Chapter 14: How many more must you kill Lemon?

Lemon sighed, walking away from the room where Lounaru was still being given tests on.

"Ahhhhh..." He yawned. "I'm so bored....Imagine the 'God of death' with nothing to do but....play video games!"

The vampire/demon half jogged to his room, and popped 'Parasite Eve' into his play station.

"Lemon!" Hikari appeared behind him, an annoyed look on her face.

"Shhhh! Your going to make me miss the opening sean!"

"Fool!" The demon woman pulled the plug out of the TV and turned to Lemon who looked at her fuming like a small child.

"Omae o korosu!" Lemon said bitterly.

"I know that is Japanese for, 'I'm going to kill you', and believe me Lemon your much to weak to do that to me."

"What is it you want?"

"Ryan and his group his group are in Kalikow village, it is your mission to capture the girl and perhaps if you can Ryan. Kill the

rest of the group so they don't cause us anymore trouble."

"Hmmmm, why do I want to do that? I have nothing against them."

Hikari growled. "That does not matter!!! Taromecika does!! And he is your master! Go to Kalikow village right now! Now get

going!"

Lemon watched as Hikari left the room. 'Taromecika, my master? I'm my own master...the fools. Omae o Korosu! They only one I served under this stupid bunch is Lounaru....'

The group laid tiredly in their rooms they had rented at the inn in Kalikow, sleeping soundly. Ryan stared up at the moon which

shone in the sky, unable to sleep, memories of Mara and Keith kept on flashing threw his mind, bringing tears to his eyes.

"Ryan..." The boy jumped startled and he turned towards his door, he saw Ruto standing there, with tears running down her

cheeks.

"Ruto? What is wrong?" Ryan asked, worriedly, walking towards her, brushing a strain of her hair back behind her ears.

"Ryan....I had a terrible dream....I'm sorry for being such a child, but...I dreamt that I was surrounded by darkness, and I was

trapped, I couldn't control anything I was doing, I was like a puppet, watching as my body move on it's own....I saw myself kill

you Ryan....!"

Ryan held Ruto close to him, allowing her to sob into his chest.

"Shhhh, it's all right." He hushed. Ruto looked up at him, ocean eyes shining with tears.

"It was only a nightmare."

"I don't ever want to hurt you Ryan. Not you...or anybody"

"Don't worry, Nothing like that is going to happen, your just upset because you've seen how Taromecika's darkness could

corrupt people."

"Yeah...I guess your right...." Ruto sniffled. "I must look like such a weakling...I'll go back to my room...you probably want to

be alone...."

Ruto paused as Ryan grabbed her arm as she began to leave the room.

"Actually, I wouldn't mind the company. I've been alone for...along time, I don't want to be alone."

Ruto blushed, smiling. "Me neither...You'll protect me from my nightmares, right?"

"I will..."

Ryan gave Ruto the bed, no matter how much she protest and he laid asleep on the couch.

"Good night Ruto, sweet dreams...."

"Good night Ryan...thank you."

Ryan slowly opened his eyes, the darkness around him covered the area like a thick blanket, on the bed he could see Ruto

laying there, her chest rising and dropping as she breathed in and out.

He settled back down on the couch, but then a clicking noise at the window startled him and he turned towards it, surprised

and nervous. He took his sword into his hands, trembling slightly. Nothing...then suddenly the windows not that far from him

burst wide open. Ryan gasped as Taromecika floated into the room, a dark light surrounding his body. The demon god grinned

evilly at him and began to float towards where Ruto slept.

He cried out to her, desperate for her wake, but no matter how much he tried his voice would not making a sound.

Taromecika, made a cutting motion with his fingers and the front of Ruto's top slowly ripped open, revealing her breasts.

Ryan gripped his leg, trying to get to his feet but was not able to move his legs for they were stiff and numb from the night he

slept crooked on the couch.

Taromecika, leaned forward, his long though licking Ruto in-between the chest and circling around her right nipple.

Ryan screamed again, but still no sound left his lips. Taromecika gazed back at him, opening his mouth he revealed two long

fangs. Gazing in horror Ryan watched as the fangs entered into the soft flesh of Ruto's neck. Helplessly the demon-half watched

as the demon god slowly drained the life force from the girls body, leaving her laying motionlessly.

"NO!" Ryan cried, throwing himself off of the couch he crashed into the nearby coffee table, getting to his feet he looked

around panicked but the room seemed like nothing had ever happened. Slowly he gazed over at the window which was shut,

slowly he walked over to it, opening it he looked around the night sky for anything that could be approaching, seeing nothing

but the stars dotting the velvet black sky, he closed the windows locking them. Slowly he approached the bed, stopping when

he saw Ruto sleeping peacefully, a smile on her face.

Looking at the window he recalled the horrible images from his dream and gazed down at the orb of light that had attached it's

self to the sword. Touching it with his hand, it glowed turning into a shimmering talisman, the images of an Angel and an devil

locked forever in an embrace craved into it's golden skin. It dangled on it's golden chain, sparkling like fire light from the light

that swept into the room from the moon.

