to write if you actually had a plot.
Meira: I HAVE A PLOT! I'M JUST WORKING ON GETTING TO IT!
Yami: Just like you're smart enough to write this on Notepad.
Meira: ^-^ I like how all the letters are lined up and stuff!
Yami: ...Anyways, get on with the Fic!
Meira: Good point...
Yami: So... mind telling me what this chapter is about?
Meira: *bangs head on wall* Another intro...
Yami: AGAIN?!
Meira: Afraid so.
Yami: ...

"Lilith..." Brianna muttered as she searched the internet for the name.
"10,000 RESULTS?!" she yelled, looking at the results for her search. Ugh... at this rate, she was never going to find the name...
-RING!
Brianna sighed and picked up the phone.
"Hello?"
"Brianna?"
"Hey, Julia!" she said brightly. Maybe Julia knew what Lilith meant.
"what's up?"
"Looking for the name 'Lilith,'" Brianna said. "I don't think looking through 10,000 results will help much at all..."
"Lilith?" Julia asked, pausing for a second. "Where have I heard that name before?"
"You mean you've actually hard that name before?"
"Yeah... I think Meira mentioned it."
"Really?"
"She told Jeff when she was writing 'Crimson...' I think it means like, Ghost or something..."
"GHOST?!"
"Yeah..."
"Is there another meaning?"
"Hold on a sec... I'll call Meira and ask."
There was a pause.
"Brianna?"
"Yeah?"
"Meira said that it's Arabic, it means Night Hag/Demon/Ghost. Lilith is supposedly a Night Hag of legend that sucks blood when her victims area asleep. And that it's so feared that nobody really uses that name anymore. You'd think that Meira'd use a LESS scientific definition..."
Both of them laughed.
"Anyway, I'd better get going," Brianna said. "I've got some stuff to do."
"'Kay, see you later!"
"Bye!"
Brianna turned back towards the computer. Now that she knew what Lilith meant, she just had to find out... well... why she heard it.
Did she really hear that voice, or was it just in her imagination?
Her musings were interrupted by a bloodcurling scream from outside.
The sound of sirens followed shortly after.
"Strange..." she muttered, walking outside.
Silence.
What was with that?

"You guys," Brianna said, sitting down on the floor in the gym.
"What?"
"It was so weird. Last night, I heard somebody screaming, and then I heard sirens. But when I went outside, I didn't hear anything."
"Strange..." Kathy muttered. "How long did you hear the sirens for?"
"Only a moment," Brianna replied.
"But... it would take longer than a moment for the sirens, at any range, to begin and then end," Meira said slowly.
"That's what I thought too..."
"Who screamed?" Julia asked.
"Not sure... It sounded like a woman though..."
"Are you sure it just wasn't Mikel hanging around in your neighborhood?" Meira snorted.
They all burst out laughing, ignoring the disapproving glares fromt the teachers nearby.
"Anyway," Meira said. "I have to go to P.C..."
"Have fun," Julia teased.
Meira shuddered. "Not with Mikel there I can't... I mean, he seems to be wearing short shorts every time he's there. And he's always waving at Alec too..."
"Think he's gay?" Kathy asked.
"Duh!"
The bell rang.
"See you guys later!"
"Bye!"

"Hey..." Meira said. "You think it's possible to hear a sirens for only a moment, then to hear absolutely nothing at all?"
Jeff shrugged. "I don't know... And did you update your fics yet?"
"For the last time, no!" Meira said, annoyed. "I'm taking a break from writing..."
"What was that about you wanting me to burn Mytchell's locker? I told you, I'd ask Erek."
Meira rolled her eyes. "I wasn't talking about that... I was asking you if it was possible for... extra terrestrial things to happen."
"Anything can happen."
"Maybe..."

Kathy sat down at her desk, waiting for class to start.
"Lilith..."
She turned around, wondering what that voice was all about.
"Did you hear that?" she asked, turning to the person sitting nearest her.
"You mean the teacher going crazy?" he asked sarcastically. "Then yeah, I did."
"No, that voice that said, 'Lilith.'"
"Nope."
"Strange..." she muttered. "I could swear that I heard somebody say 'Lilith...'

"Lilith..."
Meira and Julia both lifted their heads up.
Meira put her pencil down on her workbook.
"Did you hear that?" Julia whispered.
"Yeah... it said, 'Lilith' or something like that..."
"Hey... Brianna asked me about Lilith yesterday..."
"You told me. I had to tell you what it meant," Meira muttered sarcastically.
"But what did that mean?"

"I still don't understand," Meira said. "How come only we heard that, but nobody else did? It's like... an extra terrestrial spirit or something."
"Extra terrestrial?" Julia asked, raising an eyebrow. "I can understand 'Ghost,' but alien?"
"I just find it strange..." Meira said, acting very much offended.
"We all do..." Brianna whispered.

Brianna walked past that old house on her way home from school.
It was a strange home... as far as she knew, nobody had ever lived in it.
Nobody ever tried to go near it either.
Psychologically speaking, this house was scary, creepy... haunted, as some people said.
Brianna shook her head.
She was just overanalyzing...
Somebody grabbed her arm.

Meira: ... ANOTHER crappy chapter...
Yami: Damn right.
Meira: SHUT UP ALREADY!
Yami: How about no?
Meira: ... Anyways... Please read and review!
Yami: Before she decides to kill somebody else off...
Meira: I promise I won't kill off anybody in this story... *crosses fingers*

Meira: ... And anyway, the scream part really happened. I was talking to Brianna on the phone, and then she said she heard a scream outside, and then sirens. But when she went outside, she didn't hear anything.