Slowly approaching Ruto's bed, he climbed in next to her. He stared at her, as she laid there, never seeing something so

beautiful before in his life. Sleepily, Ruto turned over to look at him, threw puzzled ocean eyes. Ryan placed the talisman on her

chest, taking her hand and placing it on top of the cold golden surface, whispering the words

"No matter what, I'll protect you..."

And slowly, they leaned forward their lips meeting.

Squall sat in his room, gazing out at the night sky, memories flashed threw his head, of how he use to kill humans, how he use to

enjoy spelling their blood, about how sweet Ganderdof's lips felt against his, and about how he left it all behind and raised

Angie...and about how they both died...

Angie had meant everything to him, and at one point in his life so did Ganderdof, but now they were both gone, it made him

wonder just why he was trying to stay alive. To avenge their deaths, perhaps? But what about after he did that? What would he

have left to live for?

"Wow, don't you have pleasant thoughts."

Squall jumped turning around to see Lemon standing behind him, his dull violet eyes and white hair shimmering in the moonlight.

"What are you doing hear?" Squall demanded icily. Sighing Lemon smiled, setting next to him on the bed stretching his legs.

"Well...I was suppose to kill you guys, but I find your mind rather interesting, and if I killed you, your thoughts would end."

"How dare you read my thoughts!"

Lemon giggled. "Sorry, it's force of habit, anyway, you can find out a lot of interesting things about a person by reading their

minds.....Like, who they really are inside. You and me are a lot alike, you once killed and now you regret it, I kill, not because I

want to, but I'm forced to, you know, being on the side of evil and all, but....I would rather just, play games, have fun, pull

some pranks, but I have a mission to accomplish....And I can't stop killing, can't stop being the 'God Of Death' until I complete

that mission."

".....Why are you telling me this?"

Lemon studied him with his intense eyes, and leaned closer. "There is going to be an attack tomorrow night, everyone in this

village is going to die...."

"What!?....Why did you tell me? Wouldn't it be easier for you to attack if you struck unexpectedly?"

Lemon leaned closer to him, their noses almost touching each other. "I don't want to kill any more..."

----FLASH----

Lemon laid on the grass, staring up at the clouds, when a dog came running up to him, and began to slobber all over his face.

Dazed he sat up and watched as a little girl, around six or seven came running up to him, blonde hair and blue eyes shining in

the sun.

"Sashsa!" The girl scolded, grabbing the leash back into her small hands. "You don't run off and lick people."

"It's all right." Lemon reassured, smiling up at the girl.

"My name is Shanan, I'm taking my dog Sashsa out for a walk! We might not be able to go for a walk in awhile though, with

the goddess wars going on and all....the government building hear is dealing with the bad guys, and we all are so powerless.

Oh, I'm sorry, I'm babbling, It just makes me mad to think that I wont be able to walk my Sashsa for awhile! What's your

name?"

"Lemon."

"Wow, that's a strange name!"

The dog began to pull restlessly and the girl began to giggle letting the dog drag her off.

"Bye-bye!!!" The girl giggled, running off.

Lemon smiled, watching her, but then turned seriously towards the tall government building that loomed in the distance, and

remembered his mission.

It was dark out, and Lemon knelt down in the distance, a rocket launcher gripped in his hands, as he aimed at the government

building. His mission was to destroy it, and the people inside before they could cause the war to become even more out of

control. He had it planned out, the rocket he was going to lunch was going to hit in the center of the building, which would

cause it to fall to the left, away from the residential areas. He lunched his attack but to his horror when it stuck the building

exploded, and then he realized his fatal mistake, the building had bombs and explosives in it, and to his horror he watched as the

explosion engulfed everything around it, including the residential areas.

The sun was slowly rising and the 1st snow of the season was beginning to fall, he walked threw the ruins of his attack, looking

for any survivors. He stopped in horror as he saw a small little white fluff laying on the ground, all burned and bruised, scooping

it up in his arms he saw that it was the little dog, Sashsa.... Tears fell from his eyes, onto the scorched white fur.

----END FLASH---

"Please, don't let me kill anyone else."

Squall watched in silent shock as Lemon pulled himself away from him after finishing his story and disappeared in a small flash

of light.

Alex knocked on Ruto's door but got no response, frowning he began to walk back to his room when he passed by Ryan's

partly open door. He peered in, his eyes widened in shock, and slowly he looked away, closing his icy blue eyes and walked

away.

He allowed himself to land on his bed, and he gazed up at the ceiling, he eyes blank, as if he were in a trance.

'Princess....Marie-Maya.....It seems like you have given yourself for another....It seems my only dream has been

destroyed....What need does a solider have for dreams anyway? I was trained to kill, and protect. That is all, I was not trained

to care about those I protect. Love...kindness, they are only meaningless emotions. Emotions are weakness, they are

imperfection, I have no need for such things....I'm perfect...the perfect solider...the perfect killer, I have no need to feel things.

Feelings only get in the way...but then what is meaning of existence? My life is meaningless....my only purpose is to protect

Marie-Maya....and soon my mission well be completed....my mission is all what matters....'

Ruto slowly opened her eyes, not knowing where she was right away, but jumped startled as she heard breathing next to her.

She turned around to see Ryan sleeping peacefully next to her. Feeling weight on her chest, she looked down to see the

talisman, laying there, shimmering in the morning sun. Slowly the memories of last night popped back into her mind, and she felt

her face grow hot, she began to tremble.

"I can't believe what happened last night....oh god....What is going to happen...what if...?" Ruto put her hand to her stomach

worriedly.

Ryan groaned softly, pulling himself up into a setting position. Ruto, who had just finished dressing turned towards him, her face

worried, yet trying to regain some composer.

"Oh....good morning...Ryan." She squeaked out, trying to sound normal.

Ryan groaned again, his head sore as his memories and thoughts were all a jumble, and then it all came rushing back to him at

once.

'No...way, I couldn't have.....!'

However spotting his underwear and clothes scattered on the floor, tell him he did. He could feel his blood stop, and the color

drain from his face. He could feel his legs shake and a lump form in his throat. Ruto watched him worriedly, trembling all over.

"R...R...Ryan...?"

The demon-half slowly turned around to look at her threw wide eyes, face pale.

"Ruto did we....?"

Before he could finish his sentence the door to his room popped open and Genki stuck his head halfway in.

"Hey Ryan!"

The smile on the boys face disappeared entirely as he saw the two together in the room, pale and nervous expressions on their

faces. He coughed, blushing slightly.

"Um....believe it or not...uh....Squall, wants us all downstairs to....*cough* talk....I think it's....important.....ahh.... we meet

downstairs....in...in th...the Inn's dining room."

"Uh....yeah...sure." Ryan, still as if in a daze pulled on his pants, he turned to Ruto who still watched him threw worried eyes.

"R....Ruto....err....ah.....I'll see you...downstairs."

".....yeah....tell...Squall....I'll be a little l....late....I...n...n...need to go take a sho...shower."

Ruto lowered her head shamefully as she watched Ryan and Genki leave the room, a lone tear trailed down her cheek.

As soon as Ryan closed the door behind him, Genki was already in front of his face, questioning him on what was going on.

"Now, just tell me, just WHAT was THAT I saw?"

Ryan sighed, already annoyed. "It's not your business..."

"Like hell." The hyper boy frowned. " You did it, didn't you? I'm right, aren't I? Come on!"

Ryan looked at the floor guiltily. Genki put his hands on his hips.

"You should be ashamed of yourself!"

Ryan looked at him surprised, not expecting that for a response.

"Wha--??"

"You heard me! Did you see the look on her face? I mean, how insensitive can somebody be!?"

Ryan grimaced at the other boys words, feeling guilt begin to consume him.

"I...just...I just don't know how to....how to talk to her about it....I mean, I never....I mean, god!"

"Well..."Genki frowned. "In that case then....do as Squall told you about the kiss, pretend it never happened."

"What?"

"You know, act like nothing ever happened between you two, act like you normally would if last night never took place. It's the

most I can tell you to do if you can't talk to her about it. But I think it would be the wrong thing to do....actually it would be kind of...mean. But hey...I'm not little Mr. love problem fixer, solve your love trouble yourself, if you really love her, you'll know what to do." Genki walked away shaking his head.

"Hmmmmm....." Ryan sighed, lowering his eyes to the floor. This was not the answer he was wanting to hear but he knew it

was the only thing he could do since he was to much of a coward to be able to say anything to her about what happened last

night. He, himself did not know why he had done it, sure he cared for her a lot, but...in a sexual way? Oh, god....what kind of

bastard was he....? Damn dream...if it was not for that nightmare....but, just how true was the dream? Did it have any meaning

behind it? He sure hoped to god, it didn't.

Ruto closed her eyes, letting a hot water spray over her skin in a sharp little needle like spray. Her eyes were watering but not

from the soap which she had got into to them.

"Oh...Ryan....I wish, I wish that you would have at least spoke to me this morning....Was all I was to you a one night play?

Aren't I more important then that?"

' Marie-Maya is not cared about, Marie-Maya is not loved, Marie-Maya is being used, she has no importance in this world.'

Ruto gasped as the thoughts echoed threw her head again, and with a cry of pain she gripped her head.

"No! That....That is not true!"

' Human kind loves only themselves, human kind is destroying the earth, they must be destroyed, no matter what...Why should

creatures who care only for themselves be allowed to live?'

"No!! Stop it!"

'Marie-Maya must not give up, Marie-Maya is strong, love among humans does exist, they do not deserve to be wiped out of

existence... Marie-Maya is loved.'

Ruto dropped to her knees in the tub, a voice different from the dark one that invaded her mind so often invaded her thoughts,

the small, soft voice echoing threw her heads.

"Who are you....?"

'I'm Marie-Maya.'

"No...I 'am..."

"I'm Marie-Maya, she is Marie-Maya, you are us."

" We are Marie-Maya but she is Ruto. She is not us."

"And at the same time, she is us."

Ruto could feel her body trembling all over and she gripped her head harder, fighting the pain that was buzzing threw it off.

"I...I don't understand! How can you both be me, when I am me? Or...am I me...? who am I?"

The two voices inside her head echoed together, almost mockingly.

"Marie-Maya is Marie-Maya."

Ruto sobbed defeated, letting her head drop as the water continued to spray on her trembling body.

The group sat around the table, except for Ruto who had yet to arrive. Squall looked at them seriously, before taking a breath

and speaking.

"I was visited last night, by Lounaru's last servant, Lemon. He told me that there is suppose to be an attack on this village

tonight. He begged me to get everyone out of the city, he said he did not want to kill anymore...but that he had a mission of

some sorts to complete...What do you guys make of this?"

The group frowned in thought, until Alex spoke up, in his usual monotone manner.

"He is a solider of Taromecika's, I know all about missions. It seems to me, that if he was telling the truth, then his main mission

is not to be working for Taromecika, but something else far more important to him. Perhaps a self-mission."

"....But if his main mission is not working for Taromecika, what could it be? And if he is concerned so much about these

peoples lives, then is he friend or foe?" Mimi questioned.

"He could just be trying to throw us off track, maybe they have some sort of surprise attack waiting outside of the village

or...maybe they are trying to get us to trust Lemon and then have him try and destroy us." Carrie reasoned.

"Damn!" Genki cursed. " All this trouble and all we need is one more damn orb, and then we could have defeated Taromecika

and be done with all of this!"

"Why don't we just get the orb, then?" Lima asked, receiving groans from him traveling companions.

"We would if the orb of light was not acting up." Mimi sighed sadly.

Genki blinked, taking a confused look at Ryan's sword and gasped.

"HEY!! Ryan! Your sword--!! It's...back to normal, the way it was before it became the sword of light!"

Their were gasps from all around the table and before he knew it, his sword, which was now an shadowy black again was the

center of attention. Ryan stared down at it in confusion, and then the memory of how the orb had changed into a talisman last

night entered into his mind.

"I forgot....but last night...."

Genki's face turned red, and he lowered his eyes to the floor. Ryan sneered at him before continuing.

"Last night...I had a horrible dream of Taromecika attacking Ruto and....when...I...err....when to check on her, I felt this strange

sensation over my body, It was coming from the orb, when I touched it, it turned into some sort of talisman "

The group hummed in confusion.

"Can...I see it? I was thought in many...goddess legends...Could I...." Genki asked innocently, but had a strange look in his eyes.

Ryan nodded but then remembered, he had left it in the room this morning.

"I...uh...don't have it...."

"I do." Ruto's voice suddenly said as she approached them, holding it in her delicate hand. "I know what this symbol means, a

devil and an angel embracing means the joining of light and darkness. Which, represents the goddess very well, might I add. In

some legends, it shows that light and darkness are the same and that...they can often become the other...if the orb of light, were

to become the orb of darkness then evil will devour the land."

"How does the orb of light become the orb of darkness?" Carrie asked.

"If the holder of it becomes corrupted....before his mission with the orb is over. So as long as the orb exist, the darkness can

never win."

"But why did it turn into a talisman?" Lima blinked, finally asking a reasonable question.

Ruto frowned. "The orb of light is only suppose to change into a talisman, after we find all of the orbs...I don't get it. The

talisman has the power to protect against the darkness...it holds great power. However....now that it is the talisman it can not

point out where the goddess orbs are."

"WHAT!?!" The group exclaimed together in shock.

"Wait...Ruto, you said that it will only change into a talisman after we get all the orbs together...what were the orbs names

again?" Mimi asked shyly.

"Hm? Well, it's Hope, Innocence, Purity, Friendship, Kindness, Love and Truth....we are missing the orb of 'truth.' "

"Hey, Ruto, do you think it is possible that you have the final orb?" Carrie asked, surprising them all.

"Uh...." Ruto looked down nervously. "I don't think I hold an orb...no...I think I would feel it...anyway...the orb of light never

pointed to me...if I had an orb it would have pointed me out in Trisu when you first used it."

"....We did not use it before going to Trisu." Mimi reminded. "...You might..."

"No...the orb of light is suppose to only change into a talisman when all of the orbs are near each other...so it should have changed the

moment we or just one of the other orb carriers first came into contact with Alex....that is if I had an orb...."

The group frowned sadly, while Squall just got up from his chair and began to head for the door.

"Hey, where you going?" Genki called, Squall turned around, giving them all an sharp eye.

"....I'm going to try and get all the people evacuated before tonight. You can stay hear and ponder over things all you

like...But...it wont save these people from their deaths."

"Eh?" Ruto blinked confused. "What is he talking about?"

"We'll explain it later." Carrie frowned. "But right now, I think we should get into teams of two. I'll go with Mimi!!"

"Awww...."Genki sighed quietly, "Darn it!"

"Lima go with Squall!!" The elf beamed, dashing after the man-beast, with blushed cheeks.

Ryan bit his lip, their was only four people left, including himself...and the chances of him being paired with Ruto were high...and

right now...he was still to ashamed to face her. He slowly raised his eyes to meet hers, which looked at him hopefully but he

looked away, causing that hopeful look to fade.

Ruto looked away at the floor, tears shining in her eyes.

"A...A...Alex?"

"You want to go with me?" The solider asked, but Ruto shock her head.

"No...I want you and Ryan to get to know each other." She managed a weak smile. "I'm your only friend, you can stand to

make more...and you and Ryan can be a lot alike at times."

'Yeah...cold and unfeeling....' She added to herself with a growl. 'Not to mention selfish, he could at least look at me.....'

Both Alex and Ryan looked a little surprised at this, but the perfect solider nodded.

"If that is what you wish Princess Marie-Maya...but...I don't need friends..."

Ryan allowed Alex to pull him away from Ruto and Genki who stood watching them leave. The demon-half noticed the sad

look in Ruto's eyes, and closed his own, unable to bare the fact that he was causing her that pained expression.

'Ruto...I'm sorry....'

Genki turned to Ruto who stood staring after Ryan silently, eyes wavering.

"Ruto...I know what happened last night...It's all right."

The girl choked back a sob.

"You can talk to me if you want...Sure I don't have the best ears...and stuff, I'm sure Alex who knew you loner could have

helped you more...."

"No...Alex could never understand...he or at least he tried to let emotions go along time ago...anyway...his mission is to destroy

anyone who causes me harm...I may be mad at Ryan but I don't want him dead..."

"Ruto...Ryan...he doesn't....he doesn't hate you or anything...it's just that he is shy...and ashamed... he's scared Ruto..."

"...Hmmmm....how does he think I feel....does he even care....I was a fool to think he cared....a damn fool...I'll...I'll....just....I'll

just forget about him and finish this mission...."

"Ruto he does care!" Genki protested.

"I don't need to hear you say that....I need to hear him say it...come on." She wiped some tears away from her eyes with her

sleeve.

"Lets....go get the people out of this village...."

Genki sighed, balling his fists until his knuckles turned white. 'Ryan...you can be such an idiot....!'

Squall groaned, eyeing Lima who walked beside him, slurping an ice-cream cone.

".....Why did you come with me?" he demanded to know, his voice ice.

The elf giggled slightly. "Because Lima thought you needed the company..."

".....I don't need company...company is a thing humans want."

"If only humans want company, why do wolves always hunt in packs?"

Squall paused, unsure of how to answer, Lima had actually said something intelligent.

"......hn?......."

Lima giggled, blushing. "I like your company Squally...."

Squall's eyes widened as the elf took his arm and leaned her head on his shoulder.

"What are you doing..............?"

Lima sighed dreamily, with her eyes closed. "Getting closer...your arm feels so strong...."

'Oh god....!!' Squall gulped Panicked, as realization dawned on him. 'Lima has a crush on me!!'

Lemon sighed, rolling onto his back as he gazed up at the ceiling. The clock on his wall ticked loudly, every tick, the closer the

time would come for him to end more lives.

'I....don't want this....But...I have no choice...I must help her...I...I must do this to redeem myself...And the only way to be

close to her is to be on the side of darkness.'

"Lemon."

The vampire/devil lifted himself into a setting position off his bed and looked towards Hikari whom looked back at him with her

arms folded over her chest.

"Where were you last night?"

".....Uh...shopping!!" Lemon exclaimed, with a wide smile.

Hikari raised her eye brow, her face twisted in surprise. "Oh? Shopping?"

"Yeah!" Lemon held out his long nails to reveal crimson polish. "Watcha think? Suits me?"

The demon woman made a disgusted sneer. "What kind of boy, dresses, sounds, acts and looks like a girl...I can't believe your

Lounaru's top warrior."

Lemon grinned. "Well, there are many things people just can't believe, but I'm a man, and that's the truth, my dear!"

"Then start acting like it!" Hikari growled, and then folding her arms she tried to regain her compositor. "We will begin to attack

the village in an hour, you should get ready."

"I know I'm probably going to be yelled at for asking this but WHY do we want to destroy the village? Why can't we just

attack the group?"

Hikari sighed irritably. "Destroying the village and the people in it will bring forth lots of hate, more hate for Master Taromecika

to feed off of, the more stronger he will be!"

"....He is already more powerful then anyone on this planet...why does he want more power?"

Lemon cried out as a struck to his jaw sent him tumbling off the bed, wiping some blood away from his mouth he narrowed his

eyes at Hikari, growling.

"Omae o korosu!"

"HOHOHOHAUUUUUAAAA!!!!" The demon woman laughed that annoying laugh of hers. "Power is everything! So what if

he is already the most powerful being? Anyway....powerful men...are sexy."

Lounaru rolled his eyes with a sigh as Hikari continued to speak.

"I'm not going to send you alone to destroy that village...Master Keith is going with you."

Lemon's eyes widened. "Master Keith!? Who---no....no....can't be....impossible....There is no way.....!!"

Hikari just smirked.

Mimi sighed, staring out hopelessly out at the water ahead of her, while Carrie cried and pleaded with passing towns people to

lesson to them, but no one would lesson.

'.....It's so hopeless....I should have known I couldn't do anything....if only.....I don't want to see these people die....please

"GIRLFRIEND!?!?" Squall almost turned green.

"Squally! They aren't lessening, what do we do!?"

Squall looked away from her at the ground. "....they will know we were telling the truth....when they see themselves and

everyone they love dying...it's like Noah's arc, only one man and his family believed the flood was going to happen, all the rest

of the people laughed at him. So only Noah and his family were saved and all those who did not heed his warning died."

"If it's like Noah's arc shouldn't we get two of every animal?"

Both Genki and Ruto stood on top of a table in a restaurant, shouting to a confused and annoyed crowd.

"ARE YOU IDIOTS!!! GET OUT OF TOWN, YOUR ALL GOING TO DIE!!!!!!!!!!!" Ruto screamed.

"YEAH!!! DON'T JUST SET THERE!!!!!"

"MOVE IT!!!!"

"Excuse me...." The manager of the restaurant sighed approaching them. "Can you please leave?"

Ruto looked over at the man, face red with anger. "TAROMECIKA IS GOING TO ATTACK!!! WE ARE TRYING TO

SAVE YOUR LIVES HEAR!!! IF YOU VALUE YOUR DAMN LIVES GET OUT OF TOWN NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"YEAH!!!!"

The manager sighed, snapping his fingers together and two strong guards approached them, and picking Genki and Ruto up by

their shirts threw them outside.

Ruto and Genki growled, folding their arms together as they lessened to the cheering of the people inside of the restaurant.

Ryan and Alex sat on the ground, defeated. No one would lesson to them....no one...They could only hope that Lemon or

Squall was playing a prank on them. They knew that even if they were to get people to lesson to them now it would be to

late....considering there was only five minuets until sunset....before the slaughter would begin.

Ryan allowed his mind to wander back to Ruto...and once again he could feel guilt consume him....he stared down at the

talisman...cursing it and his dream.

"What did you do to Ruto this morning........?" Alex finally spoke, not even facing him.

Ryan froze, not sure what to do.

"I saw what happened last night between you to." Alex finally turned to face him, he was giving him a death glare with those icy

blue eyes of his. "My mission is to protect Princess Marie-Maya from anything or anyone the harms her and that includes you."

"......!!"

Ryan suddenly found himself being squeezed by the throat by one of Alex's powerful fists.

"I will admit it...I love Marie-Maya...but she loves another and that other is you, I will do anything to make her happy....so I

wont kill you...but you better pull your act together, because you have no idea just how lucky you are....it's such Injustice if you

don't realize the treasure you have." Alex let Ryan go, and took a few steps away, while the demon-half just stared at him in

shock.

"....having someone who cares about you....that is probably the best treasure in the world.....those of you that can feel love

should not waist it.........."

Lemon closed his eyes, smiling weakly, as he lessened to what they were saying.

"No one should waist any part of life.........you never know when it may end......"

Keith eyed him bitterly. "What are you babbling about, fool?"

"....Nothing a insane man would understand...."

Lemon cried out as he was smashed across the face with a powerful fist for the third time in two days because of his mouth, wiping a trickle of blood away from his lip, he

stared at Keith threw wide eyes.

"Insane like hell! Servant, you obey me, you do not talk back, now destroy this village!"

"I obey only Lounaru....."

Lemon cried out as Keith rewarded him with another punch to his face. Lemon watched as Keith began to summon lesser

demons...and slowly he shook his head, looking at the town below, and sighed. 'Guess I have no choice....but to become the

God Of Death once again.'

Everyone in the town gasped, as the sky suddenly began to darken, and lightning struck. Everyone in Ryan's group stared up in

the sky at Keith and Lemon who floated before them.

"I don't believe it...." Genki muttered. "It's true....Keith did betray us...."

"We failed in getting anyone to escape from hear....let's not fail in defeating them!" Ruto exclaimed.

"People of Kalikow!" Keith began, his voice like thunder. "Surrender yourselves to Lord Taromecika, or else, we will kill you

all."

"NO!!!" Ryan exclaimed, catching Keith's attention. "It is I you want! Leave the people in this village out of this!!"

"Not only you Ryan...but all of your group! They all must die!"

"Keith why are you doing this!?"

"It is Saiyoua's will...that all life on this planet is destroyed...."

"Saiyoua!?" Lima gasped. "The dark goddess?"

"Oh god...Carrie....all life destroyed?" Mimi repeated, trembling.

"How can he....know what Saiyoua wishes? It's impossible!" Carrie exclaimed.

"Saiyoua...." Ruto mumbled. "If her will is carried out.....It will be a global blood bath."

"We will fight you! We are not afraid!" Alex called up to him, pulling out his gun. Ryan nudged Alex in the harm, whispering

threw clenched teeth.

"We can't fight hear...There are to many innocent bystanders....!"

"I agree..." Keith grinned. "Lemon why not you take care of that?"

"Sure..." The vampire/devil raised his hand up into the air, a black scythe appearing in it. "SILENT MESSENGER!!!!!!"

Dark light exploded from the staff, it struck people, houses, buildings....leaving the whole town in ruins. Ryan turned towards

Keith, shocked, eyes wide and watering at all the death that took place in less then a few moments.

"Now, Ryan, we can fight for there are no longer any bystanders left to worry about."

"YOUR BASTARD!!" The demon-half sobbed.

"Everyone....was killed...." Mimi trailed off...her eyes watering.

"How horrible...." Carrie agreed. "We...we have to kill them....before they kill anyone else!"

"......War always ends in death....and the only thing that can stop war is more death....Let's fight and give it all we got...!" Ruto

exclaimed.

"Yeah, all we can do is fight right now! And we have to keep fighting, no matter what!" Genki agreed determinably.

Lima wailed, tears spilling over her cheeks. "This is so scary!!! Please let Lima wake up!!!"

' Lemon....I thought you did not want to kill anymore....' Squall thought staring up at the vampire/devil.

"So it seems your all ready to fight. I'll let you all, have the 1st attack." Keith grinned cocky.

Ryan growled. "EVERYONE!!! ATTACK ALL AT ONCE!!!"

Keith's and Lemon's faces flashed surprised as the members of the group began to glow brightly.

"This....the sheer rage of the peoples deaths are causing them to use the goddess orbs inside of their bodies!!" Keith realized.

"MASENKO-CHAAAAAA!!!!!" Genki exclaimed, releasing five giant beams of energy.

"DRAGON SALVE!!!!!!" Ruto summoned.

"PETAL DANCE!!!!!"

" FINAL FLASH!!!"

"ICE BOMB!!!" Squall exclaimed, using a blast of ice magic he summoned out of his mouth as he did a wolf howl.

Trembling Lima lifted her staff into the air. "POWERS ANSWER MY CALLING!!! WATER TWISTER!!!"

A huge twister of water was summoned, and it spun towards Keith, gathering the attacks of the others.

"Energy shot!!" Alex called, transferring some of his own life force into his bullet as he shot his gun.

The talisman around Ryan's neck began to glow, as the boy raised his hands into the air. Golden energy began to surround his

body, and his eyes seemed to blank out as if in a trance.

"DRAGON OF LIGHT!!!!" Around twenty beams of light blasted forward, like arrows, and all joined into one to create a

powerful dragon made out light, which joined with the magic of the others.

Keith screamed, throwing his arms up in front of his face. "ULTIMATE SHIELD!!!!"

The attacks hit, Keith's shield was strong but the force of the attacks caused it to explode, Sending Keith and the members of

Ryan's group flying backwards. Lemon stared down at them all, unharmed, eyes wide.

"......Uhhhhh...." Keith coughed, weakly pulling himself up to his feet, blood trickling down his lip.

The members of Ryan's group laid on the ground twitching, eyes opened, but to weak to even stand.

"Lemon! D...*cough!* Destroy them all now!!" Keith demanded spitting up blood as he did.

The Vampire/Devil nodded, raising his scythe up into the air.

"Lemon!!"

All movement stopped as Squall slowly stumbled towards them. blood trickling down his forehead and mouth as he looked up

to face Lemon.

"Stop this...you don't have to do this!"

"....I do....It is the only way I can complete my mission....the only way I can be close to her, is to obey her!"

"Obey who, Lemon? Who is it that is worth so many deaths?"

The vampire/devil lowered his eyes sadly...beginning to tremble.

"You're a slave, a servant....you have no will of your own. Your told an order and you go threw with it...never thinking

twice....you're a coward...." Squall finished.

Lemon turned to him his eyes burning. "No!!! I'm not a coward!"

Squall stumbled backwards as he was smashed with an dark energy blast, blood poured out of his mouth from the impact and

he fell to the ground. Lemon watched trembling all over as the man-best slowly raised himself upward, staring at Lemon threw

intense eyes.

"How many more people must you kill Lemon?"

Lemon's eyes widened shocked.

"How many more times must you kill that girl and her dog?"

Slowly tears began to fold Lemon's eyes and slowly he let his scythe drop to the ground, smashing as it made contact with the

rocks.

"When can I stop being the God Of Death?" Lemon cried bitterly.

"LEMON!" Keith growled. "What are you doing!? Attack them now!!!"

"No....NO!!! No more death, doing this will not save her....But destroying you and Taromecika....that can save

everyone...maybe not her....but millions of lives is more important then one...."

"LEMON!!!" Keith cried. "YOU BETRAY MASTER TAROMECIKA!?"

"How can I betray him, when I was never on Taromecika's side...!? DEVIL SPEAR!!"

Keith cried out in pain, as a large black spear blasted forth from Lemon's hand, and impaled him threw the chest.

"Ehhh....uhhh....I....I'll....I'll....be back." Keith disappeared, leaving behind only his blood stains.

"Finally......no more...." Lemon muttered before passing out.

"Lemon!" Squall exclaimed, diving underneath the boy, catching the limp body in his arms.

Suddenly Lemon began to glow followed by everyone else in Ryan's group. Squall looked around himself shocked as

everyone, including himself began to heal.

'Could it be....?' The thoughts aroused in his mind, his mind flickering back to the 2nd verse of the song Lemon had sang after

the battle in Angelo.

Slowly the other members of the group approached Squall and the still passed out Lemon. Everyone was silent as Ryan's

talisman began to glow, and the group watched in awe as the light engulfed Lemon's body, his white hair turned into long pale golden

locks, and his pale skin became a pale peach color instead of milky white, his tail disappeared and instead of devil wings a pair of sliver bat wings

took their place. He also became shorter and his face became a lot younger as well. Slowly with a groan he opened his once

dull eyes which now were now shining and beautiful.

"Hmmm....oh....What happened? I feel so weird...." He muttered.

"Lemon?" Squall asked stunned.

"Huh..." The boy lifted himself off of the man-beasts lap, staggering a bit as he tried to walk. The 30 year old man now

appeared no older then 15 or maybe even 13. He paused as he came to a puddle of blood, looking down at it his eyes

widened surprised as he saw his reflection looking back at him.

"My wings their different...my tail....It's gone...?" The boy looked down at his hands which were no longer pale, tears filling his eyes.

"I'm....back to normal....I'm no longer a....a devil...."

The group stared at him in surprise. He turned to them, tears falling down his cheeks as he looked back at them, a happy smile

plastered on his face.

"I never thought I would be normal again....When the goddess wars started so many years ago, I was corrupted by darkness

and henceforth became part devil, the only change was the tail and wings...some new powers....then I joined Taromecika....or

rather Lounaru....and they....they used machines to alter me....transforming me into the beast you once saw before....All that

time I was really an 13th year old Dampier....well a few thousands years in humans years but 13 in vampire...yeah...am no longer a devamp, I'm vampire/human again!....I can't believe I almost forgot who I was.....I'm Mauls

Yamerasa....but Mauls is still dead....that innocent child can never return....so I shall keep the name Lemon...Lemon, the one who holds the final orb, the orb of truth.

The group gasped, but then Ruto smiled, nodding her head.

"Mauls Yamerasa... I remember you...You looked so different in that devil form and it's been so long, I couldn't recognize you."

"Maya!!!" Lemon laughed, giving her a hug.

Ryan and Alex, looked shocked.

`Mauls....' Ryan thought. `Ruto mentioned that name before...her child hood friend, Mauls?'

"God, never thought I'd see you again, remember how we would play tea-party when we were babies?" Lemon chuckled.

"And when we would dress up in my mom clothes?" Ruto giggled.

"Yeah, and how I would dress up as a girl and we would go to ladies clubs together, and I would hit on a big pile of guys?"

Ruto laughed. "Yeah, they always ran away screaming when they got you in bed and saw that you were actually a boy."

"Yeah, I lost so many dates that way." Lemon chuckled.

"Uhhh....You two, know each other?" Mimi asked, confused.

"Yeah, we use to play so much together when we were small." Ruto smiled.

"....INJUSTICE!!!" Alex suddenly screamed. "I recognize that face!!! You told your father and I it was a school-girl friend

named Mally!! Not some sort of screwed up, gay boy!!!"

Lemon and Ruto began to laugh.

"Father would not allow me to play with boys, you know that."

Lemon grinned. "Anyway, you don't have to worry about me hitting on this pretty lady, I'm not into girls, remember?"

'Well....It's a relief....I guess....' Ryan frowned.

"I remember when you left...I....I remember slightly... giving you an orb...." Ruto looked at him, the boy smiled, placing a hand

on his heart.

"And it saved me in the end...."

"So...I guess you'll be joining us now...right?" Carrie asked.

"I guess, so." Lemon smiled widely.

"Welcome to the group Lemon!" Genki grinned, Mimi nodded in agreement.

"Lima says hi!!"

"....Well...Mally, you're a weak woman-man but if Marie-Maya wants you to come along...then welcome to the group."

Lemon rolled his eyes. "Alex...you never change!"

"Well, It's nice to meet you Lemon." Ryan smiled.

"Thanks. I have a feeling that this is going to be the start of a great adventure!" Lemon suddenly had his arm around Squall.

"Aren't you going to welcome me?"

The man-best blinked. "................Hn?"

"....Gee...you don't talk much out of battle..." Lemon frowned. "But,....I'll break your shell someday...and this time...without

reading your mind."

Squall turned bright pink as Lemon pecked him on the cheek and ran back to Ruto twirling her around.

"Well everyone! Let's go!!!"

"Wow...he may have more energy then even you Genki!" Mimi exclaimed.

"I'll take that as a challenge." Genki smirked, jumping up in the air.

"EVERYONE!!! What are we waiting for, lets go back to Marlo magic school!!"

"YEAH!!!" The group agreed, cheerfully.

"Master Taromecika...." Hikari spoke, approaching him. The demon god looked up at her, holding a wine glass gracefully in his

hand.

"Yes?"

"Lemon has betrayed us....he was an orb holder, now Ryan and his group has all the orbs and are heading back to the

school....Keith is seriously injured but we have him being healed....What is your command?"

"Let them go back to school."

"What!?" Hikari gasped, eyes going wide.

"It was my plan all along...you will see...."
